RDR2 hands down, Physics, Aminations, open world interaction and reaction and having an impact on Arthurs Chracter development makes the story more impactful.
For me personally, i enjoyed cyberpunk a lot more. i do like Red Dead 2, but i enjoy the fast past action and the combat a lot more in cyberpunk. The mantis blades are incredible, and i feel like a super villain 😅😂
RDR2 was such a well polished game that did had such fantastic world building and fine details, and that's what I think makes it great. The story, when broken down to bare bones, is relatively basic and cliché. Man loses himself chasing his dream, trampling everyone he cared about. But it's the small moments (such as the ones you mentioned) that pull you into the story and make you invested. There's so many resulting mini sub plots that come with the overall plot, and focusing on those adds so much to the main plot of the game. Even doing side quests and getting money makes you feel like you're contributing to the fund, giving main story purpose to side story quests. On the other hand, Cyberpunk has a much more creative world to build compared to RDR2. Having history as a basis to create your world is much easier than doing it from (more-or-less) scratch, and that deserves respect with how well they pulled that off. 2077 I would also argue has a more creative main plot to develop, but it has fewer side plots that add to the main plot. I found they pull you away from the main plot, and instead help with the world building of 2077 Night City. You're on death's door from the start of the game and time is running out, but let's go do these many side quests while we wait. It really comes down to slow burn vs fast burn plots. Fast burn tends to rely on the understanding that the player needs to ignore the main character's mindset in order to experience the majority of the game, while the slow burn let's you explore and experience the game without removing yourself from the mindset of the character you're playing. Both games are amazing, but the plot in RDR2 is better developed to co-incide with the player's curiosity and the main character's goals
people don't really talk about cyberpunk 2077 at all. Both game have potential flaws in them, but people overly hype rdr2 and I feel if they really form individual opinions of their own and sometimes I feel if they actually played the game at all. I like both of them, but as you said plot wise, rdr2's plot is amazing because they emphasized on the motivations of each character and also the voice acting was amazing! I think cyberpunk falls back a little. Other than that, I agree with whatever you said!!
hey i just found this channel and wanted to say thank you for so beautifully articulating everything i think about these two games. rdr2 and cyberpunk are my two favorite games of all time. i have sobbed playing both when i don’t usually cry because of games or anything for that matter. the stories are both incredible in their own right and contain some of my favorite characters in fiction, period. all the few videos i’ve seen on this channel have been awesome and i really appreciate your takes (at least from what i’ve seen). you’ve gained a sub!
Thank you Kiwi that means the world to me. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I share your sentiment on both games. I’m also glad you’ve enjoyed other videos enough to sub! What would you say is better tho? Cyberpunk or Red dead 2
@@ThePxpe i’ve done multiple play throughs of both and ima have to agree with you and say red dead but that’s only if i really have to choose one. otherwise they’re tied lmao
@@kaamiKunn Yea, on a comparison video that is probably watched by people who did not play the game yet, this is fucked up. And he probably knew it too. The game is still an absolute masterpiece, I was spoiled too and still enjoyed it to the fullest.
So unfortunately, the ending of red dead two has to happen because that is actually the prequel to red dead one so technically since you beat red dead to red dead one will make more sense now
Man I’ve just come to say rdr2 really did ruin other games for me.. I tried cyberpunk and just now quit playing again for like the 5th time. I cannot for the life of me get into it. I just want to play another game with a. Story that’s on the same level or even better than rdr2
rdr2 was a gold star for sure, cyber punk i try to enjoy but i´s like a bad lsd tripp it´s so slow in every thing it´s good looking game but that how far i go to many endings timeline impact the game huge it´s like they made it so people are forced to replay it dlc was junk to i do really hope gt6 is gonan be good but i have fealing it´s gonna be shit
