The other matchmaking oddity in the game is that in a T10 battle, more often than not, you seem to end up with 1 or 2 T8 ships and almost no T9 ships. Why they throw in a couple random T8s in that sort of match makes zero sense.

Los Andes is ridiculous. In one of the Ranked games an enemy LA melted my Alaska, a Johan XIV and a Alsace. He almost carried the entire game with only his secondaries (as his aim was poor).

Honestly? Good. I need a ship I can 1v6 with in Ranked, because you know damn well I'm not getting teammates that have an IQ above freezing.
Don't worry when those will go to F2P players WG will nerf them ...
Remember Schlieffen? They nerffed the secondary DPM after the early acess is over. It is going to come man, maybe they will reverse the manuverbility buff or something.
yup, they are giving us this OP ship hoping players will pay to buy the line with dubs, then as it comes into the TT they will nerf it like so many other ships in the past.
@@joedoe6444 Exactly, they added the manuverbility buff the last minute before they release them into early access.
I mean the nerf came a couple of months after release, that's enough time to realize the ship was slightly to powerful, where on paper it really shouldn't have been that powerful. The nerf to Schlieffen also seems to have been more so to put it in line with the rest of the tech tree, as Rupprecht already had a 7.5s reload on it's 150mm guns and 3.4s reload on it's 105mm guns, as well as to not have the new BCs fully replace the main line BBs.
Like I'm not saying this line won't get nerfed, just at the moment, I'm not overly seeing the reason to nerf them. They seem very high risk high reward ships, that if played passively from the back lines you will do very poorly, and given the T10 has a nice little shelf to punish kiting, they aren't likely going to be as strong as they feel now once the player base understands more of how to deal with them, and when the majority of players sit back at 20km spamming HE out of them.
They only nerfed Schlieffen's secondary DPM by... 6%..... they almost never actually nerf EA ships after they release from testing. It's only happened.... I think just once with Schlieffen? Maybe I can't remember back far enough, but it's rare. Libertad and the T8/9 might receive a slight nerf, but it won't be much.
Reminds me of the Agincourt, terrible Guns, no AA but extrem melting secondaries

The random battles meta is extremely passive, this tech line is very needed.
16:55 my personal experience is that for the last few months, the super ships no longer mirror flanks anymore.
All those whining as tier 9 vs 11 while tier 10 smashes 8, 9 smashes 7, and 8 is mobbing 6...
Tier 9 was the all time anti low ship tier, as there only was +1 and -2. Now they get THE SAME deal as every other tier except 10 and suddenly it is a problem... yeah sure.
Don't change it for superships, change it for all tiers. +1 and -1. Problem solved for all
I've got them and played a fair few battles now. They're good but not as OP as everyone is suggesting - I do better with a Schleiffen most of the time as having torps and hydro really affects how players try and deal with you.
I think giving them the Russian BB mechanic where they're only accurate at close range is all they really need to have a fun and balanced line.
If you kite in them you WILL eat citadels by the way - with the big flat ass (especially Libertad) they hoover up massive damage from behind.
Secondary ships need to have the means to be able to push and be effective for the risk they take. It’s not “overpowered” to have the capacity to be rewarded for your risks. That in itself is balance. What you have now with the German bbs is you have already an underperforming line that requires pushing and secondaries to do damage in a meta where you are punished if you want to push in. That is just crappy balancing on WG.
I feel the same way about super ships.
Carriers, subs, and super ships are ruining the games with unfun unfair bullshit. Spawning T9 vs super ships is the cherry on top.

Just a few things.
The spawns are a mess and having divs in games makes it worse as well. You can still get subs spawning on different sides too.
Also the 2 tier MM is bad in general. T9s vs SS is horrible but so is a T7 vs a T9. The difference is too big between 2 tiers

These are so busted it's unreal. Armour is stupid good secondaries are broken and the guns are fantastic, dont forget that its extremely nimble. This and the ten can just sit at a slight angle and let its secondaries farm everything in sight

Not being able to brawl is mostly a T10/T9 thing...and one of the reasons I play far more T7 these days...

