I like doing a brown base for dyeing like Cole does, it is the most prevalent color in nature across the globe-- then add some green as needed after either in rattle can or targeted patches with dye (may need to bleach out patches to do so with clothing, but it works) to create a more natural and disruptive pattern.

daily reminder ucp was an active sabotage against our military and probably caused a lot of deaths in afghanistan and iraq

Yep, UCP failed every test; maybe the fobbit who signed off will someday be named.

The military should have just dyed the old UCPs in tan and gave them to the Ukrainians.

The Ukes were too smart for that; they jumped right on Multicam.

@@petesheppard1709 Yea it’s a big problem everyone is wearing basically a U.S. uniform these days, Ukrainians, Russians, Civilians, Lebanese, Isis, Kurds, Turks, Taliban ,everyone. Not good.

@@nelson0110 Well, Multicam and its knockoffs IS one of the most effective patterns available. What's worse is how similar everyone's personal gear (helmets, LBE, etc) is. Back in the pre-camo days when everyone wore some shade of green, nation-specific helmets, etc helped distinguish nations.
In fact, part of the reason the USMC went with MARPAT was to be distinguishable. OK for pride, but perhaps not for OPSEC.

I'm liking the brown, I would think that Brent0331 needs to beta test your creations in a video 😂

To be fair, _small_ pieces of UCP aren't terrible as supplements to a larger camouflage pattern.

I've had pretty good luck with just straight taupe color die. Did my large and medium molle rucksacks that way. Turns the foliage green into a od green kind of. The lighter colors turn more into a coyote color. Early spring and fall seems to blend well.

I think this is the question. Will you shine like a beacon under nvgs?

Why not mix yellow and blue to make green. Could use more yellow than blue to get OD.

Sometimes this works with paints. It's much less successful with dyes.

    Lesson:
    "Tried and true" works.
Results can vary and there may be opportunity to experiment if you have extras.

spray painting is the quickest fix and dying the best for the fobbitflauge. also could you make a video on dying the air force abu tiger stripe stuff green? I would like to see whether that looks nice or not.

Do you have comments on the long term durability of the Aluminium/plastic Magpul bipods? Do you use them on LSW type weapons? Or would you consider that?
Is that maybe an opportunity for another video?
    Thanks!
