I'm also aware of the "secret relationship" allegations that have come out about Gerry before the show. Since it's still ongoing and new information is coming out I decided I'm going to wait until the season review video to bring it up.
@@andrianachin3914holly wood reporter article gerry lied about that he isnt financially stable began dating a month after his wife died ,and mistreated a partner / ex girlfriend 👀 not a good look for him yikes.
honestly idk why a lot of people dislike/hate Theresa. I get rooting for Leslie but that doesn’t mean we have to tear down Theresa or not be happy for Gerry and Theresa.
I’ve seen some very disgusting comments about her physical appearance. How she looks fake, like a lizard, that she seems disingenuous because she had plastic surgery. It’s really disgusting.
Team Theresa. Team Leslie. They are not racehorses. I get that some people favor personality chacteristics and looks more than others. Ultimately, it's Gerry who needs to spend the rest of his life with who he picks. Wish them well. That's it.
I think a lot of it has to do with how the show portrayed Theresa. They aired her drama with Kathy and made Theresa look like the oblivious person who couldn't read the room. Then they also didn't make it look like Gerry really liked Theresa until the very last episode, so I think that doesn't help either. The edit really didn't do them a lot of favors, though they both seem like really nice people in real life.
I understand. I didn’t care for her much at first. But, as each show progressed, she grew on me. She’s really sweet and down to earth. I also felt sorry for Faith and Leslie but now I see why Gary picked Theresa. While I think the other two ladies were somewhat more physically attractive, Leslie is cute, funky and just “gets” Garry better. Three shows ago, I truly felt it’s gona be Theresa. And…ladies, did you see how Garry was sayin you’re my girl, I love you, bla, bla?? Never listen to a man’s words, WATCH his actions and watch his demeanor when he’s around you. Men cannot lie if you watch what they do. They are simple, basic creatures who want sex, food and sleep first and foremost, not necessarily in that order
Gerry should have kept “I think you’re the one” comments to himself, would have probably saved a lot of heartbreak and confusion. I felt so terrible for Leslie ugh
Even though Teresa was my pick, the break up with Leslie was hard to watch and made me feel so bad for her. I am very happy for Gerry and Teresa and fully plan to watch their wedding
I'm happy for them too, they have a lot in commom and Teresa seems like a nice person. If Leslie becomes The Golden Bachelorette I wonder how she will handle the L word and breakups. Breakups are hard even without other people involved.
@@MomandBuggs She will have a bunches of meltdowns and get a clue how hard it was for Gerry to send whomever home and choose whomever to stay till the final. Her berating Gerry was awful and it made some people believed she's the reason there's 2 divorces. Can't always blamed the men. I was shocked at Leslie's action against Gerry. Her dignity went out the window and none of the women especially the ones who thought he would choose them behaved so badly like her.
I agree with what others have said that Theresa was asking the right questions at the right time. It seemed like Leslie was in a loop about her past and not on the same level as Gerry. I think Theresa surprised him and instantly changed his perception of her. After that, there was no going back. He was picturing his life with Theresa more at that point. I feel so bad for Leslie, it was hard to watch.
His perception of Theresa instantly changed when he found out how much money she makes. He is not what we’ve been led to believe. He’s looking for $$$. He wants to be taken care of. I’m guessing his late wife was the actual breadwinner.
@@mykidsaresupercute Honestly none of these people look poor. He's on the first Golden Bachelor so they vet these people pretty hard. It's a ridiculous conclusion. Leslie didn't even care about living with him and marriage was scary to her.
@@amandad6782 if he's rich why did he treat his ex gf that way? His interest in Theresa only perked up when he found out about the money. I'm not the only one who thinks this. I liked him, but not now.
@user-bb9th5do6n his net worth is a million and that’s nothing for retirement. If you want to be in a nice retirement home it’s around $10,000 a month. His wife made most of their money. That’s what he’s used to.
I’m not sure why so many people don’t like Theresa, she’s a sweetheart! She responded to my instagram dm to her and was super kind. I think she genuinely just wanted to find love again. If we should be angry at anyone direct that anger towards Gerry and the choices he’s made
@@siobhan8996 From their first date on, I just knew Theresa was the right one for him. What did I see that others didn't? I think she's very kind hearted and didn't realize what she way saying was bothering the other women. So I do wonder what if the shoe had been on another's foot? Would she have wanted to hear about "their" connection? Truthfully I think she's so kind, she would have been happy for the other person. But I don't really know.
