"Apply with instinct" - wonderful advice ^_^

Thanks. I hope it’s good advice haha. What might seem instinctive to some might need instruction for others. A lot of model making and detailing is instinctive, I think. You know when it feels right or 'off'.

@@ojsmodels2368 I think it is good advice! Coming from an arts background, it is something I do naturally, but I find a lot of people just getting into artistic pursuits *think too much* when they're painting natural-looking stuff, so it doesn't look natural. Absolutely, it is so instinctive, same with painting/sculpting and other art mediums too :)

Just gets better and better …….. although would like you to go back to stage one and give some more detail on how you cut & shape the individual stones

Thanks Gordon. I planned on making more in depth videos that offer a greater explanation. The first videos were me testing the water. If the demand is there I can invest more time in this channel.

Thanks Oliver, have done various SBS before and know how long they took to do …. So have some appreciation of the time element for you

I think the demand is certainly there. I can do okay painting, but its the initial steps I like many others would probably need more in-depth on. Can't wait to see more.

I would like to try and create D&D terrain in a more realistic fashion using your techniques. What kind of stonework type and paint scheme do you think would be most ubiquitous and hence should be my main choice for walls/floors/houses?

Beautiful, the subtle combination of the various colours and layers of weathering is so realistic. It's interesting that it does not really need a dark wash to make the stones pop, you achieve this just by adding lighter and lighter tones (on the previous video and on this one). Thanks again!

Glad you found it interesting. The process just grew from experimenting. I do use washes with other methods. You’re welcome, and thanks!

He said to use 1 part glue (PVA) and 3 parts water, but some people also but Isopropanol in it too (like 10%) to help the mixture flow into more cracks and crevices.
