Honestly so true. The closest anyone comes is Queenie's character from Harry Potter's Fantastic Beasts series. And even then, the actress is nothing like her.

marush yeah I know all that.. I meant everything about her.. her personality too. Not the fake persona..she created that dumb blonde character. There’s just something about her that I don’t see in other people. Personal opinion.

marush I’ve seen all of these pictures. I’ve been a fan since I was 14. I’ve seen the pictures before her surgeries too. I’m only comparing her to modern actresses today. Not every woman on the planet. Again it’s my personal opinion.

Exactly, Reginald. You have to be very smart to be able to do a parody of yourself, and yet it’s still her unique sexually-charged charm - and the comedic timing with her priceless facial expressions, yes, it takes real intellect and savvy!
I love that Marilyn - one the one hand, we know out of any man’s reach - always allowed us to think she’d like us!

God damn she was amazing and yet she thought so little of herself... goes to show how our inner thoughts and what ppl close to us say to us, about us, can wreak havoc on our self-esteem and how we see ourselves. She was absolute perfection but saw herself as a fraud, as if she had somejow convinced ppl she was an actor and shed be found out at any minute when she was an amazing actress who more than deserved her name in lights. It kills me that she never saw herself in true light. I will never believe she killed herself purposely or accidentally. Her death was due to someone else and its heart breaking that only she and a few ppl truly know what happen that night.

this is a great example of marilyn's comedic timing and overall acting ability. she even slipped in a 'dumb blonde' joke that seemed to be missed by everyone at the end. 'cinnamon scope'

Funny she was the complete opposite of this character. She was a BIG NERD. Love her very much.

I don’t know what it is, but I can’t think of anyone through history more beautiful than Marilyn Monroe.

One of Jack's character traits, in addition to his "cheapness", "lousy violin playing" and his supposed age of "39", was that he also considered himself a "ladies' man". That's demonstrated here- but only in a FANTASY could he ever get "that close" to Marilyn Monroe! He later said her performance in this sketch was "wonderful"...

I like how his voice cracks after she speaks of him chartering the ship for $600,000.

She adored Jack Benny. He was 33 years older than her and happily married, but if he were single, I think she would have dated him. He was funny and the most popular man on the planet.

For the duration of that brief, lighthearted sketch, Jack Benny was the luckiest man in the world.

je suis impressionnée par son jeux d'acteurs qu'elle retiend, elle a un énorme potentiel qui aurait pu être mis en valeur en France à la même époque.

I am her fan from India ,I find her very fascinating❤️ someone who belongs to a different world ,she looks like a Doll ,I m so very much inspired by her dat I have dyed my hair to blonde ,I have seen all of her movies for more than 50 times atleast ,I wish if I had seen her once , if she was alive she would have been of my grandmother's age somewhere around 80 I guess ❤️ God has been so unfair , I have seen so many videos of her ,her few interviews she seemed to be so natural, calm ,good ,softspoken ,sorted not even once I found her arrogant , throwing attitude or tantrums ,she greeted fans so nicely always laughing ,smiling, cheering , doing her things so well but wat happened? wat happened on that fatal black night wen she left us ☹️

If you compare MM's performance here with Mansfield's in the same sketch, Monroe I think is clearly better. Much more vitality and overdone style.

I agree. I never really how talented of a comedic actress Marilyn was until I saw the Jayne Mansfield version of this sketch. It doesn't even come close to this one.

That's why Billy Wilder (Some like it hot) denied Mansfield for the role and said she was good for truckers ;)