I thought she was manipulative and competitive what with tbe whole Kathy thing. But she's what Gary's comfortable with. And when it got down to the last three it was bizarre that it was revealed the other two didn't want to move! They shouldn't have been on the show. He would've been stupid to pick them at that stage. And really, he would've probably been fine with most of all the women if they'd willing to move and he'd met them individually, instead of as a horse race.
I personally didn’t see it as manipulation. I saw moments when other girls had dates and they did the same thing Theresa was doing… when you are excited or have a good date… you want to share it with your friends. All she had was this group of girls… it’s a tough situation for anyone being so isolated… and obviously it’s heavily edited so who is to know how it all went down.
The way I imagine the bachelor’s contract to look is like: “fake them out during the proposal: 20k bonus” “Failure to dump the runner up at the platform: 50k penalty”
I was always Team Leslie, but I will admit that Theresa does feel better suited for the life Gerry has and where he is. The fact that Theresa said she’d move to him and quit her job where Faith and Leslie would not probably sealed the deal toward her.
@@lovem7635 Leslie was like a mini basket case berating Gerry. She claimed she don't wanted to lose her dignity if he's not going to choose her. Yet her dignity was out the window berating Gerry. His daughters didn't like her after that. Guess this is the real Leslie which explained her 2 divorces.
@comment1ism866 Exactly. This is why some people wanted to hear her ex-husbands side of the story. People who have too many divorced usually the common denominator.
@@serene1275 I think she only cared about the end result - getting married - rather than actually wanting to be with Gerry. The way she said she already picked out the dress, wrote her vows, and had her ring... when we all know they wouldn't be able to do anything until the finale aired. I don't know... I just get feel like she wanted to be the show's "winner" rather than the "prize".
But Gerry is moving to be with her, and she’s not quitting her job. That’s the real difference, money. He’s not retired and wealthy, like we’ve been like to believe. He’s looking for a sugar mama. I thought it was admiration in his eyes when Theresa was talking about her career and wealth but now I realize it was dollar signs.

More than Chris Harrison, honestly, who always seemed to be in ‘host mode’, not unlike Ryan Seacrest on Idol 🤷🏻♀️ Jesse seems to have a bit more empathy (or maybe just a better actor 😅)
Thank you for clarifying that Gerry kept saying things like “you’re the one” to Leslie. The comments on Instagram have been quite anti-Leslie, which I found shocking. Gerry really made it sound like he was going to choose her, which made the fall steeper. He was so thoughtless
I disliked him from the start because he has no emotional intelligence. He said the same thing to every single woman and when he was called out he claims he wanted everyone to feel special. WTF. Grow up old man
Can’t help but think that Theresa’s relationship “success” and Leslie’s relationship hardships played a big role in his decision and that is just heartbreaking.
Theresa has her shit together....she's happy, kind and not desperate to be with a man. Leslie is looking for a man to make her happy because she's not and being 2x divorced, naturally Gerry found common ground with another widower which was Theresa. I think they are lovely together. Makes total sense.❤
Thank you Fantake, not only for every single video but particularly for this one, which is superb, daaaaaaaa. Also for not immediately churning out stuff about Gerry’s alleged past. This was a great series with real life off screen happy times for your family and for real people as contestants on a bachelor show. I loved it and I love your continued brilliant videos.
I hope Gerry and Theresa have a wonderful life together! I think they are a great match. With Leslie, I think Gerry was physically attracted to her, but they weren't connecting otherwise.
I’ve loved all these women the whole time. Gerry definitely made a lot of mistakes but I love him too. I really enjoyed this season and I am happy they found each other even if it was through turmoil. Leslie and the rest are beautiful smart women who will continue to do well and thrive.
I think Gerry showed us that he is not a serial dater, so he really had no "game" on how to date multiple women at the same time. In those moments, he may have very well felt as he said, but definitely should have kept those feelings/thoughts to himself. I am happy for Gerry and Theresa. They certainly seem well suited for one another.
I want a show with the golden bachelorettes from this season, where they tour around America visiting odd attractions, landmarks, historical places and also more traditional upscale places like olive groves, vinyards, farms whatever, idk, theyre all such beautiful gems! Wish i could see more of them somehow
Theresa was my pick early on. She matched his energy and was really mature, they got each other to a deeper level with their similarities. I loved Leslie too but just honestly think she was exciting and a joy to be around for Gerry but didn’t have the same maturity and compatibility especially for the ages they are with Gerry being over 70 he needed more of a companion not just bubbly personality.
