    • @rickg5597
      @rickg5597 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, but seeing it in real time while viewing it from behind often makes the play seem worse especially if it’s your teammate that falls hard against the boards. Announcers are lost since they didn’t catch it on the replay.

    • @violetbluejay
      @violetbluejay 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think there was intent, but there's a lot of ways it could have been avoided. And keep in mind this happened *after* Ryan Graves had already left the game from (I believe) a high elbow in the first period. Avs essentially lost two of their top four defenseman to avoidable hits in this game, and against a team that is frankly irrelevant to the post season to boot.

      Marchand and Lucic would do these sort of things all the time throughout the 2010’s. Yes, it was intentional, and yes, it’s supposed to look like it’s not. Even before the collision, you can audibly hear Avs teammates yelling “move!” at Girard, because Lebanc is coming in hot. Do not take that out of context.

      I will agree Lebanc did have zero ill intent however he did under cut Girard's legs with his backside momentum when he decided to corral the puck and go back to back as Girard had already turned, if he was going in to challenge like that he should of just took Girard to the boards which is what Girard was expecting. It was definitely a fast play and split second decision that ended up unfortunate for both players though.

      @barrie22 Well when someone is right on you when you're both going for the puck then yea you're bound to make more mistakes than if you're skating on your own... I guess you've never played hockey before lol. Yes Girard stumbles but Labanc's slight nudge with his backside easily sent him harder into the boards and he wasn't expecting it. You're arguing a point from watching it in slow mo. You can't judge a play in slow motion since that's not how it actually happened in real time. Again it's not a dirty play, just two guys going for the puck

    • @newa0nn

      Nate doesn't like talking to the press. Landy always steps up for an interview in the event of a big loss. Represents the organization thru thick & thin. That's why Landy gets the C. Judging from how MacK acted when Mikko got an A this year, he'd rather have Mikko or Landy wear the C over him.

    I don't get all these "good for MacKinnon" comments. Maybe it's good for MacKinnon for some reason, i don't know what's good in it though. But it's definitely bad for Colorado. Exchange a player of 90+ points caliber for a player of 40+ caliber and getting additional 2 min penalty is anything but 'good'

    • @JamesIvan79

    Nice land there BIG MACK! If the referees don't do something about the excessive intent to injure division rivals to bench star players, then Big Mack & Landy will take it into their own hands. Different dynamic within the division, this year. Only see the same 7-8 teams all season then the top 4 duke it out in the first round of the post season. You think the NHL would have the sense to anticipate these hostilities.
