A couple of years ago a friend of mine, who's french wasn't very good, was immigrating to France to live with his girlfriend. I got him this book as a goodbye gift.
When I first watched Allo Allo I was in tears laughing. I later showed it to my friend in Germany (I'm 24 and from the U.S) and he fell in love with it as well. It is still being watched by the younger generations today. Just goes to show how great it is, and I'm glad to see Arthur doing well!
I am also German and I used to watch it on the Dutch channels in English in the 80s and 90s. Big fan then and still today. They tried to dub it into German but it was a disaster....
@ruggernutter03 I understand that. The same friend I showed allo allo to, watched the princess bride dubbed in German, and didn't think it was very funny. Then we watched it in English, and he said it was so much better. Now it's our favorite movie to watch together.