I think he also wanted someone who could articulate and ask a little deeper questions and go further than what Leslie was able to do. I think that Theresa did that and impressed him in that way. They just seemed more suited for a long term relationship than what Leslie was showing him. Sometimes people need more than just, “I love you”. It seems like all the comments overall make him out to be a gold digger. But, I think he just wants to be happy and have a partner again. Same with Theresa. I hope they both find happiness ❤
Sixty-six year old grandma type here. I always love your recaps. The break up with Leslie was tough. I have thought for a long time it may very well be Theresa in the end because of their similar marriage background experiences. I love the clips that you insert. The one with the scene from “The King and I” was my favorite ever! “It’s a lie…it is a false lie!” 😅 Thank you for your amazing recaps!
Personally, I am mad at Gerry for leading Leslie on. Gerry knew her background and how vulnerable she was. You can't tell multiple people that you love them. You shouldn't utter those words until the proposal. I'm disappointed in Gerry concerning Faith and Leslie. You can't go around toying with women’s hearts.
I have to agree. Considering Gerry claimed he compartmentalised each relationship... he wasn't very good at treating everyone in a way which showed he understood them. The things he said to Faith, and the things he said to Leslie, were inappropriate and rather thoughtless. Both women opened up about their life experiences and their vulnerable sides, but he didn't take it on board. Disappointing.
I don't blame him for being honest with his "I love you's," but he did tell Leslie approximately 6 times "I think you're my girl/the one." That's messed up.
I'm 67. So instead of watching The Golden Bachelor, I just watched all the Bachelor Fan takes of that season. It was a great way to experience it! Highly recommend.
I appreciate your recaps! I first started watching these shows bc of Roses and Rose which of course isn’t around anymore… now I watch yours bc they’re so good! I wait around all day for you to post them!! I will say, for all the haters out there, marriage has to make sense. It makes way more sense for Theresa and Gerry to make things work than the other ladies. I’m pretty sure things with Faith or Leslie and Gerry would not have worked out since they weren’t looking to build a new life with someone, they wanted someone to fit into their lives. A good marriage means you have two, equal people who are coming together to build a new family and a life together aka plenty of compromise. It’s also so helpful to have people who understand where you’ve been and they had that too. Plus, they both seem like “all in” kinds of people so that’s great (and part of my first point)
@@Mollycrimey When you're 72, your margin for compromise is small and keeps shrinking. He wasn't going into any long distance relationships and seeing if they work out.
That breakup with leslie was so heart wrenching for the show ,but its the exact type of drama i watch the show for. Like these are real stakes ,and real people's hearts i think gerry was bit careless ,and i hope he ,and theresa make it work.
People get upset with Gerry but it’s easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment and until you are in their shoes, it’s not as easy to do everything right. I am happy for him and Theresa and I can really see their love. Congrats to them both!
Well. Gary DEFINITELY set a NEW PRECEDENT. From now on, you can dismiss anything as, "At that time, it was the truth". "In that moment, that is how I felt". "Between the 2second mark when I said those words and the time they reached your ears, I changed my mind". Come on, Gary!
I missed the 1st 1/2 of the show but I saw the announcement, along w/the gift of the show giving them their Italy trip which they’ll use for their honeymoon
I'm so happy for them! Their love and happiness are evident, and it brought tears to my eyes. This couple stands out as the first in Bachelor history who genuinely appear madly in love and have undeniable chemistry. However, amidst this joy, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness for Leslie. She often reflects on her past relationships and how she consistently chose partners who mistreated her. It's clear in her mannerisms that she hasn't fully healed from those experiences, and she doesn't radiate the same vibrancy and zest for life as Theresa does. Nevertheless, I have faith that Leslie will find her person, especially with the show's extensive male viewership. On a positive note, I absolutely love Theresa's personality. She has grown on me with each episode, and it's clear that Gerry has also developed feelings for her.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the clips you choose for these recaps. You included The Room in a previous one, and now The King and I? The variety is unparalleled 👏👏
I'm so glad he picked Theresa. I think that they're better for one another. I think Leslie needs a younger guy, someone in his 40s. She has a very young spirit and I don't think she and Gerry would've been a good match.
YES! So glad you noticed Cat because it was SENDING ME every time she reacted. (also to be a fly on the wall near the rest of the golden girls!) - also the B99 bits were PERFECT
So everyone has loved Gerry until this ONE episode, where EVERYONE knows he had to choose 1 person and the other would be heartbroken? Just two weeks ago (or 1?) at the Women Tell All they were singing his praises! What has changed - he didn't choose the woman you liked for him, but the women he liked for himself? Beyond confused! Also, nothing he said as to why he chose another woman would have satisfied her, or anyone. The answer is usually as simple as "I liked the other person more" and we all know this. I haven't watched this season, literally ONLY through Bachelor Fantake but this flip flop is wild and giving me whiplash. Also feels very unwarranted.
