I really enjoy that you explain which paints you use, which airbrush, how to position things properly, and the right way to prime. It's fantastic-many people don't talk about these details.
Now that I’ve seen the video, I must say I really enjoyed this! So beautiful! I loved this Matchbox as a child and I even had a couple other Matchbox versions: the Yesteryear version and the 1/32 model kit. I also remember the very much liking box art on the superfast model. Thanks for bringing back fond memories, Andrew!
WOW, really amazing job. I was thrilled when you added the spare tire, I too dislike cast spares, and your addition of a “real” spare, as well as the upgrades to the original wheels would have been enough to put this casting over the top. But then, the glass, the convertible top, and the lights and and plates, and the “normal” detailing. Magnificent! Great way to start my Sunday, thank you for posting this!
While I knew the CH was for Switzerland, I didn't know why. Thanks to the explanation in a prior comment, now I know. Jim Silva just posted a Lesney MB Removal Truck restoration that I watched just before yours. His more of a true restoration than yours, but I probably would have done even more customizing and detailing (if I had your skills) than even you did. I'm grateful for your solutions showing us possible options even if we wouldn't make the same choices. You show us potential or possibilities! I can be entertained and taught in a 13:21 session! God bless you and Petra and your Austrian Maple branches! Have fun with your toys!
Thanks, David. I always see changes I should have made, in retrospect. Side mirrors and dashboard instruments would have added to this one. Oh well. There's always the next one! 🍁☕️
Thanks, Charles. I actually printed a set of centre knock offs for this one, but they were SO SMALL I couldn't really use them. Shame. It would have added to the realism. 🍁☕️
Hello Andrew what a great build love those type Europen cars and those tires and wheels combo was perfect you need to start saleing.those id just about say you could sale them about a fast as you could make them .and do the garage type stuff like tools boxes .it's a thought.hope ever one is doing great around your home Andrew be a looking out for next week's vid 😅
I am not sure Andrew but the front fenders looked like they were bent and touching the front tires. Although everything still looks fantastic. Thanks for the journey…
That's the first thing I thought of too, upon examining this one, Lindsay, and wondered how I'd straighten them out. But a quick look through the Google Images show that's how the fenders are cast. Matchbox got that right. I printed the same size wheels as the original (14 mm) and there is some tire rub in the front, but they're free and it rolls. 🍁☕️
Hey Andrew, Amazing job! I love all the new details and the folded roof was inspired! My only question is about the headlamps. Aren't they supposed to be on either side of the grille? Other than that, one of my faves!
Brilliant, Andrew........she needed what she got and she got what she needed. Beautiful looking little car! 👍🏻🇨🇦👏🏻🇬🇧👌🏻🇨🇭
Thanks, Jack. It absolutely needed the spoked wheels! 🍁☕️
Great info and great restoration.
A BEAUTY for sure .
WOW , better than new .
Mike 😊
Thanks so much, Mike! 🍁☕️

Thanks for the fine feedback. It helps me when I see others explain the little steps. 🍁☕️
Beautiful restoration. You knocked it out of the park.
Thank you very much, Alan! 🍁☕️
What an awesome restomod. The addition of the BBS’s and ragtop really make the build stand out 😎
Thanks, Armando. Usually just a few add ons can make a big difference! 🍁☕️
This is amazing. The ragtop is incredible. Beautiful build.
Thanks, Leo. Don't know why Matchbox didn't put one on there...! 🍁☕️
I Love The look With The BBS Wheels.Never Would Of Thought To Do That. You Hit That One Out Of The Park!
Thanks, brother. I appreciate the fine feedback. 🍁☕️
Beautiful work, as a British car fan I love seeing these getting a new look. Wheels look great on this

Thanks so much, my man. Lots of extras went in to this makeover. Each one makes a difference. 🍁☕️
That is a huge upgrad! Great job! I love it!!! CH 😉
Thanks, Yves. CH is a mystery to most, I think... 🍁☕️🇨🇭
this casting really lives up with some details added. :) and BBS spoke wheels are like jeans: they are good for everyone. ;)
Thanks, Lothar. I was happy that the 3D printer did such fine detail on the wheels. The Jaguar definitely needed them! 🍁☕️
Very nice work on this restomod! Thanks Andrew, you did justice for this one!😊
Thank you kindly! The few extra touches gave it much more accuracy. 🍁☕️
A fabulous resto, love the color and the wheels really set it off.

Ding, ding. Score! 🍁☕️
Excellent resto-mod on a beautiful casting Andrew! The added extras really make it pop!

Thanks, Jeff. I was happy that the 3D printer could capture those details! This style of classic really needs them. 🍁☕️
That looks great, Andrew! Love the wheels and the details you put into this build.
Thanks. True words. Side mirrors. Dashboard instruments. Stick shifts. There's always room for more details! 🍁☕️

Awesome Andrew! 👊❤
Thanks, Rico. Glad you enjoyed it! 🍁☕️
Nicely executed Andrew, cheers Michael
Thanks, Michael! I appreciate the fine feedback. 🍁☕️
Very very nicely done, Andrew! I love the 3D printed wheel choice. Wire spoked wheels are a must! My ‘65 had them with a center knock off
Thanks, Charles. I actually printed a set of centre knock offs for this one, but they were SO SMALL I couldn't really use them. Shame. It would have added to the realism. 🍁☕️
This looks fantastic! Great job!
Thanks! I'm pleased with it. Lots of little details helped on this one. 🍁☕️
Great job Andrew 👍🏻
Thanks for watching, Mark. 🍁☕️

CH was Switzerland right ? This is a wow build !
Yes, CH is Switzerland! Thanks for watching, Lars. 🍁☕️
Hey Andrew, Amazing job! I love all the new details and the folded roof was inspired! My only question is about the headlamps. Aren't they supposed to be on either side of the grille? Other than that, one of my faves!
Thanks, Jordan. Yup, they could have been spaced a bit further apart, but the support arms and fender flares dictated this size. 🍁☕️
CH is Confoederatio Helvetica, the Latin name for Switzerland
10 pts!🇨🇭 Thanks for watching. 🍁☕️
Just wanted to say hi. Have an email with more details in it hopefully you’re well.
