The "windmill scene" has given me a big rekindle into discovering and enjoying music. Very excited for this new album. The American band Geese has their debut album coming out soon that I highly reccomend looking out for. Their newest single, Projector, is insane.

I know by now you probably already noticed but, 9:50 the whole lyric is sang before "in time you will find these things take up space inside your mind" and I feel like the repetition with the "these things take up" is to evoke the feeling that, those things already did take up space, enough for us to be unable to end the sentence. Honestly to me this was really great wordplay

You should check out illuminati hotties - Let Me Do One More. Also BRASS by Billy Woods and Moor Mother. Both polar opposites, but plenty to say about what it is the music offers culturally, and it’s generations of sound existing within this day and age. Big fan of the channel 🔥

I though the metal hand was a reference to a soldier's prosthetic but now I see it might be the toy model of the marine itself. That might work if we learn an ant's perspective is in any way thematic to the album.

So the Chaos Space Marine character is basically the ultimate postmodern neoliberal fantasy. A very powerful individual who is not bound by any higher codes, beliefs or morals. Powerful but also lost. Seems like it fits the themes of the first record.

    D&D is better!
also some phoebe bridgers quotes in their first album, "sing in an english accent, well i guess, it'S too late to change it now"

this dichotomy between "overly technical" music and emotional music is a false one, music can be extremely technical and still be very emotional and passionate and sentimental and it can also be very simple and raw but lack emotion and be dull, these things are not correlated and assuming they are can be pretty reductive imo. I find this new bcnr song way duller than anything they or black midi have ever done before despite being more simple and poppier, for example