It's absolutely not a zany crazy nutty conspiracy theory that MM is "rigged" to make sure to provide incentive to spend money and move up the ranks. If you really wanna rabbit hole, track your win/loss ratio and streaks vs tier and friendly teammate stats using xvm or whatever the wows version is. Obviously impossible to actually prove, but there's some hijinks goin on when trends are compared between 45-50% and 55-60% players. A 60+% player who's on a 70-80% win streak starts getting some fucking hilarious team comps and 20 battle long bottom tier streaks. Purposeful balance mechanic or incompetent coding? You decide.
As far as balance, as long as they're ACTUALLY balanced with downsides and playstyles, I agree that situationally OP ships can be effectively balanced. If it burns down at long range or can't hit shit when sniping, that's the trade. Is it working? Who knows.
T9 facing super ships is the equivalent of T7s having to deal with Jean Bart, Georgia, Musashi and so many more other overpowered ships at T9. It’s bad everywhere. Weegee should’ve limited the matchmaking to +/- 1 tier a long time ago.
My experience with Los Andes so far, OP in Ranked, but I don't think it is in Random, just because you have to push in to do anything. In a CV game, if CV playing on your flank, you are not doing anything until CV leaves you alone. When you are not top tier, you don't have the range to get close enough to compete with T10/11s.
PQ is obviously extremely good, but lets be honest, most of time, first game should have ended with Iowa killing him, and he gets a 130k game with half of the ships on each side still in the game. Good game, but probably not great game being top tier by PQ standard. He showed the ship can carry a flank, but you have no control over outcomes of the other 2 flanks in Random.
I actually think, this line is OK for Random, situational, and after the hype dies down, not many people will play it in Random.
Unless of course, T11 comes out with a 20km secondaries F key lol
These ships are basically P2W for ranked right now. If you are a dumb-dumb, you just be a nuisance by staying alive no matter how bad you play. If you are half competent and know the basics, you just carry your team. If you are a unicum, you can almost solo entire flanks and steamroll the match in ranked.
Tier 9 is dead for me on EU :( I played at different times and I needed 16 Games to see 1 Match with Tier 7 Ships. I was always the Tier 9 in a full Tier X or Supership Lobby.
what if they pull IX's to super games but for a different reason? i mean credit's. you get best income as premium IX against supers... and Wargaming prioritizing premium ship buyers over "free kills" for super users for me is a viable thing
This is my opinion ...this is the worst design for pushing in randoms they have given the ship all the tools to be awful to push in to but none of the tools to push no radar no hydro bad main guns dds are what's stopping pushing they spot you and fill you with torps if wg gave us ....say a russian BB with quad 180mm turrets and radar / hydro/ both wed see some aggressive guys trying getting close to smash a DD clearing the path could be totally wrong
Your first battle was very funny. Very low HP and no heal. I may wait and grind this ship. The superships and tier 9 isn't fun. It is why I stopped playing random with tier 9s.

Its kinda said that no1 is mentioning how strongly pay2win this update is with new ships that are crazy op and only for cash and a op commander that you can maybe get after opening tons of containers for festive tokens. Wg covering this up nicely with all the free anniversary stuff.
Wargaming needs to make these boats more realistic and have more skill / equipments. Most ships have sonar and radar. It’s ridiculous limiting the ships.
Stumbled upon 2 of these in ranked. They have no superstructure, they are super tanky and they fire all directions. They are borderline comical.
WG always do this... bring out a new line that is op in early access then nerf them in the tech tree. They need to nerf supercarriers in my opinion. I see a SCV i usually just ram the first enemy ship i see and suicide. Immensely op but WG don't care

To make superships a little more rare why don't they add an requirement form them like play at least 200games on the tier10 ship that comes befor so people at least have some understanding of the ship they gonna play
Seems everyone is crying out for the status quo, to keep the same meta as we had for years. This comes along and can push, without dying after 5 seconds and everyone lose their shit.
The t9s spawning against t11 on the other side is not only a supership thing. It is stupid wg matchmaker who spawns strong ships vs. vs low tier ships probably part oif the griefing strat gg wg

It’s just a mediocre ship. 8 guns with meh accuracy and terrible armour. It’s okay, decent even, but it’s frustrating to play in my experience.
Easy break its guns they are fairly weak
Some players bring this ship to Brawn , and looks very fragile. They are deleted in early battle, some players keep hide until end of match🤣
I have seen this ship in Brawls. Don´t forget about brawls PQ, very fun mode with no Super Ships or CV and Sub cancer.
never thought Id be jealous of a battleships mobility and acceleration as a DD main. This thing accelerates almost twice as fast as any DD i own

These are not overpowered in the slightest. They take huge HE chunk damage. A Cleveland can farm this thing to death. Their armor is weird in that it’s high enough to bounce high caliber AP but low enough to get penned by 203+mm. 303+mm HE absolutely wrecks these things. You easily can take 10k+ salvos and lose a 1/5 of your hp in an instant

+ they're super vulnerable to any form of SAP ship because of the armour scheme, I've taken a 26k SAP salvo from a columbo while I was angled against him
Oh there armour is broken, they are weak to he just like.any battleship, it's there only weakness. I pitty the cruiser within it's secondary range or destroyer. This ship sitting at a slight angle auto bounces pretty much every ap shell thrown at it

Forget the secondaries, the armor is straight up Kremlin levels of OP. Getting full pens or god forbid citadels on these things even flat broadside is nearly impossible. This ship is genuinely designed for bot players so they can perform
Removing the F key and giving them a speed that would fit such Dreadnoughts would be the sane move. But nope, the have to make german BBs irrelevant... Guess WG wants to drain our elite captain XP cause not many have lots of high level Pan-Am captains.

Limiting it to 1 of each type would still be a theoretical max of 4, but i dont think its unreasonable
im a little not sure to trust PQ on this one because he said bungo and wisconsin is weak, then i and the other players proved him wrong.
In his latest Bungo video he says it's one of his favorites. Yes, his first impressions weren't good with Bungo. At this time he's had many matches with these ships though so they're not first impressions anymore.
Those were first impression videos. Pq is human and maybe a bit too critical at times but that's OK because he is very good at this game and teaches a lot about how to play the game
Torps are too strong. They do wayyyy too much damage.
