Thank you for this wonderful color/black mixing demo/tutorial, I always have a hard time to use black - adding 3 primary colors, but the result is not black and I just don;t know which color to add to change it, and have to try many times to get it (and use lot of paints). Now i learned the adding white color trick to get the black. Thank you very much.

you should have also mixed a black and white to produce a grey and compared that to the grey created by mixing white and the ryb 'black' to see if they are indistinguishable from each other!

They are different. When white is used can be chaulky. I never for example used black (until I began pouring acrylic paint). I mixed Dioxizine Purple, Burnt Umber, and to taste (sight) Ultramarine Blue. This combination makes a very saturated color. It's not Black. But looks Black.