I watched most of the show except the part with Gerry's familiy. I think he did want Leslie but Theresa was the better fit into his life and they had more in common so she had the edge. Also I think Theresa is less entitled than Leslie or at least that's how they came across. Life is easier with a humble person.
The show is kind of built to make you have the lead by the end. Either the fans thing the person is rude and not really in it for the right reasons because they don’t say they love anyone, or they get too deep into multiple people and get hated for that. There was that one season that that woman just left with the person she fell in love with right away and got hate for that too haha. I think I better show would be having the first half be choosing their best match and then the second half seeing if they fall in love enough to get married
I dislike how people gang up on him. He didn't pull Pilot Pete or anything like that. He got carried away with words but that's a common issue. He just connected more with someone else during the time when they were truly alone. I think Theresa was the best choice for him. Compatibility at that stage of life is the most important part. They get each other and there's no location issues, they can just be together. They look happy!
You were RIGHT!!! You called it as Theresa from the previews and I didn't believe it. I really wanted her to be the Golden Bachelorette. She would have been so much fun. Gerry and Theresa seem super happy and I wish them them best. We can say a lot about Gerry getting wrapped up in the moments and breaking hearts, but he still had the respect and integrity to speak to these women in a clear and direct way. It takes courage to do that. Breakups are hard. Gerry reminded us how it should be done. In person, with clarity and respect. You don't send a text (JUSTIN!!) or heaven forbid... ghost someone.
Thank you! That's those parts some people forget how Gerry do things. He's not cold heart and a drama king. Leslie was a drama queen with that meltdown like some people said.
I DO get tired of everyone acting like the Bachelor/ette isn’t saying the same & feeling the same. We need them to NOT use the L word…but until the finale. It’s game on.
Exactly. I don't understand the constant shock and awe every season. I'm pretty sure you can love more than one person, especially in this environment.
I agree with the above replies. If you are having trouble choosing between the finalists than it would be unusual if you weren't feeling love for more than one person. So they shouldn't expect that if they hear "I love you" that it is exclusive to them. But something like "I think you are the one", "You're my girl", and "I feel like that is the first day of the rest of our lives together" is entirely different.
@user-eu7jb8ev8t The point was that he shouldn't have said "I love you" to THREE or even to TWO women. You'd think he'd have some common sense and integrity at his age, particularly seeing as it's all being filmed. I think he loved Theresa's balance sheet more.
Gary seems to be one of those people who always want to make others feel special ‘in the moment’. He even admitted that. You can’t just live in the moment & not be accountable for what you said 1 hour earlier, though. I can see why poor Leslie felt totally blindsided…and who else knows what he said off-camera to her? That said, I agree Teresa seems more his type and hope they will be happy together.
Editing!! The theme was set up the 1st date with Theresa. The lights "conveniently" go out on the car on the road, and she encourages and comforts him like a wife would. They go to a diner (like he had). They both had long stable marriages ending in death. The song playing is "Don't Stop Believing." Later Theresa is at the Pickleball game...Leslie isn't. (Pickleball, the game Gary loves so much). Gary plays in the yard with Theresa's grandkids, and says to them he might be their new PawPaw. Dates and storyline have to be set up early, so what this says at least to me is that when questioned Gary expressed an interest in Theresa as the emotional connection that first evening to the Producers. He expressed an interest in Leslie as the physical, fun interest. That was clear! Gary was in inexperienitially WAY over his head. He simply could not handle HIS own emotions let alone all the women's emotions. What he did first to Faith and especially to Leslie goes beyond defending even on this show. I know the Producers wanted drama, but they should have given him some guidance. Finally, free spirited pretty Leslie needs a younger man. I hope she heals, and they offer her The Golden Bachelorette.
You do the best recaps and great comedy inserts. Thank you. Easy to lose sight this is a highly edited TV show for ratings. They are all cast, who consent to terms and know they could go home anytime. Period. Leslie showed no grace in her exit.
This finale gave me such similar vibes to Zach’s finale and how Gabi felt led on. It’s kinda hard when the vibe just switches to happy engagement after the person before just had the most brutal dumping😬
Can I just say, I applaud you for not including too much footage of Leslie breaking down crying at her lowest point. It kind of felt exploitative on the show, so thank you for not including it too much in your recap.
If the rumors are true ,and maybe gerry isnt as financially stable as presented do you think what really pushed him toward choosing theresa was finding out she's rich lol.
