Dog groomer here: bathe your dogs as often or as little as they need. Like your dog, many dogs have skin conditions and need frequent bathing and treatments for their skin. Other dogs can sometime develop skin or hair conditions from being bathed too often. Not every dog is the same. Do as much research as you can to care for your dog the way your dog specifically needs to be cared for. Some needed medicated shampoo, some needed to soak in conditioner. It’s for sure like you said and bullies always have skin issues and allergies :(
My pittie has really thin hair and gets rashes super easy, we need to bathe her every couple of weeks to make sure the rashes dont show up but we can't use normal dog shampoo because it makes her hair fall out, so far we've been using one for humans thats for extra sensitive skin and hair, it is working but if there's a dog specific one that you know of I'd love to know
people don't realize that bathing needs differ so much depending on breed and environmental and biological factors. I'm so glad you're taking such good care of him!!
Definitely! It works like that with all animals. Like, most people who own hedgehogs say they never bathe their hedgehogs because it “makes their skin dry and flakey” but I had a hedgehog and we bathed her once a week and she was the healthiest little old lady ever. She was about 4, and was only ever really happy in the bath tho.

i have no clue where they get 6 months for all dogs from. skin conditions, longer/thicker fur, and even just plain dirt changes how often you’d bathe your dog
if you are giving your dog regular outside time, there is NO reason they should only be getting bathed every 6 months. Fur picks up dirt from outside. If your dog is going outside every day (multiple times a day), they will be filthy in under a month. It just sounds like a lot of lazy people.
Typical or not dogs should be bathed and groomed every 4-8 weeks. Some dogs are just gross and like to roll in mud, truly depends on the dog themselves and how dirty they get, what if you didnt wash your hair or cut your nails for 6 months youd feel pretty gross

Of course, there are going to be outliers like this case where her dog was having some sort of allergic reaction on his skin where this routine she has is necessary and obviously working.
This is the way pets should be cared for. This woman is a saint. I try to care for my pit bull with the same enthusiasm. He's the luckiest dog on Earth.
My vet told me to wash my dog once a week because he was allergic to grass and so using his medicated shampoo weekly was a must. Many Pitt bulls are actually allergic to grass and certain weeds leading to this problem. I also had to give him a weekly allergy shot too.
My Aussie is also allergic to grass, and tree pollen so I have to bathe him every 14 days as well. His coat is beautiful! I think the timeline rule for bathing depends on the dog.
Yeah but they were also thinking about the dogs health. Like how you have empathy for the dogs skin condition the commenters didn’t want her ruining her dogs skin without realizing it
I’m a dog groomer, and I love seeing your videos pop up on my feed! You take such good care of that boy. The people in your comments telling you you’re doing too much are for sure the same people who bring me their crusty white dogs once every six months with poop and eye boogers everywhere, complaining about how much they have to “pamper their babies”. He looks to be in phenomenal shape thanks to your care and diligence, and grooming creates such a bond! Keep doing what you’re doing, and hope you have a very merry Christmas!
Haha! Pampering their babies! I was on vacation in St. Thomas and this woman I was staying with left her dog chained up on the concrete, out in the hot sun all day with minimal water. Poor girl had patches on her elbows from lying down on the rough concrete and the owner had the nerve to say she was spoiled. 😢 Some people don't deserve their pets.
He looks like he knows he's taken care of, and because of that he knows to be still and just let you do what you do! What you do for him is definitely love and compassion at its finest!
Hes literally glowing, hes thriving! Hes well behaved, and clearly well loved! I love just seeing good wholesome content of people going the extra mile to give their pets the best quality of life 💕

