    Sup guys! We get more work done on Chris's 1988 CRX Si. If you want to skip ahead to the exhaust install part, go to the 15:23 mark. Either way, enjoy and let me know what you guys think of the overall progression on his CRX. You can also watch the other 3 previous videos by skipping to the last 10 seconds of this video, all 3 links are provided and clickable on screen! Thanks peeps!!

      @@ninjafit3275 why so angry? He clearly stated it was for track use and if it gets damaged it won't cost too much to replace. Sometimes people have priorities and a family to provide for and spending thousands on a exhaust system is not #1 on the list.

    For those hating on the exhaust, for $92 ship, i don't think you can beat it. sure an $$$ sounds a lot better, but he could buy another muffler and/or resonator and weld it on for less money than a quality exhaust and make it sound better. I'm a fan though, I may have to look at a similar option for my 89 Civic Si once I get it running again

    @ 19:02 - You mentioned that the timing was off by a tooth so you had to forward the cam by one tooth. Question, when you forward the cam by one tooth, did the two lines on the cam sprocket still aligned with the head?

  • @thehaloguy9381

    the D16A6 uses the timing mark on the cam gear that's at 7 O'clock. it lines up with a mark on the plastic backer behind the cam gear. not the two side to side marks. im not sure if any other D's use this mark but the A6's do

      lol outsiders again with the brand name ish.....stop it most brand name parts cost hundreds and give you nothing much actually a home made setup from a local shop would cost less and give the same out come or better if you over time developed a mix of parts to give you the sound and performance you need

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be a handful of issues. What's the maintenance look like on the chassis itself? How was it running before in the previous vehicle. I ran my B20B with a PR4 for 2 years and no issues. Decent gas mileage even with my short geared trans and track days.

When the d15 was in there it was running pretty good besides the oil Burning and leaking out the head of the engine. After the swap i noticed it would smoke alot out of the exhaust when the dizzy was set in the middle lots of white somke appeared. Right now i have the dizzy set all the way forward.