How does one judge another without knowing them... it was actually a thought I had, but really? Could have been a host of other things, i.e., just simply her energy. .. the bachelor nation is a very flawed concept.. leading others on is a form of emotional abuse! 😮
I was so sure he was either going to end up with Leslie or Faith because they were younger, even though Teresa was giving all types of green flags and I am so happy he made the right choice. Gary really tried to save the 'L' word for 1 person, and said it numerous times, but was pressured into saying it because he's such a people pleaser. According to his sweet personality type and genuineness, it was clear that the best suited one was the selfless, kindhearted, relationship ready Teresa. Who really glowed up by the end of the show. I think therapy would do wonders in Leslie's life. She is beautiful, but I don't know how ready she is to be in a committed marriage for life. I hope the golden Bachelorette is either Faith, Joan, Edith or Marina
@@sarahlang2119 if you read correctly I said "I don't know"… not "I know". From everything I saw, Teresa seemed to indicate that she is more of a long term partner, through her 43 year long marriage to Billy and what sealed the deal for me is her genuinely telling Garry that even though she'd want to get picked, she only wants to get chosen if he is 1000% sure it's her. Which showed me how selfless she is. While Leslie, although she voiced the same, she did not mean it. Faith had the same situation and did not throw a fit like Leslie. If she would treat Garry with the same disrespect as shown in the show, when they'd have disagreements, I am not sure that relationship would last. He was quiet, apologized, tried to comfort her by saying "don' t think that" and she rudely answered back I can bleeping think what I want". That's when she lost me completely .How did she even take it that way?? Yeah, choosing her would've been a grave mistake.
Both women seemed very nice, as did all the women on the show. And I am happy that love was found . So I understand it is hard for them to go through the break ups, but that is part of the show.
It was soooo interesting to see how both Leslie and Theresa reacted to being told they aren’t the one. Leslie immediately started saying something like “I knew it!” And started berating Gerry. We didn’t see a ton of Theresa but her first response (after Gerry’s little prank during the proposal) was “Oh. Okay.” That right there, along with some other times throughout the show, shows me that Theresa is just a bit more mature than Leslie and a better match for Gerry.
Thank you, you nailed it right on the head. I was wondering if anybody else noticed that too. Leslie reaction and words to Gerry, showed to me and probably to him as well, that all the more he made the right choice in choosing Theresa. Theresa would have been upset to, but I don't think she would have cursed him out or blamed him for his decision. She knew he already had a tough choice and she knew she was not the only woman. Thank you for your comment in pointing this out.
I honestly think that his biggest mistake in this whole journey was looking for something similar to or reminiscent of what he had with his first wife. Just because he's in his 70s does not mean he has a lot of experience in relationships, especially since he had been with the same woman since he was in high school. I think that his understanding of love is very different than someone who has more diverse relationship experience. I think he found comfort in the high-school-sweetheart-now-widowed story and his family did too. I think that he had a misconception about what that meant about Teresa, which we can now see in retrospect given their quick divorce. He feared having an independent woman who wouldn't mold her life to his, which is clear because the reason for the divorce was Teresa not giving up her career for him. I think in the long run, he cheated himself out of what could have been a lot of happiness.
Omg I love the "Uhhhhhhhhhh." That cracks me up! You should put more stuff like that. I have an attention span of a termite so I need constant stimuli!
Leslie didn't deserve to be led on like that. I'm glad she called him out the way she did. And I believe the "Golden Bachelor Girl Gang" have her back! Their facial expressions & body language said it all!
I'm not a BN fan. I just tuned into this one because they are my peers but no way in hell will I watch Leslie's dramas for one more season. She's a mess.
I actually was kind of shocked by the wedding announcement! We haven’t had one since Evan and Carly two kids and a whole divorce ago! Unless you count Krystal and Goose, and we all know how that went…
They really need to revamp the entire concept of this show. If they can’t even make this a love story you can root for then I think there’s some inherent flaw in the set up. I think it would be cool to have the first half be picking the final person, and then the second half be them falling in love and deciding to get married or not. It’s so weird to get married to someone you only JUST decided was your person
@comment1ism866 What? Maybe I didn't explain it right. I meant the first half of the show should be like the bachelor, but they pick their final pick earlier in the process, meaning less feelings get hurt. Then the second half is them dating to decide if the match is going to stick before they get married.