My American Staffordshire is a grey color. He has allergies. He goes into the vet this coming Monday to get meds for his rash around his groin area and red eyes. Right now I'm just giving him Benadryl.
And your dog absolutely loves all that special attention, care and love that you are giving him. He wouldn't be seen dead at a groomer now that his mother gives him all that TLC!❤
Once EVERY SIX MONTHS!!?? I've never heard that and I worked at a doggie daycare/boarding/grooming place for well over 3 years. You keep talking fantastic care of that adorable lil squish, you're doing a damn fine job and he looks very happy 💓
I was thinking the same thing! I've never heard 6 months before. My vet recommended baths more often and so has any groomer I've spoken to ... 6 months is crazy
His Look tells it all....he knows he feels much better since you been doing this routine... thats why he gives you the most adorable, loving & grateful look! Great job! 💯💯💯❤️
You keep his skin moisturized so he can take baths without worrying his skin will dry out. He is very beautiful and sweet. I love seeing him and seeing the way you take care of him.
You’re doing what works for your dog. He’s clearly is very good condition and super healthy. 👏🏻👏🏻 My dog used to get groomed once a month. She had itchy, flaky skin and she smelled bad. Now, I only bathe her once every six months and her symptoms have all cleared up. It’s just that we’ve got to do what’s right for our babies.
This is SO encouraging. My fur nephew has been experiencing those same symptoms that your baby used to have. The vet says in a nutshell that Kobe is allegic to being outdoors. They give him allergy shots that are supposed to last 3 months, but they never do. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see him with those bumps and scratching himself raw. He's miserable. Funny enough, I sent my sister one of your bath videos last week saying how beautiful your baby's coat is. We're definitely going to look into the products you use. Thank you for the information.
This made me think of my old dog Yoyo who we treated badly when compare to TikTok dogs. Towards the end of his life I gave him frequent showers and spoiled him and I can never forget how long he lived without this type of treatment. The dogs we have today my parents spoil their behind to the brim. It makes me happy but I get sad when I think about my yoyo. I’m very happy to see you treat your dog right
I wash my dog once a week. He’s long haired. There’s no way I could go 6 months without washing him. I personally dont take my dog to the vet because it’s costly and I’ve learned that they treat dogs just like us humans with lackadaisical care. They just throw medication and be done with it. My Yorkie is healthy and happy. Thank you for shedding light on what you do and how you do it. This has inspired me to make bath time more luxurious for my baby.
Once every six months is riddiculous, at least once a month, good heavens, theese people have their dogs reeking the whole goddam year basically, they're bathing their dogs once a year almost, thats disgusting & stpd
My vet told me to bathe my pit bull once a week and rub her with coconut oil. She also has a bumps under her skin itchy all the time. And and also take Apoquel once a day.
@@Rosemary46840 I don't think she overbathes, look at the dog's coat, it is pristine. if she was over bathing the dog, the coat would be dull and overall, would look bad. Look at how he is looking at her, with so much love, for all those people wondering how his coat so beautiful, now you know quit being haters, this dog is happy and well care for , it is bad that people want to tell this woman what to do for her dog, you all should be praising her finding what work for this type of dog, look at that dog , he is so love, now if you feel you can do better , than go get your self a dog an post, and stop so we can keep enjoying this dog in peace, and keep having our cute dog moments when she post.❤

This little back story shows why he is such a good boy! He knows you are helping and taking care of him and you can see it whenever you pamper him.
@teniolajaiyesimi8376 Why is that surprising?
😮 that's ironic
Not really, due to pesticides and artificial grass everywhere that makes sense actually
My stepdad pitbull deals with allergies too, i remember hearing him sneeze often
My Aussie is also allergic to grass, and tree pollen so I have to bathe him every 14 days as well. His coat is beautiful! I think the timeline rule for bathing depends on the dog.
People love to forget that some dogs also enjoy water and quality time with their person. He seems to be loving the experience
Yeah but they were also thinking about the dogs health. Like how you have empathy for the dogs skin condition the commenters didn’t want her ruining her dogs skin without realizing it
He’s so well behaved when you bathe him too. Probably feels good for him as well.
You’re an EXCELLENT dog owner
A dog groomer😨?
@@Ieyyskyeykryidyi122Whats wrong with it?
@@Tsuki_kik0_I don’t think they understand the terminology, don’t think they meant anything negative by it.
@@Ieyyskyeykryidyi122a dog groomer is a profession, a person who grooms dogs (bathes them, brushes them, dematts them, trims their nails etc)

You take such GOOD care of Reign! If I didn’t know any better (and I don’t) I would never had known he had any type of skin condition! He is blessed to have YOU in his life and I know you feel the same about Reign. The look of relief he has on his face when you pamper this cutie is PRICELESS and it absolutely shows!!! WELL DONE, REIGN’S Mommy!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

He knows she loves him
He’s gorgeous! His coat is so shiny and he obviously is loving the attention!
I love his facial expressions as you're bathing, rubbing in the products and toweling him! He's really enjoying it!
Right?! He just looks up at her with nothing but love in his eyes. If reincarnation is a real I want to come back as one of her dogs.
especially the nose part 🤣
Seeing other people take good care of their animals makes my heart so happy
He has the shiniest coat I have ever seen on a dog. You’ve taken your dogs wellness as priority instead of listening to people who don’t know or own your dog. Means your a great owner the routines you do works,
Your dog is beautiful and extremely well cared for and loved 🤍
Probably was an allergy and you washing off the allergens instead of them staying on him and irritating him. Such a sweet baby. Glad you were able to help him.
It’s so funny how people want to give advice on situations they know nothing about! You’re such a good dog parent 🥺
Lucky boy! His mommy loves him enough to find what works to keep him as comfy as can be! He is a beautiful boy!!
He’s absolutely ADORABLE! You’re a wonderful dog mom!!! Thank you for being so good to him. 😊
The amount of love in his eyes while looking at you as you're towel drying him is adorable! He's so cute and looks very similar to my dog! ❤
Man, if I saw that's your routine without knowing anything about your dog, I would still stfu. That's one well cared for dog.
His coat is absolutely beautiful. He is a pampered puppy. You are an awesome pet mom!
His coat and skin look super healthy and moisturized. I don't recall ever saying that about a dog before.
And he looks very calm and relaxed and happy.
Bro is better taken care of than some actual children, goddamn.
Yeah she would be a great momma
And her puppers loves her for it.

