You’ll notice there is a door he has open to watch the rain outside. It’s the rolled up flap on the left. I would dig trenches around tent to divert runoff water from getting into tent. I’d also use second tarp for cover where you can sit and also cook. Please take me with you!!!😊

Next time in the rain, try this! Your fly is water proof already,spray your tent as well! Take the tarp that you have and overlap and attacht it over the entrance/door area in an angle like a lean and or vestibule/ touching the ground! ........[[[[[[[[×]___._/

Why does your tent need a tent? Can't you just spray it with water proofing spray and be done with it?

Water proofing spray is: 1. Most are flamable, so a campfire can be a deadly trap. 2. Retain heat, for people living in tropical countries, sleep in a water proof tent is like hell, can reach up to 37°C.
Also, this way you can protect all you gear nearby
