Just received my order today (36kg hexagonal weights).... tried them and must admit I'm impressed. My only question is, if any of the parts do happen to break can they be replaced
Thank you for the video, please make another review after a few months of usage and how they are with wear and tear? I am seriously considering getting these but the 40kg ones, would like to confirm they are okay after usage for a while.
Hi there, I will definitely make another video soon as I've been using these 3-4 times per week, with a variety of exercises. I believe the 40KG ones are a similar style (where the plates are pushed against each other) and I've not had any issues related to wear and tear, or any issues with them being a bit loose or anything like that. They still click round nicely (to select different weights) and lifting them out/putting them back still 'feels' the same to me. It's been only a few months since I purchased them and, despite regular use, they still feel 'as new' to me. The only reason I haven't made another review video is that there's not really anything negative to say!
Great choice! I've been using them for a couple of weeks now, for about 7-8 workouts, and I'm still blown away by the quality. Let me know how you get on!
@ChrisRossUK from your experience are these good for working out, also are there any cons. I heard someone say you can't twist them or put them vertical in the air is that true
@@Adamclws I've had no issues working out with them a few times a week. You can definitely twist them and move them around, and the plates stay locked together. For example, I do hammer curls and Arnold presses without issues.
In my experience, not really. The plates themselves (there's 8 per side) are quite closely tucked together and so there's not a lot of movement when pulling them out, or putting them aware. Of course, as you get heavier, you'll get an audible 'clunk' sound as you put them back but the base does a pretty good job of isolating sound. The plates on the actual dumbbells don't make a sound whilst they're in use however.
@@Armoede12 in my experience, not really. If you were doing HIIT workouts with them, you may notice some rattling but the only noise I hear is when I'm picking them up or putting them down.
@ChrisRossUK I see thx for replying, I'm considering buying the 41.5 KG variant but what if the mechanism gets broken? I already had adjustable dumbbells that were like that and repairing them is almost impossible
@@Armoede12 to be honest, I think you're a bit stuck if the mechanism breaks however I've just had a look at the 41KG ones and it's the same mechanism as the ones I have and it's all very enclosed. I've dealt with their customer service before and they're really good so I'd like to think they'd help if anything went wrong.

The only thing I can say is that I've had a couple of interactions with their customer support and they're really good. 👍🏻
@@ChrisRossUK that's good to hear... normally once you've purchased something most companies will wash there hand's of you...👍👍
@@billybodgit6281 for sure, but my dealings with Braingain have been really positive. Let me know how you get on!

Thanks for the review! Do these audibly clatter while training?
