I have the charging base and it would be neat if she could just spend the day roaming around the house and interacting with stuff she finds, but she roams the house for a few minutes, goes to sleep and becomes totally inactive if left to her own devices.

I see this video was 11 months old, did you get to keep it or return it?
I kept it, it's still pretty cool. I also got the charging base for it and it's supposed to seek out the charging base and charge as needed. I haven't run any firmware updates since the day I got it, and really should. Who knows, maybe it got better? A couple of weeks ago I got bored and charged the batteries and let it wander around the house. It found my washing machine and was holding a weird conversation with it while my dog nervously watched from a distance. It was funny.

Litter on the ground is a problem. I try to vacuum the room regularly but often get busy and forget.
