So glad you could be there for your mom. I admire your strength in dealing with the passing of your friend as well the all the challenges in this trying time. Add to that the loss of your dream of returning to the cabin your dad built. Stay well, stay strong!
I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend Susan. May her memory be a blessing to you. Wishing you and your mother all the best as future plans are worked out. You have such a warm, positive personality. I know you’ll do fine no matter the outcome. God bless!
Thank you. They have a strong faith to help them through this. Her husband was a pastor for 30 years. He stayed in the house and survived, but she tried to get to safety. The mudslide moved their house off its foundation.
I am sorry that you lost your friend, Doreen, and yes, you will meet again. The tribute at the end of your video was beautiful. I continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. ❤
Doreen, sorry for the loss of your friend. Yes, it sounds like too much is up in the air right now to make decisions on the cabin. I pray your mom is able to settle. She is lucky she has the house in case she needs to sell it. Caregiving is hard on us so make sure to take care of yourself sweetheart!! Hugs from NE Ohio.
Good morning Doreen, you have no idea how happy I am to see this video! Truely, I have been very worried about you and was hoping I would see something sooner than later. It's a relief to know u (and your family) are safe. I can only imagine what y'all have been through! And I'm so, so sorry for all of the loss & am praying for the family of your friend 🙏. Please, be safe and know so many are out here, if not hands-on, in thoughts, prayers, & love! LUCRETIA 🎉 🫶🙏 P S. Your stitch work is beautiful!
Thanks Lucretia. I really appreciate the prayers. We'll be at my mom's house this weekend, doing some tree clean up, fixing the washed out driveway, and working on the cabin. Still waiting for the water to be restored, so Mom is still staying with me.
I truly am so Happy you and your family are all safe. I really was worried about you and I was so happy when I saw that video. I'm hoping sometime maybe we can get together and have a chat. Just please take care of yourselves and I will be praying for everyone. LUCRETIA 🙏 ❤🙏@@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts
Hi Doreen…sorry to hear about your friend. I am glad you, your mom, and family are okay. I was fortunate in my area of Waynesville but other areas not so good. Thanks for sharing your Jingle Bells finish. I had ordered this prior to Helene and made my day when it arrived. You have inspired me to stitch this next. Ironically, I started Thankful Tiny Town a few weeks ago and finished it yesterday. Take care!
That was a awful hurricane and it carried so far in . I am deeply sorry about your friend . I hope you are buying this place or better yet inherited . ❤
Keeping you, your mom, and family in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friend. Beautiful tribute to her in your closing. Continued prayers for all affected by Helene. Take care of yourself and know that All is in God's hands. 🙏🏼🤲🏼
Doreen so sorry for the loss of your friend. Thanking for taking the time under your circumstances to let us know how you are. Take care, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.🙏❤️
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I am glad that you and your family are okay and safe. I can't believe the devastation in NC. I only lost power for a few hours and my boys didn't have school for a few days, so I consider us very lucky. I'm praying for all the people affected and trying to donate what I can to help. 🙏❤
Doreen I am very sorry for the loss of your friend. Very nice tribute that you played on your flosstube with her applique. I hope all goes well with your Mom and she's soon settled into her new norm. My heart goes out to you and your family and all the people that were in the path of Helene.
Doreen, my heart hurts so much for you. I am so sorry you lost your friend. I am so Glad you and your mom and family are safe. I hope that you get to move in that little cabin. I love you friend. May the sweet memories help carry you through this time. ❤
Doreen, I'm so sorry about Susan getting caught up in the mud slide. No one could prepare for the devastation that occurred. I've been a member in a Blue ridge Facebook group since we became interested in moving to the area and the last I saw, there are roughly 200 people still unaccounted for. The videos of people trying to rescue others brings me to tears for everyone, the rescued, the rescuers, the lost, and family and friends mourning and grieving all that's been lost. I'm praying for all of you and ask God's blessings on people that dropped everything in their lives to assist complete strangers. I've mentioned to you that Erwin was such a warm welcoming place when visited and was one we really focused on moving to. A mom and her teenage son invited us to sit at a park in town with them while the "parade of vehicles" for a football game was driving through. I don't remember their names, but I've prayed they've been safe through all of this, too. God bless you, friend, and may He lead you to directions to move to the cabin or not. ❤ As much as we've hated living where we are, I do feel God saying no to the move up north was His way of protecting us. My husband works away from home several months at a time. He wasnt home when Helene brutalized the SE.
Wishing you the best and that all will work out for you. It’s so wonderful to hear of all the help coming from all over. Take care, I guess I have no other words. ❤
