This song was recorded at two octaves and Dimash sings it live at five octaves of vocal range, making an ordinary song an extraordinary masterpiece that the world is getting to know. Dimash uses genres or styles as part of his performance, switching it up depends on the mood of the phrase. It’s normal for him to use more than 2 genres in one song.
The thumbs down, mainly trolls, so jealous...could be a few just don't like his genre of music but no reason to thumbs down a singer. Thumbs down just hateful mean people that are just negative towards anyone or anything that brings out light as they only want and feel darkness ...miaerable people to be sure. I listened to many music genres, different singers and artists, then came Dimash and he spoilt it to me. I no longer can listen to others without comparing it with him.

Dimash has reinvented ‘SINFUL PASSION’, a beautiful song from 1998, originally created and performed by Kazakhstan band, A-Studio (the same band on this stage with Dimash). Sinful Passion was composed by Baigali Serkebayev (at keyboards.) The origional singer of this song passed away from a heart attack in 2015. The "yodel" you hear is a mourning lament to that singer. Sinful Passion (Via: Kevin Keys) Great reaction man! He is amazing right? The vocal range in this song is A1 (vocal fry) - C2 (chest) - A#5 (mix) - C6 (head) - E6 (whistle). Basically he sings in all 5 registers. As for 5:27 - the technique has several different names but it's basically done with quarter tone halfway between head voice and chest voice. The 24 secs long is impressive but what makes it even more insane is that it is a sustain mix voice belting starts from C5 sliding up smoothly to A#5 before doing that RnB running down back to chest voice - not once his voice breaks in transition. Those who sing know very well how difficult it is to sustain belting in high note mix voice, let alone keep it up and doing crazy runs for 24secs.

This was recorded and performed from his home studio as a part from the online concert due to the Covid pandemic. He's accompanied by only 2 musicians and he himself singing and sitting cross legged on a piano stool. No big stage, spectacular lighting, fancy tuxedo nor fireworks going, yet it was his most epic but somehow intimate to us viewers. The level of performance/musicality that he has is just beyond our imagination. It's also feel somewhat mystical and ethereal. Simply divine. Completely agree with your comments. It's like saying you don't like Usain Bolt because you're a swimmer! I don't care what sports you're into, you gotta admire the fastest runner on earth. Same with Dimash. Any person in love with music has to admire Dimash's vocal mastery, earned with over 20 years of training and hard work. I heard some judges on the World's Best show saying they didn't like Dimash because his vocals were too perfect. WTH!!! Anyone saying that is just completely ignorant about music. Dimash deserves the utmost respect in the music profession.
Through the 70s I saw Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath live, I personally knew Lemmy for over 40 years, But my biggest recent excitement was getting 5th row tickets to see Dimash live at the ISS Dome in Dusseldorf on March 20th 2021. I'm usually a metal head, but this guys live shows are something to behold.

He knows exactly the way it should be made from A to Z. He knows precisely how the song should be sung. He has it all planned in his head from A to Z from the very beginning."
Russian composer Igor Krutoy, whos composed songs for Dimash says: "Its always easy to work with him because he literally breathes music, he lives music, it nourishes him. That's true everyone has their taste but at least they can appreciate the talent hopefully.
The thumbs down, mainly trolls, so jealous...could be a few just don't like his genre of music but no reason to thumbs down a singer. Scorpions year 2000 with the Berlin symphony orchestra, Freddie Mercury and Bohemian Rhapsody, Metallica and San Francisco orchestra 1999, Kiss has already done in 2003 in Australia, Deep Purple in 1969, Jethro Tull in 1985 London Symphony Orchestra. Heavy rock was never my preference, I always liked lighter, like Queen, but these bands rocked the Symphonic Orchestras and when I heard Dimash it won me over as soon as I heard it.

