Tony Gonzales Me too bro, We got to see the start of Tony Romo in person. The next game Tony Romo became the starter because Drew Bledsoe was like a statue that kept getting sacked.
Most under rated , under appreciated and one of the most highly scrutinized qb's in the game. This man is the heart and soul of our offense and lays out his heart every game , This aint idolizing its just evidence that ive seen thru the years .
Romo was like, "Dammit Terrell, I wanted that friggin football! It was my first touchdown!" You can just tell through that smile that that is what Romo was thinking.
Romo is the first qb i ever got excited about. I was always a defensive guy since I was a little kid love the hits. Never liked the qb position. After Romo retired I'm not that into football. Because the nfl can't hit anymore which was what I liked about Football. And the exciting play of Romo isn't in the nfl anymore.
And the legend was born .. if he never gains a super bowl ring, is ok. I have him in my top 20 QB's of all time. And number 1 QB in heart and passion! Marino was a great one who sadly never got a ring.
+Smallz Andrew lucks been only playing for 4 or 5 seasons XD. Big Ben is 6'5 which means it's harder for him to get hurt and yet he has Been hurt multiples times. Your arguments are invalid. You don't know shit.
family moved from houston to dallas summer 2006, first thing my dad did was get season tickets, all the way at the top, below the upper level suites. There was a small ring of concrete behind the seats and I stood there for every game, never taken for granted.
CKO92 I don't know about all that. Romo lead the league in QBR last season and is consistently getting better and better every year. He holds the franchise records in pass yards, TD and record for most come from behind wins in the NFL since entering the league. Brady is the man, no doubt. I'm a Pats fan, but Romo does deserve a bit of respect and recognition.
+CKO92 idk who you are but stop making everyone thinking pats fans are snobby little dickheads. I'm annoyed by it. I'm a pats fan first and a cowboys fan 2nd. Romo has the most 4th Quarter winning drives than even Brady. He has the most in the NFL... So no, take that bs choke artist shit out of here. Just because Tom Brady is an elite QB, doesn't mean Romo is trash. Stop being ignorant now.
This is the first football game I ever watched. My grandpa was a Texans fan and my dad a Cowboys fan who wanted to rub it in my grandpa's face that the Cowboys were better. I was a 9 year old kid who had never even heard of football. In the 10 years since Tony Romo's first snap he has gone on to set multiple Cowboy records and become one of the greatest Cowboys of all time, and in those same 10 years I have became a huge football fan and am just about the biggest football nerd you'll ever meet, I know almost everything and am now an aspiring sports broadcaster and actually do play-by-play for my university. I owe a lot of my life to this particular game, the Cowboys, the game of football, and Tony Romo. His hall of fame potential career and my football watching "career" began on the same day and I am forever grateful. Go Cowboys!! Thanks for all the awesome uploads Timmy they're awesome!
He's a good player... But I highly doubt he is Canton Bound. He will never be in the Hall of Fame. But that doesn't mean he wasn't a great player for your franchise. He will always be the face of the Cowboys from the mid 2000's to 10's.
For weeks I was looking for the vid of TO standing on the star as a Cowboy. I gave up but glad I found it here. TO was apologizing for the past. Romo looked amazing.
CKO92 I love how you mentioned Jay Culter! The reality is football is a team game. Romo blow in crucial moments but he produces at a high level season after season. Take this season for example, it shows if you give him a solid offensive live, a dependable run game and a stout defense, he can get you deep in the post season. Take that child!
+Matt Alexander look what the Cowboys were without him he's not bad everyone just blames him for Cowboys bad seasons but they got to remember it's called a "team sport" it's not just one persons fault if they lose
cmpunk2002 could not have said it better myself. defense wins more games in my opinion, in the 8-8 seasons our defense gave 8 games away and our offense were able to outscore a team 8 times playing a mediocre defense. last year we gave him the tools he needed to be more successful in the offense like a lot less pressure and more time and weapons, the only things lacking for a 6th ring are a good defense. haters will never see the whole sport or how games are won because their focus is far too narrow to understand how winning teams are built.
Bledsoe was not smug. Parcells was the QB killer. Make QBs with measurables that are off the charts play game manager and then when they need to take risks they are not ready. Tom Brady is so lucky that he played for Belicek his whole career. When he came into the game due to Bledsoe's injury, he was playing off a limited playbook so he improvised. Belicek was smart enough to craft his offense around Brady's skill set. Too many coaches try to drive round pegs into square holes by drafting a QB that was successful playing on instinct in college and forcing them into a system that works on a dry erase board. Dak is benefiting from Linehan calling plays like he wants a HC job somewhere else.
