FIRST LOOK: Metalian Genie X camping trailer - a small 4x4 trailer with a lot of features.

- In this video we give you a first look at the #Metalian #Genie X off-road camping trailer. This is the first ever #GenieX produced by Metalian and we collected it and then drove straight to Botswana. First we do a walkaround of the #trailer itself and discuss the new features: larger water tank, 1000kg GVM, up to 33-inch wheels. Then we show you the tent Metalian makes for this trailer as well as our prototype en suite bathroom.
What's great about the Genie X, is that a relatively small trailer can expand out into such a large living and sleeping area. Of course this setup is particular to our needs - we often camp for long periods with no facilities at all. Other people may just want a light rooftop tent on the Genie X for sleeping, and none of the extras like gas stoves, solar systems, and water heaters.

Thanks Smet. Yeah it has everything we need for longer stays. And I think the matching wheels make it look really good when we are towing.
Those camping chairs look very comfy
They are! And they fold up very small. Not great for sitting at a table, but fantastic for relaxing around the campfire
Looks like a good set-up for long trips, although... Andy have fun on the ground n economy whilst Rob sleeps in the upper class section 😂😂

@@wesselbotha3928 I also really enjoyed the large enclosed living area. I've never had that before. Nice to be able to make coffee in the morning without keeping an eye out for wild animals and also great that we could set up the computer to copy media and not worry about wind/dust.

I had this type of tent on my Metallian Maxi trailer. It takes way too much time to setup and is not very practical making it the weakest point of this setup.
It took us 1.5 hours to set up. But that was the first time we did it. I'm sure we can do it in under an hour with a bit of practice. That's too long for a 1 night stopover but fine for longer stays. For a single night I would just open the sleeping area and not worry about the rest of the tent.
