Toor Dal - 4 Tbsp(add 1/2 tsp jeera & pinch of turmeric to it and cook in cooker to fine paste)
Tamarind - 1 gooseberry size
Ingredients for grinding sambar masala:
1. Toor dal - 1 tsp
2. Channa dal - 1 tsp
3. Compounded hing - 2 pinches
4. Coriander Seeds - 1 tbsp
5. Jeera - 1/2 tbp
6. Pepper - 1/4 tbsp
7. Methi seeds - 10 nos.
8. Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
9. Byadagi Chillies - 8 nos.
10. Spicy Chillies - 2 nos.
11. Curry Leaves - 6 nos.
12. Fresh Coconut Pieces/Grating - 3 Tbsp
Jaggery - 2 Tbsp
Salt To Taste
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Onion - 2 nos.
Tomato - 1 no.
Coriander Leaves