"He's gonna be a star in this league some day." There wasn't a singular second in the career of Sam Hurd where this wasn't an absurd statement to make.
I remember seeing Romo in practice when they would televise it, and preseason games. He just had this infectious energy and he was fun to watch. I had a feeling that if he could get on the field that something special might happen. They were close several years with Romo but nothing ever clicked at the right time for those teams. He'd do the craziest stuff... like go out and throw 5 ints in the first half in Buffalo and then bring them back to win. I think that was the deal with Romo (and it definitely wasn't all his fault)... you got the high wire act with the 4th quarter comebacks, but then he would just have an awful game for no reason.
Everyone puts Romo down bc of his playoff record and that he never went to or won a Superbowl. Keep in mind, the guy didn't get his first full season until the age of 27 -- that is a solid 4 seasons he never had the chance to. Also ironic that his body broke down - considering he didn't have the normal wear-and-tear most NFL QB's do at his age.
Ifoldthenuts because I would like them have new look. I'm not saying get rid of the old look, still use it but have some other style to wear once in while. Heck just wear the all blue uniform I love that uniform at home games and away use the white. But I know tradition we have always worn white. But I just like to see some different uniforms.
Man I always liked T.O. as a player but as a person on the field he always made it seem all about himself. I love Dez too but when he's doing all this throwing up the X pyramid shit and his teammates are congratulating him he seems more worried about his shine and camera time to the fans. Tony's the truth and he will win a Superbowl before his career is over! Eitherway it's DC4L!!!!!
I was at this game and I'll never forget it.. I've been a fan of Romo's since this day.
Tony Gonzales Me too bro, We got to see the start of Tony Romo in person. The next game Tony Romo became the starter because Drew Bledsoe was like a statue that kept getting sacked.
Reeeaalllyyy? I couldnt tell by your profile pic. You kind of look like him.
Chest bump on that Tony!!
Most under rated , under appreciated and one of the most highly scrutinized qb's in the game. This man is the heart and soul of our offense and lays out his heart every game , This aint idolizing its just evidence that ive seen thru the years .
real shit
CKO92 ya you should know all about cheating huh
+CKO92 yeah im guessing u didn't see Sundays game he didn't have a run game and still won
+CKO92 we gave them 17 free points if it wasn't for that that hmmm i wonder what the score would be?
+CKO92 plus we didn't have to let air out the ball for that comeback drive at the end lol
I just loved watching Tony Romo play. Some of those come back wins were just some of the best nights I can remember.
He was the Arturo Gatti of quarterbacks. He was so much fun to watch.
Romo was like, "Dammit Terrell, I wanted that friggin football! It was my first touchdown!" You can just tell through that smile that that is what Romo was thinking.
thats what i was thinking haha, maybe thats why Romo has bad luck sometimes, bcuz he never got his first td ball
Usually after things like that they will send a team official to get the ball from the fans and give the fan something in return.
Exactly what I was thinking.
I miss this old stadium
This is where I started loving and watch my Dallas Cowboys because Tony Romo
Romo is the only reason a lot of people remained fans. They would have been the Browns if they kept going with shit QBs
+Smallz yea He's definitely a future legend
+Smallz how do you have the ability to not get injured?? How about you let a 200+ man fall on your clavicle let's see how that works out.
+Smallz bull fucking shit. Quit trying to play the tough guy dude it ain't working XD XD
+Smallz Bruh Andrew luck just recently got hurt and he was out basically the whole season XD
+Smallz Andrew lucks been only playing for 4 or 5 seasons XD. Big Ben is 6'5 which means it's harder for him to get hurt and yet he has Been hurt multiples times. Your arguments are invalid. You don't know shit.
T.O. gave Romo's first TD pass away to some random kid. Hopefully the kid or at least his parents took care of it. That's a pretty important football.
Richard Burns he gave it to a fatass man
I did.
yes it is. its the first td football of one of the greatest chokeartist that ever played
Probably pawned it a month later. Lol.
I was just going to type that. Dang! You beat me to it by 2 years.
family moved from houston to dallas summer 2006, first thing my dad did was get season tickets, all the way at the top, below the upper level suites. There was a small ring of concrete behind the seats and I stood there for every game, never taken for granted.
