Cannot wait for the whole series man, i really liked those machines. Used to have a Philips VG back then, i do not know if any other European manufacturer have joined that Japanese consortium. Keep it UP!

Well done, you got yourself a nice MSX 1. These systems were usualy built really well like you said, and it shows all that was wrong was a disconected cable. The prices of these are just going up and up. I would love to get me a MSX 2 at some stage but I think I'd have to sell the house to be able to afford it ;)

Hi Peter, you're right i guess, MSX 2 prices are sky high and only 'faulty' ones can be found in reasonable prices (maybe),
The thing is those to be as faulty as this one :-) so, we can have an easy fix! Cheers mate!

Hey Fixer, thanks for dropping in! Sounds like you did a great job with that cable already! Smell comes over the years when humidity and dust go hand in hand 😀I know how it is ! Thank you for watching and keep it up with saving retro gems!

Hello! I have a sanyo MPC-100 but at the blue screen it gives me 143 bytes free only. What I can do?

It is a good thing that can initialize with much less memory detected. Try to re-sit the ram chip/CPU and whatever comes in sockets - then what is left is to replace some ram chips. The best way to test them is "piggy-backing" one-by-one! Thank you for watching!

@@CyberhugTechnologies thanks to you. Which ram IC I have to choose? I have some spare Commodore 64 ram chips....

@@CyberhugTechnologies I piggybacked all ram ICs (I used C64 RAM ic, they are compatible) but no results. I'll check the traces. Have you got a board schematics?