So glad I didn't suffer through the whole program, since DirecTV was blocking that channel locally due to contract issues. Given the outcomes and predictable fallout, this was the perfect recap and commentary to sum it all up! Thanks so much for your witty spot-on observations about der golden clod ..er bachelor! 🙄😜😏
I have been team Theresa since she stepped out of the limo. I'm ecstatic! ❤ I watched the Katie Couric interview and Gerry told her about ALL his past relationships, so Theresa knows everything already and trusts him 1000%.
I didn't have a favorite so it really doesn't matter to me, but did it not bother anyone else that Gerry didn't even know what Theresa does for a living until the day of her FS? How in to her could he have been? He seemed to really perk up and act interested in her and what she was saying when she started telling him what she does for a living and how successful she has been.
I agree that Theresa being willing to have hard conversations and shift her life to match his would have made a much better explanation than, "you were until you weren't"
Theresa is a classy lady! I really like her voice and how calm and elegant she looks like ! I think that I can come to her for advices and to hear her wisdom ! I’m a woman and that’s refreshing to see in national tv , where we are always seeing loud young black /white woman ! Love Gerry and Theresa ♥️💚!
WTF. She was on the verge of crying and a mental breakdown. Classy? She showed her birthday when she first met. You call back classy? You run around in lingerie on your first date? Yikes
@@LDiamondzWhen Theresa introduced herself to Gerry after she exited the limo she wore a robe and opened it in front of him and flashed him. @@annb8296 Thank you. Now I remember that. I was confused because of the wording, "She showed her birthday." I had completely forgot that scene. Birthday suit. Thank you, again. ❤
@@LDiamondz You're welcome 💖. I just finished watching the finale online. It's interesting how Theresa was the one he formed a bond with at the very beginning and was the person chosen at the end. I felt bad for Leslie though. I thought they might announce her as the first Golden Bacherolette. Who knows maybe she still will be but usually they announce it live after the finales.
Gerry made the right decision. This undercurrent with Leslie about always getting screwed over by men was unnecessary pressure and a power play by her to control a man's behavior towards her instead of letting the relationship grow and continue organically. Gerry, and any bachelor or bachelorette, is under pressure to keep the audience guessing and to keep their interest in the program to its ending. Leslie should have known and understood that it was a competition. I'm not saying she should have denied her feelings of disappointment but she got ahead of herself by putting too much faith that she was the final choice and prematurely planning life after the show as the winner. By doing so, she set herself up for this unneeded disappointment and grief.
How rude of you to suggest she was exerting pressure when she was just explaining her history. She put faith in her being the final choice because a) he said he loved her, b) told her she was the one - and he also said something behind closed doors that made her 100% confident he would pick her. As she said, they were planning life after the show during overnights. It was Gerry that set her up for disappointment.
Leslie can handle the break up any way she wants, that's true, but my interpretation of how she handles it was that was nail in the coffin for Gerry, and her reaction may have solidified that he was making the right decision . I think she could have composed herself a little more and not have been so accusatory towards Gerry saying "so everything you said was an utter LIE" like obviously not, you are on the BACHELOR, love doesn't follow the same rules of etiquette as in real life and I'm surprised at how many women and men forget that. And then not to accept this apology at the tell all was also telling, to me of course. This is just my opinion.
I actually gave Leslie a lot of credit for hugging Gerry per the finale. When I do believe Gerry had lied to her, he just lied! I would never would have done it, just for the cameras. She had every right to be hurt, disappointed & resentful of the person, who put her in that position.
Er he told her that she was the one, that he loved her, said plenty more to suggest she was the one and all that was ON Camera. And as she said to him at ATFR, he also clearly said things off camera that made her 100% sure she was the one. It's Gerry not Leslie who f**ed up here. She has every right to be angry and there is no rule to say someone should have to accept an apology
Why do so many people believe everything that they read online, then repeat it as if it's the absolute truth? I always want to hear the other side of a story before passing judgment!
This was one of the only seasons of this franchise I have watched in years now because it was so good. However, I live for your recaps, so I always watch them too. Keep doing what you're doing. You're a total King!
What is sticking in my head is Leslie's comment after the breakup. I havent seen anyone mention it. She says. "Time is running out." That is heartbreaking...
That statement is sad because it shows how desperate she really is. Sorry but men can smell desperation from miles away and Gerry picked up on that big time.
the whole time jesse was going "a SHOCKING announcement" and i was like "its literally impossible for Theresa to be pregnant....i mean... that would be shocking..." and it was just what i was 100% expecting.