I work in a vet office - grey pitties in particular have the most skin issues. You have a wonderful maintenance routine with his washes and food! Treating both the inside and outside ❤
I swear I was wondering if it was a thing once i saw this video because My Blue nose had very sensitive skin as well and was prone to rashes. He was white and Grey so they were a little more visible.🥲 Your comment definitely answered my curiosity 😊
My American Staffordshire is a grey color. He has allergies. He goes into the vet this coming Monday to get meds for his rash around his groin area and red eyes. Right now I'm just giving him Benadryl.
Yep I got a lab/pit mix who's allergic to grass. During his allergy flare ups we have to wash him like 1-2 times a week!
Gurllllll I used to bathe my baby every two weeks too!!!!! You are the best mommy for those cuties!!!
He is GORGEOUS. It's obvious he loves his bath time. Beautiful job, Mom❤❤❤❤
You do not have to explain why and how you take great care of your dog. He looks happy and he enjoys what you do..
His eyes when that coconut oil came out. So adorable
His eyes when she put it on his nose 😂 what are you doing to my nose lol
It's the healthiest dog fur I've ever seen. Continue doing what you are doing.
He looks like he enjoys his spa days!! He beautiful 😍
My vets have always said once a month. Which is already tough! Dogs get stinky.
It’s not it’s don’t bathe more than once a week
me either
His coat is gorgeous. Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing it right. You know your dog best.
The loving way he looked up at you, almost as if he was thank you was so precious.
She was a life skin saver!!
His Look tells it all....he knows he feels much better since you been doing this routine... thats why he gives you the most adorable, loving & grateful look! Great job! 💯💯💯❤️
What I love about this is that the dog looks like he is so grateful and is also enjoying himself
He looks very calm, healthy and happy, great job.
He’s so well taken care of. You can see the love he has for you just by the way he looks at you 🥹
You keep his skin moisturized so he can take baths without worrying his skin will dry out. He is very beautiful and sweet. I love seeing him and seeing the way you take care of him.
Dog looks beautiful and healthy. He looks at you with so much love.
That dog has the sweetest eyes
It makes me happy to hear this. You are such a sweet and loving furmom 🥹
Fur nephew! 😂 I love that ❤

The love in his eyes 🥰 what a sweetie you're such a good mama
He clearly loves the treatment you’re giving him. And his coat looks AMAZING! Keep doing what’s best for your dog as it’s a case by case basis.
Awwww. That pupper is lucky to have you. Dogs are a lot of work!
My mans getting well taken care of such a good doggy ❤️
The way your pup looks at you says it all! He luvs his mama!
I’ve even heard from vets that it’s every 2 weeks, plus she’s adding moisture. This is an awesome video! Thank you 🙏🏽 so much for sharing.
I concur!!!🙏🏾❤
Not adding moisture but locking it in. Only water can moisturize.
Once every six months is riddiculous, at least once a month, good heavens, theese people have their dogs reeking the whole goddam year basically, they're bathing their dogs once a year almost, thats disgusting & stpd
Why tf do people have to complain? This woman is taking awesome care of her dog.
Yes! Pitbulls/Staffordshire Terriers are prone to having sensitive skin & allergies. You are doing an excellent job.
Omg he is beautiful!!!! The way he looks up at you just melts my heart 🥰. You can tell he does not mind the baths at all!
He's so adorable. He knows how loved he is. ❤

A bath every two weeks is completely reasonable. You are a very caring pet owner 💕
Once a week! Active then twice! You’re doing a beautiful job
Right, my baby sleeps in the bed with me . He's a house dog but we can't be stinky😊😂
My vet told me to bathe my pit bull once a week and rub her with coconut oil. She also has a bumps under her skin itchy all the time.
And and also take Apoquel once a day.
His coat looks so good and shiny! I think you’re doing a fantastic job if his coat looks that good. 👏🏻😊

@@Rosemary46840 I don't think she overbathes, look at the dog's coat, it is pristine.
if she was over bathing the dog, the coat would be dull and overall, would look bad.
Also, not bathing a dog will also cause horrible skin issues, telling from experience since I had one dog that I left with my family for two months and they never bathed her or brushed her, I had to take her to the vet because her skin was turning orange and she had like breakouts, it turns out it was because she was not being bathed as much as she needed
