You have beautifully captured the majesty of the mountains, the beauty of the eastern sierras and the peace and solitude of back country trekking. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Thank you very much for your comment. Much appreciated. I am glad the video conveyed a glimpse of the hiking experience in the Sierras. Thanks for watching and enjoy it out there!
Another amazing video from you! ❤ You have captured breathtaking shots of sunrise/ sunset, shimmering water and the wonderful mountains! 👏🏽 Hats off to your dedication and hard work! I really need to get some tips from you for my trekking trip next year! 😍
It was indeed. The Eastern Sierra is incredibly beautiful. You know very well most of this itinerary, on my part I truly enjoyed it from start to finish. Amazing backpacking.
Awesome route and photography. Thanks for sharing your All Trails route. I day hiked from PineCreek TH to 1/2 way up Italy Pass a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed by the scenery. What was your plan for keeping the marmots from eating your gear/food?
Thanks for watching. I agree, scenery was amazing throughout the entire route. For the marmots (and other critters) I just try to keep my camp clean and keep all food and scent items in the bear canister, never in the tent. Also I keep an eye on my backpack when I take a break during the day and never leave it unattended. I did not have any problem with marmots on this or other trips. They tend to be more prone to approaching people packs and sometimes tents in areas where there is more foot traffic as they know people carry food. In less visited areas they usually run away as soon as they see people. This was the case for most of this trip.
@@TrailsOfWander Thanks for replying. I saw your cannistser in one of the scenes. I've had bad experiences with marmots in Colorado, not so much in CA. Keep posting your amazing work!
This kind of itineraries are certainly beautiful but they entails a lot of cross country backpacking which you need to be comfortable with. Particularly going up and down passes where there are no trails. Obviously I don't know what your backpacking experience is but if you only hiked on trails I suggest you to try an off trail section of a few hours first. Regarding finding a backpacking partner, on my part this year I know I will not be hiking in the Sierras, but maybe you can look on line, check with your local REI or browse itineraries on All Trails or Gaia GPS where sometime I see posts of people looking for partners. Enjoy it out there!

I live in central Cali and am looking for someone to take me on these adventures. I’ve done multi day hikes but nothing so beautiful!!
