As just a football fan looking from the outside,i get the excitement but at the end it’s just the state of football currently and the financial gap the CL is just a competition impossible for a club like Celtic to win , yes everybody wants to play in the premium competition mesure yourself against the top teams ,and Rodger’s doing amazing job but at the end he don’t have players like Mbappe ,Debruyne,Yamal so he will always hit a wall at some point Celtic or a team made for competion like Europa or Conference where they can go whit real expectations to maybe go in the final 8 or even 4 team and from there anything is possible ,again it’s not a Celtic problem they are doing amazing just a European football problem and the state of the game and the finances !!
I genuinely think if Brendan swaps out McGregor for Bernardo, with everyone staying fit, we could go deep No harm to McGregor, but to play CDM, you need to win duels, take Engels for instance from last night, 12 duels attempted, 9 successful, McGregor attempted 5 duels and only 1 was successful, we need a player more suited to CDM from a defensive pov for when the level of opposition is raised, Bernardo won 22 ground duels in Europe last season So I think Bernardo, Engels and Hatate should be the midfield, won't happen, but should
