I just got major chest surgery I am 18yrs young and I just found this song 😅 I was in the surgery room getting anesthesia and one of the surgeons asked me who my favorite artists is and I replied Jim Morrison but I guess he thought he heard me say van Morrison so to comfort my nerves he just played this song on his cellphone and placed it next to my ear and it was one of the best songs I heard sometimes life hits you unexpectedly and that’s when you gotta just roll with the punches and have faith in gods plan I woke up today not knowing this song, yet I now am laying in bed recovering listening to it ❤ god is good and god bless these surgeons 😁
Can’t believe I am over 50 and never heard this beautiful, brilliant, moving, powerful and gentle song before. Now I too owe you, Mr. Morrison - tks for the uplifting vibes. 🙏
There’s no one single artist I can give credit for my life to but Van Morrison. I am not a weirdo, not a stalker just a HUGE FAN. He saved my life with his music. Literally. That little Walkman and one cassette of his music. Forever grateful. Still listening and I’ll be 59 next month. His music will live forever in my heart. Thank you ❤
I discovered Van Morrison while struggling through grief and depression. I heard "Bright Side Of The Road" and I was drawn. Life saver, this man Morrison.

I just moved into my own apartment in an Assisted Living Facility that is the best place I've ever lived in my life after 5 month's in a homeless shelter, before that a mental hospital and before that, a hell hole of nursing home for 4 years during the COVID lockdown. I also moved from Illinois to Indiana away from the violence in Chicago to a college town that has great people and that was a good thing. The only thing I have worry about is falling in love with one of these pretty young CNAs and getting my heart broken. I listen to this song everyday and wonder if I'm dreaming... Be well sir and take it easy for the rest of your life and listen to this every day when you wake up. Tupelo Honey is good too if you miss someone from the past.
Van Morrison's musics touches my heart like no other. A few years back, I had a job that made me miserable. Every morning in the car, I listened to this song to put me in a more positive frame of mind. It reminded me that despite my unhappiness, today could end up being a "day like this" where everything falls into place beautifully and I actually feel some joy in what I'm doing. It helped my attitude, and contributed to me being able to survive a tough time in my life.
My dog was with me from a pup to six years old. He has gone to sleep now and I miss him so much. There are days like this when I feel sad that nothing I do makes me feel happy without him by my side. He loved me unconditionally, protected me and brought so much love to my family. Listening to this song I know there will be days like this when I will start to feel happy again.
Time heals all things that hurts us now. Take strength from the words on the song. The memory of your lovely dog will live on forever. Remembering the time with him helps heal the hurt. God bless.
The album Days Like This is one of Vans best. After releasing some of the greatest music of the 1960’s-70’s-80’s, he kept the groove going in the 90’s. The last song on the record, Ancient Highway is a meditation and a reflection of growing up in and around Belfast. Incredible song that few people are familiar with.
Being from northern Ireland I lived overseas for about 15 years and whenever I felt homesick I put on van Morrison and closed my eyes and his voice took me home 🥰
I've always appreciated Van. Such a distinctive voice. I've found myself listening to him more since dad took his last breath earlier this year. Van Morrison is still underrated.
Been having a bad season mixed up with some good news too, then I incidentally bumped into this song, and since then, whenever I listen to it, my soul lightens up. This is not the first time that one of his songs get me started again, and feeling like "YES! I CAN DO IT!! Whatever he touches, he turns to gold. Wow... I am thrilled ❤ Thank you so much Van Morrison for your music ❤🙏
Eternally grateful for Van the Man. Grew up dancing on my daddy's toes to all of his albums. Lost my Dad 5 years ago, but every song has memories for me of me and my Mom and Dad together, and now my children are growing up with Grandpa's music! Keep on keeping on Van! Love you!
So my daddy took me to see van morrison when I was 15 . Wow what a concert it was. Sadly he's not here now and I'm 46 and there never be days like those again .. but will always be happy memories
One of the most beautiful and uplifting songs ever which I never tire of hearing. With so much anger and argument surrounding us it is so good to simply reflect on the wonder of the world in all its majesty and the joy of friends that make our lives worth living. If you read this today why not give thanks - whether you believe there is a God or not.
I'm listening to Van as my whole family love him, my brother introduced me to him about 50 odd years ago. The tears are now flowing. As my youngest daughter, passed away on Van the Mans birthday. I feel for everyone who has lost someone to young. Yes all angles❤❤
This is one of my dad's all time favorite tracks, the lyrics remind me of my mother, and today is Father's day. That's what brought me here. Never used to understand Van Morrison's music as my dad played his tunes while growing up, but now that I'm a grown man with a family of my own, it all makes sense. Van Morrison is one of those musical prophets who were gifted to humanity to speak to a generation or few.

