Lovely looking hot hatch. They have done a good job with the Cupra branding and styling. The bronze accents really set it off.

Have been driving ST from january. Exellent fuel ecomony even with zero charge. Now driven 5000km with only half tank of fuel since easter. Controls work also in cold conditions under -30C. And car is warm in arctic climate. Can run on battery 30km even under -20C. Just love this ride.

Hi Anna! Thanks for another great video. It was the first time I saw a video about Cupra and it is as I said that I support you, I see all your videos. You who drive so many different cars, I marvel at these new cars in the car shops that are there to be tested and shown, are it the sellers who equip the cars and choose the color of the interior? Anna, you really crack me up! "only 1%, where did it all go wrong?".. overall pretty good hatchback considering the price. Great cinematography.. the birdseye view. I'm sure we probably won't see those cars in the states. The only thing I noticed is the dark interior colour. I'm sure that would get hot in the summer. All the best..Ciao!

Brilliant review Anna. I do like the looks of Cupra Leon and it sounds awesome even though it comes out of the speakers. The question is if an electric car had a combustion engine noise coming through the speaker would you love it or not? really surprise of MPG that it does and BHP that its got in the 1.4L engine alone and the added power of the hybrid is just wow. They definitely do the hybrid right. just brilliant. I don't know why they are doing sliders to control the volume and heating, I think I would be a master of disaster with it and might be in an accident at the same time. awesome review/video. Well…not many viewers will have tiny nuggets with you driving Anna…..after a while they will get much larger! The SEAT interiors are always a bit harsh and made to a price but you brighten them greatly. Well done again!!😀😀😀😀😀

Thank you very much :-) I am yet to receive a confirmation on this. I hear from different reports that it doesn't make a difference and that the battery is there to provide the range only.

Great to see Anna anytime but on a wet Sunday, even more enjoyable. Missed opportunity for a blonde joke re the overnight charge, or lack of! 1.4 petrol with a launch time that a performance car from 10 years ago would have been considered quick, now the norm. Nifty little VW Golf worrier.
Great review Anna, keep up the reviews!! I drove a ehybrid Golf 8 and found the 1.4 tsi engine horribly droning at 70mph on motorway in hybrid mode. Not sure this was the same?!
Thank you very much Kieran. Unfortunately yes, best to drive pure TSI engine mode when on motorways :-) hybrid mode doesn't really benefit you at those speeds, only slower speeds in town etc.

Nice one Anna. How long before VAG is going to respond to the crescendo of criticism from testers about their sliders for temperature and volume? Probably designed by non-drivers! Audi has already returned to buttons I see.

The petrol cupra would be a cool thing to have ,but these kind of cars are a bit too small for us market

Yet, Cupra has decent interiors with a comfortable and racing driving position to many people. All of that are on the final bill.

The electric motor is constantly active even though the battery is empty. So no you didn't only have 150hp, you had 245. Awesome review anyway ;)

What is the 0 to 60 when the battery is flat and it is only on petrol power?
so running like that guys does it not eat the fuel and get 20ish mpg? I'm waiting for mine so can't determine at this pont

Would be better if the electric motor propel rear wheels and petrol - front wheels, the grip would be much better and 0-62mph quicker :)

Apparently Cupra is going to try and sell a couple of models into Australia in 2022...wonder if they will go the way of other niche car coys and disappear soon after...

Hybrids on sale in the UK till 2035. Agreed it's absolutely insane as the UK is 1 percent of worldwide emissions it's like the politicians are utterly useless.

Not sure about the car, the fake sounds are a joke and slider controls for center stack not good. The driver however, she looks really good, beautiful legs.
Nice car...so I looked it up and the website gives you the hard sales pitch before letting you near the configure to find out the price. Cupra wants you to pay BMW 3 Series money for a tarted up Seat...they fall and bump their head?
There's no way that does 0-62 in 6.4 seconds running the 150bhp engine alone - especially as this weighs in excess of 100kg more than the comparable 150bhp non-hybrid Seat Leon that claims (though I appreciate usually conservatively) a 0-62 of 8.5 seconds. It must have been utilising the combined 245hp
The car never lets the battery drop below 20%... so when it reaches zero electric autonomy... it still has 20%
Car will still utilise electric motor for initial torque and power even without charge but won’t let you drive exclusively on electric