The gentleman on the keyboard, is the composer of this song...this performance was to acknowledge him and his band...A Studio..a very popular band for many years...their lead singer had passed and so Dimash was invited to sing this song...you can check out the original version....so you bet they were really playing...If you start watching Dimash's newer releases you will become acquainted with the gentleman in the white shirt, who is standing and applauding at the end of the song..He is Billionaire Master Composer.."Igor Krutoy" who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash..great music was the result...He wrote "Olympico" for Dimash to sing at the opening Ceremony of the European Games last year...

This is the original band that wrote the song. The keyboard guy wrote the song. The part that is 'traditional' after the operatic part, was a tribute to the original singer of this song who has passed away.

But, understand that it's important that correct info be put out and we should always correct things when people are mistaken about Dimash. Bad info seems to take on a life of it's own for some reason. It wasn't a tribute to the singer who passed away. They all loved and respected him to be sure. But that wasn't why that part was added and it isn't part of any traditional funeral dirge or the like. Please don't take offense. Everyone's heart is in the right place in this matter. Proving a negative is impossible but I can provide links to what Dimash is doing with the Chords Tremolo part at 9:16 if you need me to.

Dimash has reinvented ‘SINFUL PASSION’, a beautiful song from 1998, originally created and performed by Kazakhstan band, A-Studio (the same band on this stage with Dimash). Sinful Passion was composed by Baigali Serkebayev (at keyboards.) The origional singer of this song passed away from a heart attack in 2015. The "yodel" you hear is a mourning lament to that singer.

Great reaction man! He is amazing right? The vocal range in this song is A1 (vocal fry) - C2 (chest) - A#5 (mix) - C6 (head) - E6 (whistle). Basically he sings in all 5 registers. As for 5:27 - the technique has several different names but it's basically done with quarter tone halfway between head voice and chest voice. The 24 secs long is impressive but what makes it even more insane is that it is a sustain mix voice belting starts from C5 sliding up smoothly to A#5 before doing that RnB running down back to chest voice - not once his voice breaks in transition. Those who sing know very well how difficult it is to sustain belting in high note mix voice, let alone keep it up and doing crazy runs for 24secs.

Dimash has an amazing emotional and musical IQ. He just KNOWS, musically, where to go to reach us. He's a genius. He resonates on some sort of universal heartbeat rhythm. Similarly, I don't listen to Mariah Carey or Pavarotti or Bocelli. Dimash is a league of his own.

Yes, you are right, the former lead vokalist Batyr ( his name), a great saxophonist as well, passed away 5 years ago. Dimash loves his songs and he wants to sing his songs one day. ( you can see on some videos where Dimash during the breaks is singing his songs) The composer of this song is a man at the piano- Baigaly Serkebayev.

@@dicodec then I'll be humbly recommend Dimash's "Samaltau" performance from Tokyo Jazz Festival (aired online) 2020. This was recorded and performed from his home studio as a part from the online concert due to the Covid pandemic.
He's accompanied by only 2 musicians and he himself singing and sitting cross legged on a piano stool. No big stage, spectacular lighting, fancy tuxedo nor fireworks going, yet it was his most epic but somehow intimate to us viewers.
The level of performance/musicality that he has is just beyond our imagination. It's also feel somewhat mystical and ethereal. Simply divine. This stripped back and honest performance of him is a must see among dears. Please watch it. Thank you ..

Completely agree with your comments. It's like saying you don't like Usain Bolt because you're a swimmer! I don't care what sports you're into, you gotta admire the fastest runner on earth. Same with Dimash. Any person in love with music has to admire Dimash's vocal mastery, earned with over 20 years of training and hard work. I heard some judges on the World's Best show saying they didn't like Dimash because his vocals were too perfect. WTH!!! Anyone saying that is just completely ignorant about music. Dimash deserves the utmost respect in the music profession.
Through the 70s I saw Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath live, I personally knew Lemmy for over 40 years, But my biggest recent excitement was getting 5th row tickets to see Dimash live at the ISS Dome in Dusseldorf on March 20th 2021. I'm usually a metal head, but this guys live shows are something to behold.
