My wife is an isfp. She values her relationships above everything else. The world can be collapsing with stuff that needs to get done, and she'll have no problem sitting down to talk to a friend that needs her help for hours. I admire that.
An EJ here. I have thought many times about how if I only had the motivation I could level any mountain. I need someone who actually cares about something and needs my help and then I'm away. I think the IP dedication is precious. Other people here say they envy the EJ... I can say the same, I wish I had that centre, the stuff I would kill for. At the end of the day, we need each other. We're not better than each other, we're better together.

Omg this now makes so much sense. Im a horrible organizer and executer. I downloaded all these agenda planners to help with organizing college assignments. The best one for me was the one that was a checklist style that also could apply the high to low priority to events/tasks. I hate the calendar type organizers because i don't really care about the days. ISFP do yourself a favor and get a checklist planner with a priority option.

I'm curious if other Consume-Sleep types out there can relate to this. I research something fascinating. Then think about it, draw additional conclusions, and systematize it into something that seems easily understandable to me. At the time, I think it's the most interesting thing ever. Then I tell someone else about it and they give me a blank stare and say "So?" They absolutely cannot even pretend to be interested in it. To them, it's the most boring thing ever and they almost fell asleep during the 2 minutes I told them about it... but to me, it was exciting and fun researching it for 70 hours last week.

At times it gets so frustrating that I have thoughts like "why is everyone so dumb around me, why can't they see the marvel I see?" I've had this experience in many things, be it thinking about the concept of Westworld, cinematography in great movies/TV shows, Messi's football skills, mainly the less noticed incredible passing, Hans Zimmer & Ramin Djawadi's music (just to name a couple), the massive change in the feel when a song is changed from major to minor scale & vice versa, the tiny details in games like Skyrim & GTA which don't affect the gameplay but show dedication of the creators, even the subtle dry humour of Dave! I really feel lonely at times that people around me don't seem to understand & appreciate these things!
It always depends on if your counterpart is intothe same thing as you, it doesn't say anything about somebody being smart and the other person dumb. But you seem to know this. Key to not being lonely? Get more hobbies that other people like as well, then you can share the experience

That's the problem, though, especially if you have Fi... There's no such thing as "getting hobbies that other people also like," since you can't force someone to like something. You could waste your time doing things that you don't enjoy but are popular so you can make friends, but doesn't sound like a good time.
My manager was an extremely narcissistic ENTJ and my supervisor an evil INTJ and ISTJ assistant. God I almost lost my mind I'm glad I quit. I can't believe I lasted a year. I'm telling you if you find out your boss is XNTJ you are 100% fucked.
So good. Well you have it as your demon function. I realize that as my friends and I get older, we start to really work on using our demon functions, sometimes to the point of it being out of balance with the savior functions (also not good). For a few years, I (INFP) was obsessed with trying to succeed in my career (demon Te), my ENFP friend formally started studying techniques for realistic painting (demon Si), and my ENTJ friend, who is great at career stuff, started to think a lot about his identity in context of the the current political climate (demon Fi. Basically he starts getting concerned about stuff that I've been primarily thinking about for my entire life). My INTJ friend is also into cooking and taking care of plants (demon Se), but he's been doing that for a while.
OH! This makes sense. I know exactly what I like and what I find interesting, but I struggle massively on actually growing, and planning it. I guess I need to find a partner to help me!

I'm an INTJ, and I have no problems with knowing and prioritizing what I want. I struggle mostly with energy levels and sensory stuff. I spend so many hours analyzing and planning stuff I want to achieve, but when it comes to interacting with the external world to make it happen, I get drained from mental energy so fast, it's frightening. Also, just having people and lots of impressions around me drains me hard. Listening to music and falling into Ni thought patterns every time I get outside the door helps me a lot when it comes to my energy levels. When it comes to analyzing a concept I want to understand better, I don't get exhausted. It's not unusual for me to having said less then 20 words in a day, and the rest just sitting and analyzing stuff I want to understand better. My analysis is also pretty intense. I just don't get tired by it at all. I think so much, and so intense, yet no energy is wasted from it. When I need to interact with people or sensory details however.. I get drained like crazy. It's pretty scary how quickly it disappears. Some people just wanna talk to you, but they don't realize how much energy they're pulling away from your soul. I can't blame them at all. They probably want to talk to me because I look either lonely, mysterious, or both. Their intention is fine, but it still hurts me somewhat. But hey, I probably "hurt" some people with my Fe trickster blind spot as well, so it's all good for everyone. I'm definitely cynical, and I'm definitely not valuing harmony, but I do try to be as kind as I can. I've just experienced people getting kinda uncomfortable with my sense of detachment, that's all. *Thanks for reading my close to useless rant. Have a nice day :')*