I think Charlie meant to say "Hurd's going to be behind bars one day"
Lmao
true
TSpence 2648 that's what I said lol
Romo you still da man!
"Hurd's gonna be a star in this league one day."
Great call Charlie.
David Hymel Well he did make the headlines. lol
Hopefully that kid kept the ball. The ball Tony Romo threw for his first career touchdown pass could be worth a lot someday.
Lets.....Negotiate The Cowboy fan inside me is saying "Awesome!" but the skeptic inside me is saying "How could you prove that was the ball?"
What if he lost it?
What if he was playing with it one day & it got thrown into a neighbors yard & never seen again.
What if, what if, what if. You guys are no fun.
+Miles Coleman a little late but he can simply show them this video.
2:20 "He needs to retire right now" Thank God he didn't.
+CKO92 well than who the f*** would the cowboys qb be? your most likely a eagles fan that's just jelous because yall can't ever get a good qb
+CKO92 yeah. but look who brady has had to throw to and hand off to over the past 15 years compared to Romo.
+CKO92 Bandwagon.

So much heart in Romo. Love this vid.
It's been a fantastic awesome ride Romo! Can't wait for you to get back!
bobbycone2
He's not coming back as a starter for the cowboys
That 3rd and 9 looked just like the one vs the Texans this year
It did!!! He threw it the exact same way
Man the Texans secondary still looks like that.
And a legend was born... 4x probowler, Canton-bound. Just amazing.
He's a good player... But I highly doubt he is Canton Bound. He will never be in the Hall of Fame. But that doesn't mean he wasn't a great player for your franchise. He will always be the face of the Cowboys from the mid 2000's to 10's.
If only Jerry had done a better job giving him a team during that time.
Arun R. Canton-bound? Be serious man. Solid QB but undeserving of that honor.
One of the best days of my teenage years
Thanks for sharing this and most especially for sharing with the call by Brad Sham. I remember watching this game.
"Sam Hurd, He's gonna be a star in this league" - Charlie Waters Uuugh! Smh.
That fist shake in excitement never changed all these years later either.
Every TD.
"Hurd is going to be a star in this league..." Still in prison for drug trafficking.
Romo? You can't replace a better quarterback. Man he was electrifying. Everybody wanted to watch the next game. He wasn't scared to throw the ball!
Imagine if Romo could have had defense in any of those years.
What a great start to a solid career. All that's missing now is the SB.
he will always be my qb. i grew up watching this guy and it sucks knowing hes gonna leave to another team soon
This was the first game I saw as became a Cowboys fan and football fan. I was 9.
who gives a shit?
And the best scrambler 10 years later
And Tony got slammed after the throw - story of his career - hail # 9. A great QB
I bet romo would have wanted to keep that ball for himself...
For weeks I was looking for the vid of TO standing on the star as a Cowboy. I gave up but glad I found it here. TO was apologizing for the past. Romo looked amazing.
The legend begins...
CKO92
I love how you mentioned Jay Culter! The reality is football is a team game. Romo blow in crucial moments but he produces at a high level season after season. Priceless!!! #1 Romo Fan !!!
Timmy Johnson....Well put together video!!!! Good stuff!!!!
0:32 A legend was born.
to be a disappointment....
+Matt Alexander look what the Cowboys were without him he's not bad everyone just blames him for Cowboys bad seasons but they got to remember it's called a "team sport" it's not just one persons fault if they lose
Who's ready for a super bowl this year
Everyone of us cowboy fans
cmpunk2002 could not have said it better myself. defense wins more games in my opinion, in the 8-8 seasons our defense gave 8 games away and our offense were able to outscore a team 8 times playing a mediocre defense. last year we gave him the tools he needed to be more successful in the offense like a lot less pressure and more time and weapons, the only things lacking for a 6th ring are a good defense. haters will never see the whole sport or how games are won because their focus is far too narrow to understand how winning teams are built.
Drew Bledsoe is all smug on the sideline and he has no idea what's coming.
He got Bledsoed.
@3:54 Bledsoe is like, "Well there goes my career"
Bryan G ehhhhh...heard he said the same thing back in 2000...some guy named Tom Brady....somehow he got another 7 years behind center....
Thanks for posting this by the way. Important to keep this history documented.
"He's gonna be a star in this league some day." There wasn't a singular second in the career of Sam Hurd where this wasn't an absurd statement to make.
A star is born....
He is a bad ass! We were supposed to be champs last year! I think he's gonna get a ring, he deserves one! He has to get one!
