This interview gave a very honest and realistic perspective on moving to Ghana. Honestly, I think they were brave to take steps to move. I really enjoyed this interview. Hopefully, this will encourage me to know it's not impossible to move abroad.

Really good video. I follow almost all African TH-camrs religiously. Trust is really the key to building back home. I am also blessed to have a brother in my country of Liberia who is a construction engineer, he is in charge of my projects back there. It feels great that I can be here and have him carry on my works out there. I go home often to check on the projects, all going way beyond my expectations. I am excited.

Sort the accomodation first, talk to Ghana natural girl regarding land for sale and her husband is a top notch builder. You can trust them to build your house while you are away from home. They keep all the receipts for your project and keep you abreast. Without your own accommodation you are destined to fail. Give yourself 2 years to sort accommodation, the rest you will be laughing. @@kennykross3306 You can get your point across without being so nasty. I suggest you work on that. I am a born Ghanaian living in the abroad. However, I have noticed that some and I said some our our people especially those living in GH are too defensive when the facts are stated about GH. That’s not good.
Yes, there might be overprice homes in the states. However, the cost of living and pay in the USA comparable to the price of the homes. The point is the already home built to purchase in GH is too expensive for an average Ghanaian to purchase and that’s FACTS.
Yes, I have already built 6 apartments (2bd and 3bd) fully rented and working on my second project.
      Our GH are closed minded.
Mr. Kenny, I am coming from a good place. You need to change your attitude. If you living in GH, that attitude will ONLY work in GH. If you live abroad, I’m sure you’re having some challenges dealing with people with that attitude.

@@obaaAkos02 u people need change ur mentality. As I said ghana is a country where people can afford to buy a piece of land and build their homes. In addition to this, most americans dont even own their homes they live in. They pay mortgage for 30years and many fail to even finish paying their mortages hence why the become homeless. People need to understand that when ur borrow money in ghana especially the banks charged a lot of interests so of course they homes will be expensive. If you do not want to deal with this build ur own, that my motto.

I suppose, like anything in life, it depends what your objectives are and what your mindset is. Family, finance and health are also huge considerations. I have a feeling that, again, like anything in life, those who research and plan best, probably fare best. Some just skip on a plane with a suitcase of summer clothes and £1000 in their bank account ("Africa is cheap") and think they can just get by on foreigner charm! Those are probably the ones who are most likely to give up first.
