Speaking as a dental hygienist in her 30s who has a master’s degree in dental hygiene. If I had to do it all over again I would not . The return on investment is not comparable. I went to a private university. I loved being a clinical dental hygienist and wished I stopped at just my associates degree. Do not buy into the hype that more education is better. I think the younger generation is catching on but that’s my two cents.😘

      Same. Stopping at associates.
      I know I don't want to teach.
And the last time i wanna research is in this dental hygiene program for class assignments. You hear me.
Other than that, I see no benefit other then personal satisfaction and accomplishment.
I also already have a bachelor's degree so I've already proven to myself whatever I needed to. Dont know what that was since it was a waste of money which is why I've gone back to do hygiene but not making that mistake again.

From your fav Periodontist (LOL!) who speaks Italian, great video. I agree that the environment can make a big difference! Some environments (offices and teams) are simply better than others. When you own a dental practice/business, you must create an awesome work environment and also hire the right team! A lot more but you get the idea. Keep up the great work!

Hey. I was wondering if you could do a “what I eat in day video” vlog in which you go into the details and share recipes of what you eat to maintain your pearly whites, prevent staining and to keep things interesting, in terms of what you eat; without too many damaging foods to the teeth yet that is still importantly satiating and nutritious. Thanks 😊

Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! Great question...! It's super hard to say but overall - we were one of the first industries to open back up - however it was done on a state by state basis. A dentist is 100% essential because they were working the whole time for emergencies (as well as dental assistants). Hygienists are mostly back to working full-time due to the overflow of patients that were rescheduled during the shut down. Hope this helps.

@@TeethTalk Thanks. I graduated in August of 2019 but struggled to find employment until February of this year which I actually got a job as a sterile processing technician in a hospital which I'm satisfied with. I still have dental assisting as an option but would someday like to be a radiology technician at my work and my hospital can pay for when I want to go back to school. I still have a hygienist as another option as well. I'm wanting to see if I can do all my general eds online sometime.
