  • We woke up with visitors in our camp, until sun set. Yes the entire day.
I used a GoPro on a extension stick. Zero editing on the video.
Not once did any of the lions charge us.
We all walked around in the camp during the day as we are heading back home the next day.
We had 100% visibility off all the lions all the time. We didn't bother them. They kept there distance. Natural instinct of any animal is to fear humans.
This could also be an tactic of these lions to intimidate the human to scare them off.
It is well known that lion appear out of "nowhere" and the human run for cover and leave everything behind.
How many videos are made of Leopard and Lion drinking water from a container next to the caravan or tent in the campsite and the human filming from inside there "safety".
All the animals are born there and they know where to find food and water.
The animal see humans and want the sweet fresh water that was put out for them in a bowl or cut open 5L water bottle with a rock in side so that the container doesn't flip over and the precious water spilled on the hot dry sand.
Humans give animals fresh sweet water at the campsite and they think it's cute to see them drinking water in that very dry natural habitat
Stupid to put out water and nobody see anything wrong in that human behavior.
They just feel sorry for the poor healthy well fed animal in his natural habitat.
That is why these animals come closer to the human. They know there are easy food to be taken from them and they might get water from the container used to do dishes in.
The next camper will respect nature and know that all animals are wild and NOT to be fed!
Please respect nature and use your own discretion to what your actions will be.
I can type here whatever I want, very few people will read it.

Very reckless behaviour of these humans walking around..

And the worst part is, if the humans get attacked due to their recklessness, the lions are going to be put down!

Indeed you are correct. This was day 6 and we had to pack up camp to leave for SA.

Thank you, there was so much happening around the camp before the video. I just had to get it on film.

stupid behaviour to walk so close to lions just because you want to get some videos views. You put your life in danger in front of your kids.

"Had to pack up to go home". Nothing is so important. You could have gone home with one family member less.

Some people will say its bravery but its actually stupidity, sorry to say that but it is what it is. The video is nice but the actions are not too risky especially for the next camper
