Frozen, one of the most beautiful songs ever, very few singers are able to reach that level of songs, Madonna really is the Queen of Pop.
Song is fabulous, on many levels, a little dark and cold for me. Personally, I think power of goodbye is too good and defy the laws of physics. The album ray of light deserves all of the five Grammys at earned

I was in high school when this video was premièred on TV the next day at school it was all anyone was talking about. People just don't realise how mind blowing this was at the time. The change in direction, the artistry was 💯

@@maticbukovac6966 She was following Björk and European EDM influence, getting more moody but still keeping it pop, something Björk dgaf abt. Without this song EDM wouldn't have become what it became. But if we're talking about albums that changed the music direction of the decade Björk did that with Debut, Post and Homogenic. This is Madonna following Björk but because it was pop it was considered groundbreaking. Madonna is first and foremost a great marketer.
@@thornyback you sound like a spokesperson for Bjork. She is a phenomenal artist one of my favorite, and vespertine is one of my all-time favorite albums. She also wrote Bedtime Stories the song, for Madonna. However I think that's where the connection ends.

This is the greatest Madonna song ever produced and this was 25 years old this week. Pat Leonard is a GENIUS, he worked with Madonna with LIVE TO TELL. Chris Cunningham is also worthy of the world's adulation for this masterpiece of a video. Definitely on the Top 5 best Madonna video.

She is truly a one-of-a-kind Artist. I love listening to her speak. She is just so intelligent and you can really tell how much energy she puts into her art. I respect her attention to detail too! Like this woman is the definition of a perfectionist. I had the PLEASURE of meeting her after her NYC show she did a few years ago and I cannot explain the feeling I had being in her presence. She exudes confidence and just commands the room, etc. Madonna is truly a LEGEND and she’s empowered me so much. I’m also a Leo and a femme Pop Artist and Madonna has impacted and inspired me so, so much. This song is a masterpiece and this visual too! Love you M💖

Madonna is a unique and incomparable artist. Only ignorant people who don't know her work criticize her. She is a wonderful and very dedicated professional, which is why she became the great queen of pop music.
I grew up with her, and I am certainly not ignorant Metallica be preferably off the wall. She sheltered her daughter from certain things growing up now look at the girl. I have nothing against Madonna. I was always like her as an artist but let’s be for real now why don’t you stop calling people ignorant maybe someone has a different opinion and yours have a nice day.

We all lived in London England when this came out.We were dancing at a club called Heaven high on MDMA and Madonna was dancing in the other room!!!everyone went crazy but we were like cool and went on dancing.what a place to live when this masterpiece was first released.i heard that Madonna owned part of the nightclub heaven but that could just be scenester gossip.
Madonna should have released the song a bit later than titanic theme song. In fact frozen was stuck behind that song and could not get the deserved recognition. Its a marvelous song.

She WAS very pretty! Also, I love Frozen. Like most, if not all, of her ballads, the lyrics are pretty serious/profound and the musicality is topnotch. Let's be honest - Madonna is really and truly one of the very few artists whose versatility is unparalleled. A lot of musicians would definitely admit to having been influenced in one way or another by her style/craft most especially the music she released from the start of her career in the 80s up until early 2000s. Early 2000s one could already see the changes but after that period, it was just so obvious that she eventually succumbed to compromising with the current music styles - I don't blame her. In the music industry, if you aim to keep making money, you have to be current and try to cater to the younger generations (especially if you don't have another profession or business to fall back onto). But the sad reality: gone are those days when her song lyrics were that profound to undoubtedly pierce the hearts of not just a few but multitudes! True, she is still raking in money/millions but the quality of her music nowadays is no way near the quality of her top hits! I don't blame other people when they call her current music trashy.
Regarding her current looks, I personally think she would have been much more beautiful if she allowed herself to just age gracefully - I would have loved her to have her original/natural face when she was just starting but of course with a few wrinkles here and there due to her current age - with the stardom and success she has achieved, having a few wrinkles would have been forgivable in Hollywood. Of course she wouldn't look her age knowing the healthy lifestyle she maintains. The way she looks now, well, she looks very much younger for her age but I should add... very different. Not Madonna anymore.
Also, if put in her shoes, I myself would have retired while still ahead of the game. Everyone significant in the entire music industry would agree anyway that she is the one and only Queen of Pop! Look at Pink recently admitting that she still loves Madonna no matter if the feeling is not mutual! That says a lot coming from another huge name in the music community.
Having said all those, I admit that everybody should just live, let live and let Madonna do what she wants to do for the rest of her music career/life. She's is technically a genius (look up about her IQ) so she must have planned her career moves well. Who knows, maybe she plans to still be performing when she's 90 or older? She would probably be a record holder when she gets to do that - NOT BAD especially when you're already the irreplaceable "Queen of Pop"!

Wow! A walk down memory lane. I remember this being a big deal because it seemed like a switch in Madonna's sound also her dark hair was a big deal since it was different from her usual blonde.
She was definitely in another state of mind at this time in her life. You can hear it from that record and it was such an experience to be able to be witnessed it from that era. It becomes very rare that singers take a record on this level and make a way to explore deeply and find some time to reflect it musically by taking some risk and certainly by putting themselves in danger to renew themselves with what they used to do and make a transformation about it. That Madonna from this past is still here today. She just seems a little bit lost and has forgotten how powerful and avant garde she was. At least she is still able to have fun..I think.
