that's so sick! - bought my first subaru legacy 2023 - i can't wait to try this. thanks for this demo - a lot of people talk about it but doesn't actually show it in a real world situation
On my '21 Forester Sport the lane centering works a bit with Cruise control off. Although not to the extent that it does with CC on. If I veer too far to one side of the lane it will guide me back to center.
Driving hands free is really dangerous. Yes, it does have lane centering, and cruise control, but it isn’t a fully autonomous vehicle. Sometimes the car may not be able to read the road. Please be careful out there.
What if one of those trucks invades your lane while you are overtaking him? If you have your hand on the wheel, you can try to avoid the impact...in my opinion, we should never entrust the driving of the car to systems like this...
This looks unreal! no hands on steering, no water bottle hack. I have to say, this is almost at the level of SuperCruise. Subaru forums are filled with people complaining that even 2023 Subarus have buggy lane centering system that pulls the vehicle too much to one edge of the lane.

Wow, this is almost at the level of SuperCruise.
Hi Shimon! Thanks for the lane centering demo with your Ascent! Will the lane centering system work even if adaptive cruise is turned off? Thanks!
Hello! It’s my Subaru Outback Touring. And this feature only works when cruise control is on.

@@martam7345 That is lane-keeping, which works even without cruise control. Lane-centering system needs cruise control to be on.

The lane centering on my 2023 Legacy keeps the car too far to the left. Is there any way to adjust this?
I actually had kind of the same issue. I think since I took it a Subaru to make a wheel alignment everything got fixed.
Can you have adaptive cruise ON but the Lane Centering off?
Yes
great video!
Thanks 🙏
How long will it drive without touching the wheel?
Hello Phil! It won’t ask me to touch the steering as long he sees the lanes!
@@shimoncohen95 lucky, mine will alert me after about a minute. It will still drive but it will nag me. but I have an onyx edition

They changed the camera tech starting with the 2023 models and it seems to have resolved those issues
@@crashthestash Not on my car. I have a 2023 Crosstrek. Still likes to hug the right side of the lane sometimes.
@@Kragum24 yeah after using mine a bit more it's definitely not perfect
Did you add a weight to wheel ?
No not at all! As long the Facial recognition sees your eyes (that you are looking on the road) you really don’t need a weight wheel.
@@shimoncohen95 ah must be a touring feature. The Onyx doesn't have the eye tracking

This sistema Is original ?
Kind of!
