Slab to Cab - Green Mystery Rock from Deming NM

This slab came from a rock I found near Deming New Mexico. It has a nice color and interesting pattern. Will it make a beautiful cabochon?

I'm curious why you left that large flat spot in the center of the stone? You did get a nice polish on it though.

I was going for a different look. Normally I do prefer a completely rounded top, which of course helps with polish. I could have done a better job with it but overall I was happy with the result. Thanks for watching!