I have no problem interacting with the outer sensory world or making things happen concretely, but I absolutely suck at planning and "executing". I avoid it like crazy everyday. Prioritization is a hobby, knowing what I like more than other things is fun, external execution makes me run away with my tail between my legs. I'm in a family of ESFJ's and I drive their FE crazy. Meanwhile my differences and needs feel unfulfilled at times.
You might be an ISTP who is fascinated with your ni masterplanning but keep on analyzing more sensory things because you're scared that your Ni wont yet be waterproofed to let free n bloom. Perfectionism (demon Ni) + tribe hate (demon Fe) = Never ending reasoning (Ti) over the facts (Se).
Can you do a video on how ENTJs/INTJs can better prioritize their life. Without needing an ISFP prioritizer partner.. My partner is an Intp and he does well pointing out the logic and getting me to slow down.. but how can one think about it that would make an ENTJ more apt to prioritize and focus down to their one/two things
Prioritising and executing - my wife and I have a very similar dynamic (IP / EJ). She’s constantly trying to run around / do all the shit. I have to remind her to slow down and prioritise, otherwise she just runs herself in circles.
It sounds like ISFP folks look too on the surface for you. This description is not accurate, though. Especially when maturity comes. I am an ISFP and I am not as lost in time and space like this video describes. Besides knowing what we want and how to get there, ISFPs do make plans, and get them done properly. Long term plans can be more challenging though, but with the right sources it gets totally possible.
nice duality reference from socionics, idea of dualism is exactly that, you pair with other, opposite type and then in this relationship you mutually "exercise" your weak sides and work together in harmony

For the longest time I thought I am an INFP, but I really think I’m an ISFP. Now just to figure out if I’m Savior Fi-Se or Fi-Ni? If I think I have savior consume, would that be a good indication of savior Se? Id also like to know more about demon Te and how that shows up as a tidal wave. I know throughout my life, my main criticism from others, especially at jobs, was that I don’t take initiative. I also tend to get super overwhelmed by the things I have to do for others, and I can really beat myself up when I don’t get done as much as I want-which sounds like Te to me but don’t know if that’s savior or demon Te.

Drawing from Dave’s videos, this is how I believe he would answer that: IPs will focus more on the Identity vs. Tribe binary coin, while IJs will focus more on the Organize vs. Gather binary coin. So the FiNi ISFP will be calm about their observations and their observer functions, even though they prefer one over the other, that Ni/Se preference is only 60/40. But their decider functions, Fi/Te, are off by 90/10 so they’ll continue to struggle with what the Tribe wants while trying satisfy their Identity, who they are and what they want. That’s going to resurface over and over again as a life long problem. But for the NiFi INTJ it’s a very different life long problem. They’ll be calm about their decider functions because their Fi/Te is at 60/40, they know how to balance their decisions better. They don’t know how to balance their Ni/Se which is at 90/10. They will want to trust their hunches and the patterns they’ve found more than the face value of what’s right in front of them. So in short, the real difference is which binary coin the type can’t balance and therefore freaks out about all the time.

