    Birla sir, you are the one who explained the driving lane and overtake lane correctly. This is internationally followed standard. Even I try to follow it mostly.
    But in our indian traffic conditions we have lot of slow moving vehicles. So we fast moving vehicles dont have any other option apart from driving continuously in overtake lane(fast lane as per India).

  • @bashokvalan1
    @bashokvalan1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Probably this is misleading. Lane 1 at the right side is fast track. Vehicles moving at higher speed and during over taking we can use fast track. Lane to is for heave trucks and slow/ medium speed vehicles. 2 wheelers can also use this track. The left track is only for the vehicles coming from service road or other roads. As you said if 2 wheelers are ridden in the lane 3, it sure that it will end up with accident. Because in many places there will be no roads, stones, foot path in case of bridges, other vehicles are stopped for rest or on break down... so bikes should use the proper lane only...

    • @rajank8853

    90 percentage of cars and heavy trucks going on the third lane which is used for two wheelers only. it's very dangerous to take overtake on the 3rd lane for two wheelers to pass the trucks. one more thing if a truck is going on 1st lane at the time if a bus is overtaking the truck in 2nd lane they don't even give any response to the 2 wheelers going the 3rd lane.

  • @antonfelix89
    @antonfelix89 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    One more tip is the way the town/route buses abruptly stop in between the road, technically it wud be a bus stop.But these buses stop to drop passengers.Especially between kooteripattu and tindivanam, many moffusil buses have stops right on the middle of the road. So as soon as one crosses vikravandi toll, one should be more attentive especially with local route buses as they will stop at their whims.So close tailgating will end up in disaster.One more thing is whenever you overtaking a bus which is stopped, look below the bus well in advance for passenger movement.
    Most of the passengers dont cross the bus from behind it but from the front.

      @@BupeshKumar1if 2 wheelers want to go above 100kmph they can use lane 1 or 2.. because slow movers are in 3rd lane.. so it'll be dangerous to both whereas 1st lane will be used by fast movers who can equally move with them

    You are sharing wrong info bro. Lane no. 2 in a 2-lane road is for slow movers including 2-wheelers. In 2-lane road, the solid line at the end, beyond that, no vehicle should travel. It is for emergency vehicle parking etc. BTW, better to call it as lanes which is universally used, rather than track.

    • @HoneyBadger__
      @HoneyBadger__ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes.track is something which has a private drivable circuit. He should have mentioned it as lane. Also in india we don't have separate 2 wheeler lane in highways. We share 2 wheelers with all slow moving vehicles in the left lane and the right lane is a speed lane respectively. I hope birla sir will correct this in future.

    Below are few steps to have safe driving 1. Most of the drivers doesn't use indicator while changing lane causing accidents as the red car driver doing in this video. 2. Bikers are using all lanes which is creating havoc. 3. Trucks are using both the lanes. 4 Speed cameras should be installed in highways and fine should be levied for rash driving which reduces many accidents in Indian roads. But our Govt is busy in collecting Toll for every 50km rather than creating safety in Highways

    First time I differ from you. The right most lane is the fast lane used for cars, busses and fast moving vehicles. There are many sign boards you can see in highways mentioning this. The left lane is meant for slow moving vehicles and trucks. We'll if I had yo travel in my car at a slower speed for some reason, only then I should use the left lane.Travelling at 80 / 100 kmph on the left lane just like you've demoed is highly dangerous because of village junctions, cattles and dogs crossing in no time. Please share any official govt or RTO information if you have so that we can correct our driving as per your video. Else, if you find your video to be misleading, you may be giving wrong advice to all your viewers and can lead to havoc on road. Please clarify. Thanks

    Little surprised the information about lanes and especially with respect to two wheelers given by you is totally wrong. That is not the case at all. The third is called a shoulder or in our terms called a service/parking lane. It is definitely not advisable to ride your two wheelers in the shoulder. One can very well use the second lane to ride two wheelers. The solid white line in itself means that's the usable limit of the entire road in one direction and no driving beyond that line, but it's excused to park your car or bike for a rest or emergency purpose and that also advisable only if that shoulder width is wide enough and safe to park, not obstructing the neighbouring lane while parking.

      But almost in 2 lane highways that is better to use that huge space for riding bikes safely. Not all the bikers are long riders and many are equal or less than 100 cc. Almost they are maintained good. I personally choose to ride in that space comfortably than in the second lane. But have seen many two wheel riders hindering a lot shifting between lane 1 and lane 2 while driving a car. What he suggests is a better option for safe travel

    • @jeevanraj5305
      @jeevanraj5305 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. Some people still ride on Shoulder on their motorcycles and that is how accidents happens like bike hit a parked lorry etc.
      Shoulder is only for emergency parking. That's why it is divided with a continuous solid white line instead of sectioned line.
      If you have a low powered two wheeler and afraid of driving in main lane, you have to ride closer to shoulder lane and not on the shoulder lane itself.

    There is no clear track for 2-wheelers. At some places there are sands, at some places the path is very narrow. When a 2-wheeler moves at 80-100KMPH, that sand will create severe accident to them. So they could not use the track-3 continuously. According to me infrastructure for track-3 is very poor.

    After covid pandemic number of two wheelers and cars have increased a lot. It’s not possible to drive cars smoothly in the second lane as you mentioned. So many two wheelers are driving in second land and it’s almost impossible to drive cars without frequent breaking . I am still confused where should the two wheelers drive in highway .. 1st/fast lane is the best lane for cars based on my own observation..

    • @gopalakrishnanbalasubraman2463
      @gopalakrishnanbalasubraman2463 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes bro, You are right. But he is mentioning as a standard, if we use 1st lane only for overtaking, 2nd lane only for 4 wheelers and 3rd lane for 2 wheelers, the ride will be very smooth for all. And also 2 wheelers may also want to overtake. So in that case they will have to get into 2nd lane. Of course it is not possible in India sooner since we lack discipline sometimes and tend to mix-up frequently. 😊

    Sir I bought a new celerio, it's been only a month and first service is pending (770km). Is it safe for the engine driving at a speed 60 to 75 km/hr in highways

      Congratulations on a new vehicle
      Yes it's safe if you are driving between the speed limit of 80-90 since most of our highways are designed for this speed limit

    @Birlas Parvai. You always post good videos. But there is correction in this video about two wheeler lane, we should not drive our vehicle crossing the left continuous white line and it is highly dangerous to drive two wheelers across that lane. Please double check the fact before you posting. You have wide good audience, this might mislead them.
    Please address this issue by giving a statement in your upcoming video.

    ஏங்க நீங்களும் 2 வீலர் பாதைன்னு லெஃப்ட் சைடு வெள்ளை லைனைக் காண்பிக்கிறீங்க. அந்த லைனுக்கு அப்பறம் 3 வது ட்ராக் இருக்குதுன்னுவேற சொல்லுறீங்க. எனக்கு சிரிப்புதான் வருது.
    நீங்க அதுல பைக்ல போயிருக்கிறீங்களா? போகலன்னா போய்ப் பார்த்துத்துட்டு வந்து வீடியோ போடுங்க.