He deserves a superbowl
Could not agree more
Yes.
True
Nobody deserves one you go out and earn it
10th anniversary today
and now Tony Romo is in Drew Bledsoe shoes now
Not yet he isn't.
yes he is
This video makes me very happy
9 years later....
Still on the quest for a super bowl.
Quest Failed: Time expired
thanks for posting.
The birth of a legend .
P.s. lol @ the commentator "hurd is going to be a star"
hahaha I wondered if anybody else remembered his unfortunate predicament
I think he's in prison now
How come the NFL and ESPN never show that video of T.O. giving a ball to a kid. He was always a good person.
This is so vintage
Damn. I remember watching this live in my great grandmothers living room.
Romo dissing the Texans 06, 10, 14Love it!
Severely under thrown. Love ya tony.
And Owens gives the ball to some fan. Don't you think Romo would want his first TD ball?
Say goodbye. Do not ever comment on any of my videos again. Go stick your head in the sand. you are a horrible person.
pete you are a stupid racist
bet u like trump
i remember this game great win
I watched this game.... hahaha oh dang what a tbt.... I watched romo come in the game and I knew he'd be good one day.
you posted this vid on my bday...oct 4, romo debuts on my moms...oct 15 lol
Any chance you have this full game? I've been searching for games from earlier in Romo's career (ie. pre-2009) forever
Brad Sham is an amazing announcer.
I remember seeing Romo in practice when they would televise it, and preseason games. He just had this infectious energy and he was fun to watch. Romo might be the most underrated QB in NFL history. He should have been first ballot HoF.
Tennessee 0-5 & Tampa Bay 0-4
Some things never change lol
Detroit was 0-5 too lol
Now Tampa are sb winners
RIP Bledsoe
Hate the Cowboys, but ive always liked Tony Romo's athletic style of play, still a huge fan top 20 QB in my opinion during my time watching football
best desicion ever
Once he returned the faith to the team!
Until he wins the big one, he'll always be known as the one who didn't. He'll probably be thought of as the one who couldn't.
ma I remember Sam heard, that was the man that always came through
I love Tony. Wish he wasn't at the end of his career
G.O.A.T💯
man, that fan got romos first touchdown pass. lucky.
Best qb ever
This was my first and only Cowboys game attended. No matter what, Romo will always be my guy.
Bledsoe standing on the sideline thinking “oh shit! Not again”.
what year was this? i became a fan in 07-08 in high school
+Rich Taylor 2006
I just made a Tony Romo MVP 2014 video if anyone wants to watch it. TH-cam blocked it so I put it on vimeo.
vimeo.com/115453757
Bad ass video bro
+Hector Hernandez thanks
+Timmy Johnson It's "WHITE 80" by the way
Yes it most certainly is. Sorry for the mistake!
Dude that video is awesome
Tony Romo will go down as a legend
Tony be that man pay him !!!!
I was 8 years old at the time
Wow and you're 19 now. So very old.
I feel old i remember this game an im only 26.....The commentating 😅
how did we end up with #4😭
is dallas ever going to change there uniforms to new look??
David C fuck no why would we ever do that
Ifoldthenuts because I would like them have new look. I'm not saying get rid of the old look, still use it but have some other style to wear once in while. Heck just wear the all blue uniform I love that uniform at home games and away use the white. But I know tradition we have always worn white. But I just like to see some different uniforms.
David C
Same
If i was romo id keep, that ball as a first td ball
Bledsoe thinking he just takin a break lol
Drew Bledsoe never seen the hash marked gridiron again after that.
crazy how hurd is locked up right now
T.O gave Romo s first NFL TD pass ball away lol
I forget what year this was
Cubertral 2006
didn't he go in a game in '05?
Yes I uploaded that also. Vs Philly in 05, he took a knee 3 times.
The game was already decided that time
His pass attempt was against the Giants
Man I always liked T.O. as a player but as a person on the field he always made it seem all about himself. I love Dez too but when he's doing all this throwing up the X pyramid shit and his teammates are congratulating him he seems more worried about his shine and camera time to the fans. Tony's the truth and he will win a Superbowl before his career is over! Eitherway it's DC4L!!!!!
IS JASON WITTEN HURT?!?!?!? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE
Damn I miss Tony
I was there
for those who don't know the guy who caught the first pass (Sam Hurd) is currently in prison.
Cory McBuckets and?
OMG, that was bananas, its ashamed he goes through so much ridicule now.