Plan and execute for what? Part of the reason why we like what we do is simply because we are heavily invested into what it is (immersed). Trying to make it into something like a job/business/plan makes it seem in genuine and now makes it seems like a whole another thing now, which wasn’t the main reason why we liked it in the first place. Which is why there isn’t a need to want to plan for it/“execute”. What’s wrong with liking something just to like it?
Noooo. Ni doesnt necessarily mean abstract. Ni is simply a use of intuition where the ISFP brings together everything they like/want and somehow makes a long-term foggy plan to make it all happen in the future. They aren't stuck on just one future and aren't working towards one goal. The ISFP knows there are many out comes and looks at plans like tree branches, not as a straight line but they will always go for what they want and like. They don't fall into something they never wanted to unexpectedly because they sort of choose where they want to be. So you can say Ni gives them the power of guessing really well. And no, not everything Ni or Ne means abstract/concepts etc. I can be riding my motorcycle and use Ni to sort of anticipate dangerous moves or running in the dark and use Ni to place good steps. A bit like Si.
I guess ISFP with demon Ni will most likely not prioritize their inside abstract world as much as gathering concrete facts from the outside world. It all really comes down to are you a gatherer or a organizer. With Ni demon they suck at organizing, planning, narrowing down and controlling the future. "Facts always change and you will never know what will happen so lets just keep on gathering and hope my Ni soon will be filled, organized and my plans will just take care of itself" - Ni demon "Let's just overdo my saviors and my demons will take care of itself." Jesus. Just take the time for your demon functions and get something done already. For allt hose who dont get what intuition is compared to sensing. I see it as a pussle. The sensory is every single piece and the whole puzzle is the intutition. So lets say you have half of the puzzlepieces (S) done. Then you can sort of guess what it will look like (N). But who knows right. Perhaps a chimpanzee is behind that bush
Welp, in my case it does. Im Ni/Fi (INTJ) and if you ask me what I like I'll tell you a lot of things like "reading" or "writing", "imagining", "learning this thing" and a very few sensor ones like "swimming" or "chocolate cake"
21Sandoval My INTP buddy and INFP both like to say they can see so many outcomes and branching path that it’s impossible to tell what’s going to happen. But as an INTJ I’m sitting here thinking I can see all those branching paths to, but I can trim the fat and bring it down to one or two paths. It’s very possible to tell what’s going to happen even if you IxxP’s don’t think it is. And us Ni folk can see everything you guys can to. (Not insulting, sorry if it comes off aggressively.)

(ISFP here) Fi dom is good to a certain degree. I know what I want but a lot of what I want requires me to use my inferior Te and Ni TO GET what I want, which is difficult.

Anyone can use any function! You're not "stuck" as a low Te user! It only takes practice regardless of how difficult it is.

I spend so many hours analyzing and planning stuff I want to achieve, but when it comes to interacting with the external world to make it happen, I get drained from mental energy so fast, it's frightening. Also, just having people and lots of impressions around me drains me hard. Listening to music and falling into Ni thought patterns every time I get outside the door helps me a lot when it comes to my energy levels. When it comes to analyzing a concept I want to understand better, I don't get exhausted. It's not unusual for me to having said less then 20 words in a day, and the rest just sitting and analyzing stuff I want to understand better. My analysis is also pretty intense. I just don't get tired by it at all. I think so much, and so intense, yet no energy is wasted from it.
When I need to interact with people or sensory details however.. I get drained like crazy. It's pretty scary how quickly it disappears. Some people just wanna talk to you, but they don't realize how much energy they're pulling away from your soul. I can't blame them at all. They probably want to talk to me because I look either lonely, mysterious, or both. Their intention is fine, but it still hurts me somewhat. But hey, I probably "hurt" some people with my Fe trickster blind spot as well, so it's all good for everyone. I'm definitely cynical, and I'm definitely not valuing harmony, but I do try to be as kind as I can. I've just experienced people getting kinda uncomfortable with my sense of detachment, that's all. *Thanks for reading my close to useless rant. Have a nice day :')*
Bright Waves of Darkness This is amazing, I'm an ISFP and it's almost the opposite for me. I have no problem interacting with the outer sensory world or making things happen concretely, but I absolutely suck at planning and "executing". I avoid it like crazy everyday. Or, I can plan things in my head all I want but when it comes to really analyzing it goes to shit. I think I'm an Fi-Ni type ISFP.