Modern love bought me here also! It brings back memories of the relationship that introduced me to Van Morrison....it didn't last but loving his music did! Sweet sweet melody....there will be days like this!
I have been waiting and waiting for season 2, and it could not be more perfect since I’ve lost my husband and I’m healing and the song is perfect for me at this time. Today was rough. This no accident that I just saw this. It’s synchronicity.
Van Morrison just epitomised COOL. What a man and WHAT A SONG!! I need days like this🙃 It came on the radio the morning of the day I retired. How fitting.
This is the best summer of my life. I saw my dad after 34 years. I brought his doggie home to love and make part of my family and my son is coming home. Thank God there are days like this!!
Depressed? How can you be?? Just turn on Sir Van! What a great video, Back on Top! How can you not like these great musicians all together! Wow! I have wore out a CD on my second one! I and my family loved listening to great music..at one time I owned 300 albums, later 300 cds..now..divorce 5 moves..maybe 5
A TRUE MUSICIAN in every sense of the word! Van Morrison makes music that is NEVER replicated--not many musicians can play his songs or music BECAUSE he uses so many different instruments AND doesn't follow the norm as far as a 1-2 count or 3/4 time, etc. THAT is WHY musicians who play "cover songs" don't EVER have his stuff in their repertoire... except for "Brown Eyed Girl" or "Gloria". NOT ONE musician, band or individual I've ever met, listened to or booked in 25+ years in the restaurant business, has EVER known "Into the Mystic". What a beautiful and GLORIOUS song, yet no one can replicate his TIMING--especially the opening chords! A TRUE masterpiece, along with "In the Garden" and "Tupelo Honey." I would trade or sell ALL of my earthly possessions JUST to hear & see him perform LIVE--ONE TIME. His live concert in Belfast in 2015 was so AWESOME it brought tears to my eyes! Knowing it was a homecoming of sorts--to play LIVE in the town where he grew up in the OUTSKIRTS OF BELFAST. Play on Van Morrison and I'll 'turn up..the radio..a little bit louder...radio.'
You might want to check out Chris Webster’s version of Ball and Chain. Also, the Jerry Garcia Band has covered Bright Side of the Road, And It Stoned Me, and a couple older tunes as well if you’re interested in that sort of thing. Having said that, there’s nothing that can compare to Van the Man. I’ve been blessed to see him a dozen times over the years in the SF Bay Area - every one was awesome,

When I was a child, my dad often listened in the summer when the sun was shining to Van Morrison and specifically this song . So everytime I listen to this song i get the feeling that it is actually summer!.
He is in the 10% of musicians that their music went through the decades. So many had great music but were just dated and the music style changed and they didn't. A few that stood the test if time. The Rolling Stones,Elton John, the late Tim Petty, and a couple country singers. Dwight Yoakam, and the late Merle Haggard music will always be timeless and there's many others
This is one of the most timeless, easiest listening, chillest, most uplifting songs I've ever heard in my 28 years on Earth. Instant favorite, and I wish I'd heard it earlier. I'm so grateful for music like this, and days like this.
YOU are so right! His music NEVER EVER loses its draw or its affection for his unique and one of a kind rhythm, bluesy, soulful and TRUE MUSIC--he plays WHAT he feels!!
I used to play this awesome track during my morning commute. I enjoyed it soo much because at the time I was getting my life back on track. Then covid happened. Sadly I am back down in the dark pit struggling again to climb back up. I just wanted to say this song was awesome during those morning drives and to everyone else enjoy things while they last. Days like this.

I have been waiting and waiting for season 2, and it could not be more perfect since I’ve lost my husband and I’m healing and the song is perfect for me at this time. Today was rough. This no accident that I just saw this. It’s synchronicity.

Love you.
Love this song so much!
My favorite Van song for quite a while. Great lyrics and musicianship. Just a perfect song.
Great collaboration…they sound perfect together
A TRUE masterpiece, along with "In the Garden" and "Tupelo Honey."
I would trade or sell ALL of my earthly possessions JUST to hear & see him perform LIVE--ONE TIME. His live concert in Belfast in 2015 was so AWESOME it brought tears to my eyes! Knowing it was a homecoming of sorts--to play LIVE in the town where he grew up in the OUTSKIRTS OF BELFAST. Play on Van Morrison and I'll 'turn up..the radio..a little bit louder...radio.'
the allman brothers in the late warren haynes era did a pretty good "Into the Mystic" but overall you are right
You might want to check out Chris Webster’s version of Ball and Chain.

Had the same experiences with my dad. Cheers
Thanks likewise XX 💯%
It's always summer somewhere...
Van the Man, your music will never get old.
I am 14 years old an this is the best song I 've ever heard. Love it!
You have great taste!
Welcome to the world of Van.
maybe your mother said:
there are days like this ......
have a nice day !!!
Your saved - you have soul
The gifted find wisdom before age.
His R&B, Soul and Blues sound are so incredible. A lot of musicians are easy to get enough and forget but not Van, he goes down to your soul.
My wife and our son just danced to this for the mother/son dance at his wedding! It brought tears and joy to the crowd. Perfect for that use!
This man sings from the deepest part of his soul. It makes every song worth listening to.
This is one of the most timeless, easiest listening, chillest, most uplifting songs I've ever heard in my 28 years on Earth. Instant favorite, and I wish I'd heard it earlier. I'm so grateful for music like this, and days like this.
Nothing brought me here. I'm here to listen to a legend sing
thats something...[?]
same here.
What about your mouse?
@Astoria Amen!!!

We played this at my father's funeral, love Van the man.
grew up to this song - thanks van
71, and Van the Man seems to have been there most of mt life. So grateful !
The One and Only Van Morrison. Others may come onto the music scene and fade but the Belfast Bluesman stands the test of time!
YOU are so right! His music NEVER EVER loses its draw or its affection for his unique and one of a kind rhythm, bluesy, soulful and TRUE MUSIC--he plays WHAT he feels!!
From my home town this guy, truly a true gent, gives me shivers every time I listen to him such a heavenly voice.
so true
Don Weimer You pretty much covered my comment !
Here here, makes me proud to be a Belfast boy🎶♥️
There is more soul in this song than 100 other hits combined.

My son and I danced to this last night at his wedding!! He let me choose the song weeks ago for our "mother and son dance". I think it was perfect!!
I also chose this song for mother, son wedding dance. Will treasure the memory of dancing with my son at his wedding. They grow up so fast.
Aww. Good choice!
A moment ONLY a mom will ever know! To be cherished forever!
That's good to hear that there's still some people out there with some soul congratulations to your son
Just found this for our mother-son dance in June. It IS perfect.
Sometimes there really good things, we just fail to look and appreciate them.
Truth = Fact ❤
