When I was a kid my Dad sent me out for fire wood. I found an elm on the side of a dirt road. Filled the whole truck up. When he saw it he just said “ son , not piss elm”. lol as for Cherry , that was picked out for cooking.
Love it. However I have been burning my elm and it burns O.K. I am glad when it’s gone though. I will cut some more tulip next year to use as fire starter and transitional wood.
@@offgridsimplicity if you let the elm season for an extended period of time , it really isn’t that bad. Locus as well. I know a lot of people won’t burn it but I have no issue.
