To answer Laurens's question on 1:05 (if you don't know the answer already): Yes the 5 m rule also applies to penalty corners. See FIH rules 13.3 e "no defender or attacker other than the attacker taking the push or hit from the back-line is permitted to be within 5 metres of the ball when the push or hit is taken".
The lines on the back-line are there to make it easier to see if the PC is set-up correctly, i.e. ball at least 10 m from the goal and players 5 m distance. So if the ball is placed on the 10 m line, the defenders can stand all the way up to the 5 m line. When the ball is taken closer to the edge of the circle, the defenders can move outside of the first line if they want to, they just have to be 5 m from the ball.
As an extra, if you fluff the injection and the ball goes in very slow, the injector cannot touch the ball until another player touched it. A self-pass is not allowed at a PC.

Smash the first short corner top bins to scare the opposition for the remainder of the game. You'll score many shorts following that ;)
For successful conversion of corner into goal, the ball should be pushed fast and stoped and given at right place to the flicker before the first rusher reaches to the ball...

i know this is late, but in my school matches, we have the 4 players in the goal with the goalie (3 defence, 1 midfielder). 1 sprints out to the receiving player, two sprint out to the far left and right of the D, and 1 (usually me haha) stays in the middle

In a free hit just outside the circle, if you are in the circle you do not need to be 5metres. So I don’t really know but I assume you can be 5 metres away. You could play Tiktok hockey with the injector then as well working along the baseline and up to the top/penalty spot
But the defense is still running out.

As a defender, I love penalty corners (I know I shouldn’t but I really enjoy them) and when we take them, I usually run out to the top of the circle and block the shot. If you do another video on corners, could you help with the technique of that, I think I’ve got it but I want to know there’s anything better than what I do.

What is the rule about how high the ball can go when either hitting or drag flicking from short corners, as when I have been taught hockey I have never been told about that rule
When hitting the bal it can not go higher the plank from the goal and dragflick can go as high as you want.

the ball is not allowed to go above backboard height on the FIRST HIT, if it goes above the backboard height then drops it is disallowed. if it is flat hit then hits another attackers or defenders stick and goes above backboard height it is allowed

Christian Kerr if you look up fih penalty corner rules you will find a document that states: "the ball is placed on the back-line inside the circle AT LEAST 10 meters from the goal-post". Good luck with your game!!

Keep in mind everyone except the attacker who plays the ball has to be 5 meters away from the ball, also when taking a penalty corner. Therefore the theory at 0:59 can not be allowed by the umpire

Wait shouldn’t the stopper/receiver/castle have her stick outside the d or it technically means that the ball hasn’t left if it is stopped by a stick on the D...
jcalpha103 at the moment of inserting the ball technically all sticks and body parts of the other attackers must be outside the D, so technically you are right ( still have to meet the first red that actually checks that) but once the ball is inserted , the only requirement left is to stop or control the ball outside the D before a shot or dragflick on goal can be made. www.fih.ch/inside-fih/our-official-documents/rules-of-hockey/
Most international and national level games however Leiah's technique is used without any problems;)

That is one rule a lot of people get wrong. You can do a dragflick or shot on goal, you just cannot score. This is also stated in the FIH Umpire briefing: "If the ball has stayed inside the circle, it is not an offence to take a shot at goal-allow play to continue".
Therefore a foot on the goal line when the ball hasn't left the D isn't a penalty stroke, rather another penalty corner.
