Kampot was a very sleepy town not very long ago until the Sihanoukville was taken over by Chinese development and push all of the expats moving to Kampot Town.. You can also visit the Bokor National Park which is about 30 Kilometers away but it's worth to visit if you have a time to enjoy the overlooking Golf of Thailand from the mountain top. The winding roads up there is breath taking with low cloud and cool weather. If you are lucky, you can see some wild animals along the ways up to the top. Happy travels!

Many expats seem to think so from what I hear from several others too. > It's cheap comfortable low stress living with warm weather and no winters ? What's not to like ? Huh ? -- Perhaps state of the art medical care for serious issues is lacking ? -- Distant easy transportation is missing & no nearby airport can be had. Train bus van or taxis are about it ! Can't be in a hurry. -- A place worthy of a visit and seemingly a great experience. Very nice place yet I think I prefer Siem Reap to spend most of my time with more available. 😀
Yeah Kampot and Siem Reap are such great expat destinations. Both are so chill and easy. Siem Reap did have really good street food and bar scene and of course has the historic sites though. Thanks for watching! 😊