Prioritization is a hobby, knowing what I like more than other things is fun, external execution makes me run away with my tail between my legs. I'm in a family of ESFJ's and I drive their FE crazy. Meanwhile my differences and needs feel unfulfilled at times.
You might be an ISTP who is fascinated with your ni masterplanning but keep on analyzing more sensory things because you're scared that your Ni wont yet be waterproofed to let free n bloom. Perfectionism (demon Ni) + tribe hate (demon Fe) = Never ending reasoning (Ti) over the facts (Se).

Prioritising and executing - my wife and I have a very similar dynamic (IP / EJ). She’s constantly trying to run around / do all the shit. I have to remind her to slow down and prioritise, otherwise she just runs herself in circles.

It sounds like ISFP folks look too on the surface for you. This description is not accurate, though. Especially when maturity comes. I am an ISFP and I am not as lost in time and space like this video describes. Besides knowing what we want and how to get there, ISFPs do make plans, and get them done properly. Long term plans can be more challenging though, but with the right sources it gets totally possible.

For the longest time I thought I am an INFP, but I really think I’m an ISFP. Now just to figure out if I’m Savior Fi-Se or Fi-Ni? If I think I have savior consume, would that be a good indication of savior Se? Id also like to know more about demon Te and how that shows up as a tidal wave. I know throughout my life, my main criticism from others, especially at jobs, was that I don’t take initiative. I also tend to get super overwhelmed by the things I have to do for others, and I can really beat myself up when I don’t get done as much as I want-which sounds like Te to me but don’t know if that’s savior or demon Te.

Drawing from Dave’s videos, this is how I believe he would answer that: IPs will focus more on the Identity vs. Tribe binary coin, while IJs will focus more on the Organize vs. Gather binary coin.
So the FiNi ISFP will be calm about their observations and their observer functions, even though they prefer one over the other, that Ni/Se preference is only 60/40. But their decider functions, Fi/Te, are off by 90/10 so they’ll continue to struggle with what the Tribe wants while trying satisfy their Identity, who they are and what they want. That’s going to resurface over and over again as a life long problem.
But for the NiFi INTJ it’s a very different life long problem. They’ll be calm about their decider functions because their Fi/Te is at 60/40, they know how to balance their decisions better. They don’t know how to balance their Ni/Se which is at 90/10. They will want to trust their hunches and the patterns they’ve found more than the face value of what’s right in front of them.
So in short, the real difference is which binary coin the type can’t balance and therefore freaks out about all the time.

Plan and execute for what? Part of the reason why we like what we do is simply because we are heavily invested into what it is (immersed). Trying to make it into something like a job/business/plan makes it seem in genuine and now makes it seems like a whole another thing now, which wasn’t the main reason why we liked it in the first place. Which is why there isn’t a need to want to plan for it/“execute”. What’s wrong with liking something just to like it?
So if FiSes know what they like in the physical world, do FiNis know what they like in the abstract world?

Noooo. Ni doesnt necessarily mean abstract. Ni is simply a use of intuition where the ISFP brings together everything they like/want and somehow makes a long-term foggy plan to make it all happen in the future. They aren't stuck on just one future and aren't working towards one goal. The ISFP knows there are many out comes and looks at plans like tree branches, not as a straight line but they will always go for what they want and like. They don't fall into something they never wanted to unexpectedly because they sort of choose where they want to be. So you can say Ni gives them the power of guessing really well.
And no, not everything Ni or Ne means abstract/concepts etc. I can be riding my motorcycle and use Ni to sort of anticipate dangerous moves or running in the dark and use Ni to place good steps. A bit like Si.
I guess ISFP with demon Ni will most likely not prioritize their inside abstract world as much as gathering concrete facts from the outside world. It all really comes down to are you a gatherer or a organizer. With Ni demon they suck at organizing, planning, narrowing down and controlling the future.

21Sandoval My INTP buddy and INFP both like to say they can see so many outcomes and branching path that it’s impossible to tell what’s going to happen. But as an INTJ I’m sitting here thinking I can see all those branching paths to, but I can trim the fat and bring it down to one or two paths. It’s very possible to tell what’s going to happen even if you IxxP’s don’t think it is. And us Ni folk can see everything you guys can to.

(ISFP here) Fi dom is good to a certain degree. I know what I want but a lot of what I want requires me to use my inferior Te and Ni TO GET what I want, which is difficult.
