First heard this song over 25 years ago when my grandfather died. Was playing in the car the night before the funeral and it started to snow in Charleston, SC. First real snowfall and there was never a snowstorm again like it. Almost like he brought the snow -- I was 6 years old and always wanted to build a snowman and he knew that. :) thx for the snow grand pop!!!
Brandon Rivers Never knew my granddad, still this story speaks to me of the love you had for him and how simple things like snow falling can make us remember the ones that loved us and made us who we are. 6 or 600, the greatest thing is love, and he will forever be in your heart. Admitting your wrongs, apologizing, etc. is such a great quality to have (In my eyes) anyone who hurt a man/woman & can look him/her in the eyes & apologize is so meaningful to me! Major "turn on", means everything to me, sweet, & I could go on. I'm a very forgiving person, if someone can apologize & really mean it, it's very difficult for me not to "forgive him/her". May not "forget", but I'm a very forgiving person.

What a beautiful & wonderful song, one of 38 Special's very best & a favorite of mine. --[1] Over the past 17 years, we have seen 38 Special about 10 times or so. Every time that they play this song or a part of this song, the audience happily reacts with ooohs, aaahs, & applause. --[2] Don Carlisi's lead guitar solos are so well integrated, well performed, & tasteful. He is such a pro. --[3] 30 years ago, we played this song in our New Orleans area cover band. This song was a pleasure to play. Richard

It's Jeff Carlisi and Don Barnes. Carlisi played most of their guitar lead chops while Barnes was the primary lead vocalist, with Donnie Van Zant singing some lead and mostly harmonies. Max Karl is the singer on this beautiful ballad. Oddly, with all of their great songs this is their highest rated hit. Max has been a member of Grand Funk for several years now. .38 Special is one of my favorite bands.

I haven’t heard this song since I was a teenager and I’m almost 52 years old now. When it came up on my Facebook feed and listened to it, it brought back so many memories and I started crying. My father died 12/12/2021 and this song reminds me of him. I love you dad! ❤️

This cut will last forever. Clean and timeless. Gave me another perspective of the king of pop. Memories of a time that's with me throughout eternity

I love listening to 80s music to take me back to that time. There was just so much good music, so many talented musician's.
We weren't fighting any wars the economy was doing well after the Jimmy Carter era. It was almost a magical time. From the comments I've read on this post I see others share the emotional connection to this song that I feel. Good to know I have kindred spirits.

As a musician, certain sounds make me stop and say "what is that!", and leave a lasting impression forever. Such was the case with the instrumental, "SLEEPWALK" (Santo & Johnny), and for many years this 38 SPECIAL. tune. Very tasteful riffing and a killer tone.
I swear, I heard this over the weekend at work, and it brought me back to my childhood. Suddenly I remembered a song I hadn't heard in 25 years it seems. All the words and everything. Gave me chills.

The power of music brings joy,pain, laughter and death with sometimes good and heartbreaking memories 70's,80's and half of the 90's era of music is the time when music and the lyrics were pure and real blessed are those from that era.
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I don't know any other song by .38 Special. None! The first time I heard this song I fell in love with it, but I don't know anything about the band at all.

Wow for 2 weeks now all day everyday the song has been stuck in my head . This is the first time I listen to the lyrics . It's interesting because I broke up with a guy it's been almost 2 years he cheated on me and I kicked him out of the house and never turned back and he's been trying to get back together with me for 2 years but there's no way I'm going to do it .. so this is got to be about him . It's weird how songs get stuck in your head. I can't take somebody back after they cheat on me. I just cannot ever feel comfortable again and at peace. I see them differently . It's the ultimate betrayal . Don't do it to people. People look at you like you're a stranger . It feels like the person is a stranger.

I love this song, but it brings back such a painful time in my life when in August 1989 the love of my life walked out. I've long since gotten on with my life, but some things still "hurt" It toke me 2 years to get over that )-: And to this day she is still the love of my life
