Everytime I watch one of these episodes I stay for the entire duration! That says alot in the world of 5-10 minute gear reviews this channel is on a whole different level! I appreciate all that you are doing and will share this with my creative community to help you grow! I have my own channel but it is nothing compared to this and you are truly an inspiration.
I actually started adapting CY mount lenses on Fuji with my old Yashica ML 50/f2.0. Those Yashica ML lenses are surprisingly good and you can have them for 1/4 of the prices of their Contax Zeiss brothers.
For the price they are great lenses, but their prices are creeping up. As someone who uses a full frame camera, I was looking for a small set 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and a 135mm.
@@talesbyvlad I did, even those are now going up in price. 35mm f2.4 Flek is now £100+, and the 50mm f1.8 Pan is £150+. I found a alternative though, that's just as good...the "tapered" Chinon's, I got a 28mm f2.8, 35mm f2.8 and a 135mm f2.8 for under £75. They are also sold under the Alpa brand, but costs between £200 to £300 each.

Thank you much for this! When it comes to camera gear I’m always trying to find something good and useful to share with you guys
Good informative video about great vintage lenses! Contax Zeiss lenses are some of the best ones
They also considered to be optically close to Legendary Zeiss Supper Speed Cinema Lenses
I had both the 50mm f/1.7 and 50mm f/1.4. I picked up the f/1.4 because it has a much better minimum focus and sharpness wasn't that different.

@@jguo very interesting! I’m gonna have to check them out. Thanks for the recommendation
I’ve never heard about Contax Zeiss lenses but your video made me think they are good for video and I also want to try them for photography
Thank you! Contax Zeiss lenses are fantastic for video and photography. You should definitely try them out
I have 50mm 1,7 planar and 28mm distagon. They are awesome😍😍. That 50mm bounches target out of picture🤪🤪👍👌💪 nice 3d feeling!

Totally agree with you about prices. Even cheaper ones are selling much higher now than they used to. You should also check out Carl Zeiss Jena Lenses