From night 1, I knew Leslie wasn’t right for the long run. He & Teresa get each other . I like Leslie as a person, but she needs a different kind of guy & I wish the best for her. Keep going to therapy and know there are good guys out there that are right for you and maybe they will do Golden Bachelorette for you
@@juliedavis7445 yeah, I was telling my mom that they had diametrically different experiences in relationships and Gerry would have gotten really tired of having to constantly live up to the pedestal that Leslie put him on and needing to be reassured and consistently acknowledge her as his top priority. And the fact is what Leslie has gone through is not uncommon… I find her journey to be very compelling, which is why I really hope that she does get to do golden bachelorette. But for me, Gerry and Teresa are already in the same emotional space and would not have any issues with embracing their past spouses into this current relationship with respect to them knowing how they feel about each other. I actually found Gerry and Teresa to be very beautiful in that.
I'm also aware of the "secret relationship" allegations that have come out about Gerry before the show. Since it's still ongoing and new information is coming out I decided I'm going to wait until the season review video to bring it up.

That's right! 👍
honestly idk why a lot of people dislike/hate Theresa. I get rooting for Leslie but that doesn’t mean we have to tear down Theresa or not be happy for Gerry and Theresa.
I loved Theresa

The way I imagine the bachelor’s contract to look is like:
“fake them out during the proposal: 20k bonus”
“Failure to dump the runner up at the platform: 50k penalty”
Agree I think the whole thing was just Hollywood! Dramatic and fake!!
I was always Team Leslie, but I will admit that Theresa does feel better suited for the life Gerry has and where he is. The fact that Theresa said she’d move to him and quit her job where Faith and Leslie would not probably sealed the deal toward her.

Leslie was like a mini basket case berating Gerry. She claimed she don't wanted to lose her dignity if he's not going to choose her. Yet her dignity was out the window berating Gerry. His daughters didn't like her after that. Guess this is the real Leslie which explained her 2 divorces.
@comment1ism866
Exactly. This is why some people wanted to hear her ex-husbands side of the story. People who have too many divorced usually the common denominator.
@@serene1275 I think she only cared about the end result - getting married - rather than actually wanting to be with Gerry.
Leslie leads with sex. It’s unattractive at her age and looked desperate and sad.
@anhbarker Exactly. All of what you said. 👍
Yes, GREAT idea! I would definitely watch that show!
They were a better match although I do think he was into Leslie
Yes I got more fun, we do adventures and laugh together vibes with how he was with Leslie also from what we saw
Agree about Leslie but it was not her age but her mini meltdown berating Gerry publicly. His daughters were not amused from the look on their faces.

I just felt really bad for this man having to navigate this stressful environment . Glad this didn’t end in a heart attack.

You are 💯 right 👍
I have to agree.

I wish the best for Gerry and Theresa. I would love to see Leslie get on dancing with the stars next. That would be fun.
Yeah she seemed way younger than him
YES! So glad you noticed Cat because it was SENDING ME every time she reacted. (also to be a fly on the wall near the rest of the golden girls!) - also the B99 bits were PERFECT
When She said "I knocked his boots off" I bet Kathy was thinking "zip it" - Kathy may have been onto something.
Its just the fact that he could so easily proclaim love to both women...he doesnt seem genuine imo, men at any age dont really get women
I 💯 percent agree with you!! And I watched the whole season!
That’s what I’ve been trying to tell ya!!! LOL LOL. 😂 He liked Theresa better.
“You made it sound like you chose me” oh good jesus that broke me
You were RIGHT!!!

How would you know whether she is ready? And how do you know that a) she needs therapy or that b) she already has a therapist.
@@VictoriousSageI agree
Both women seemed very nice, as did all the women on the show. And I am happy that love was found . So I understand it is hard for them to go through the break ups, but that is part of the show.
💯
It was soooo interesting to see how both Leslie and Theresa reacted to being told they aren’t the one. Leslie immediately started saying something like “I knew it!” And started berating Gerry. We didn’t see a ton of Theresa but her first response (after Gerry’s little prank during the proposal) was “Oh. Okay.”
That right there, along with some other times throughout the show, shows me that Theresa is just a bit more mature than Leslie and a better match for Gerry.
Your lack of emotional intelligence is showing
Thank you, you nailed it right on the head. I was wondering if anybody else noticed that too. Leslie reaction and words to Gerry, showed to me and probably to him as well, that all the more he made the right choice in choosing Theresa. Theresa would have been upset to, but I don't think she would have cursed him out or blamed him for his decision. She knew he already had a tough choice and she knew she was not the only woman. Thank you for your comment in pointing this out.
Thank you! 👏🏾👏🏾 People have to look past the editing. Leslie was a train wreck emotionally. She always needed constant approval
Great recap!!! Thank you!!
