The way he laughs at his own jokes is fucking outrageous. Zero regard for the audience, zero regard for how uncomfortable he's making anyone, as if he's standing there telling those jokes for nothing more than his own amusement. One of the most fearless comedians to ever do it.
I mean that’s just being a comedian . Norm was special because of his delivery, wit, intelligence , perception, improv , and articulation. He developed a unique style. You just described what every comedian does, I mean if you don’t find it funny and you don’t find yourself the funniest person , you can’t be a comedian. As a kid, the rare glimpses I got of him watching weekend update were proof to me that not everyone was full of shit and that you could tell the truth in public, make people laugh and make the world a better place in the process. Given the recent events relating the world of comedy, is amazing to me how (despite a few awkard silences) is it possible that a room filled with some of the most powerful, influential and secretive people in the world, generally old, grumpy and very serious people,who have done some very nasty and dark stuff is able to take a lot of very sharp jokes at themselves better than a couple of vain celebrities. Like seriously, i'm amazed at how uptight Jada must be to get offended by something that light.

This guy cracks me up….not Norm, he’s funny. The guy at 1:40 after Norm informs the audience that he intends to do some jokes later. That guy doesn’t know it, but his refusal to smile is one of several reasons Norm loves being a comedian. His straight face only fuels the furnace of Norm’s ambition to continue.
The Alan Greenspan Andrea Mitchell joke was the greatest of the night I think it loosened everybody up and you could tell they both got good sense of humor

I love some of the really dumb jokes he threw in there, like the "fundraising midnight snacks" or the dorky Martha Stewart joke about building a bird house from all the leftover fish bones.

This guy cracks me up….not Norm, he’s funny. The guy at 1:40 after Norm informs the audience that he intends to do some jokes later. That guy doesn’t know it, but his refusal to smile is one of several reasons Norm loves being a comedian. His straight face only fuels the furnace of Norm’s ambition to continue.
The Alan Greenspan Andrea Mitchell joke was the greatest of the night I think it loosened everybody up and you could tell they both got good sense of humor
couldn't have chosen a better man to tell jokes us common fellas would understand while simultaneously flying over the heads of hundreds of congressman and the highest office in the land.
I love some of the really dumb jokes he threw in there, like the "fundraising midnight snacks" or the dorky Martha Stewart joke about building a bird house from all the leftover fish bones.
Such a damn legend. Rip.