Omg I love the "Uhhhhhhhhhh." That cracks me up! You should put more stuff like that. I have an attention span of a termite so I need constant stimuli!
The commentator is absolutely hysterical!!! Thank you for this! And Teresa, def get a prenup!
His one granddaughter’s reaction to the “knock boots off” comment was like eww 😂🤣
Gerry's fakeout IN the proposal had me rolling
Your reviews are hilarious 😂. I always look forward to them
Leslie didn't deserve to be led on like that.
I Can't see anyone at this stage of life changing everything- just for one person?? You have an established life and family. Don't ever give that up.
I'm so disappointed there was no Golden Bachelorette announcement!!!
I literally don't watch these shows? But I INHALE your recaps, you're doing the work of the Lord out here! 🙌🏾🤭😩😅
Come on!! The decision was about money and lifestyle, period.
I agree.
You’ve been proved right!
I actually was kind of shocked by the wedding announcement! We haven’t had one since Evan and Carly two kids and a whole divorce ago! Unless you count Krystal and Goose, and we all know how that went…
I think Mari and Kenny are getting married on the next BIP episode too!
@@amandafranklin2901 They're already married but yeah maybe they did an unofficial BIP wedding too during filming
@@kells4315you explained it fine. Someone is missing a few screws
Omg! And the finale recap was the best recap ever!!!! Thanks Chris! Just when I think you could never a video you do another slam dunk.
I seriously thought that the shocking announcement was going to be that Theresa is pregnant 🤰 🤣 🤣
Right. At HER age??
Gimme a break!

Loved your recaps! Thank you 🎉
When he said "be happy" it was cringe.
Anybody else want to see that $60,000 dress?
hell yeah! I'd like her to wear it on Golden Bachelorette!
@@autodidact2289 I was hoping they would announce the Golden Bachelorette. I hope they are going to have one.
I didn't like Theresa's "$45,000" dress at all. I like her dress on stage at the finale!
It was the blue dress in the promo. They would have made her put it on for purposes of suggesting both women went to the podium.
Yikes
What do you mean she 'showed her birthday?' I missed something. Birthday?
@@LDiamondzWhen Theresa introduced herself to Gerry after she exited the limo she wore a robe and opened it in front of him and flashed him. People thought she was showing her "birthday suit" (nakedness). Gerry was stunned at first and the audience couldn't see whether she did or not but it was later revealed that she was actually wearing a nude-colored minidress under her robe.
Team Theresa from the beginning!! They are perfect for each other and she is soooo cute!! ❤
Well Stated! 👏
I 🤔 the Daughters favored Theresa more than her.
She literally sabatoged herself and new it! Bringing up her past repeatedly and looking like she is bad in relationships, made him turn to Theresa
Another great video! Just a quick note: in the title, I think you meant "You Led Me On", not "You Lead Me On".
Woops! Changed!
Gerry has lead on poisoning
@@BachelorFantake 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ha didn't even notice
I'm so looking forward to Theresa and Gerry making new happy memories together!
Great recaps as always fantake your are hilarious kat face expression ,and everyone body language was highlight of the finale for me 🤣👍🏽.
Why do so many people believe everything that they read online, then repeat it as if it's the absolute truth? I always want to hear the other side of a story before passing judgment!
Sometimes burying your head in the sand doesn't work. He's already admitted it
This was one of the only seasons of this franchise I have watched in years now because it was so good. However, I live for your recaps, so I always watch them too. Keep doing what you're doing. You're a total King!
“Golden Bachelor girl-gang!” Lmao. Great recap.
I was TOTALLY expecting the announcement to be the Golden Bachelorette!! I was disappointed, too, Fantake!
I was not expecting that King and I clip, well used, sir!
Best recap ever!!!!!! U r killing me!😂
The brooklyn 99 cutaways killed me.. good one XD
@@py528 it was mainly sad bc she is implying that she’s going to die before she finds love…don’t have anything to do with men 💀
the whole time jesse was going "a SHOCKING announcement" and i was like "its literally impossible for Theresa to be pregnant....i mean... that would be shocking..." and it was just what i was 100% expecting.
From night 1, I knew Leslie wasn’t right for the long run. He & Teresa get each other . I like Leslie as a person, but she needs a different kind of guy & I wish the best for her. Keep going to therapy and know there are good guys out there that are right for you and maybe they will do Golden Bachelorette for you
I agree! I was shocked Leslie made it as far as she did. She also seems very needy and needs constant reassurance
The Parks and Rec clip is so perfect because that character’s name is Gary too 😭 🔥
