You are welcome. I try to support USA products too. But for this, it all came down to being able to buy any replacement part I needed, especially those front nozzle and nozzle adapter seals. I hate a product that I cannot at least, attempt to fix.
@@ryanscarver No they don't cross over. The SureShot is inch treads and the vapor is metric threads. Time to give your Vapor to a friend and buy a SureShot. At least then you can buy replacement seals and accessories.
The nozzle seals are nothing special, you could easily find some online or at your local hardware store.. wouldn’t the vapor rebuild kit work with the Maddox? I agree, I’m all about being able to rebuild the things I own myself, and I think even the cheaper versions are pretty easily repairable.. At literally half the price I can buy a 2nd Maddox. thanks for taking time for the review, it shows people the options
You are right, on finding the seals, maybe a Ace Hardware, but not Homedepot or Lowes. Maybe McMaster Carr. I understand about rebuiding stuff yourself. Been doing it for almost 60 years. No the rebuild kit from Vapor will not work on the Maddox. The main reason I tell people to shop around, including shipping, is because other places have cheaper prices than the Manufacturer. I only use them as a reference, not necessarily a place to buy the original unit. Not everyone lives near a Harbor Freight. This is only for the day of this reply. If you buy the Maddox, including shipping and tax, it will cost you $51.08. If you buy the Sure Shot from National Tool Warehouse, including shipping and tax, it will cost you $58.68. Not exactly twice the price. $7.60 difference. Now shipping would probably vary, depending on where you live. It is not just the spare parts, the are a lot of accessories available for the Sure Shot. Not much for the Vapor and none for the Maddox. You may want to take a look at this video, to see some of the accessories available for the Sure Shot th-cam.com/video/oMbE0ApFaPs/w-d-xo.html
@ yeah you’re right I was looking at Amazon and the auto parts store for Sure Shot prices, where they are $65 I just picked up the Maddox today for $34 on sale.. I guess it just depends on how handy you are. These aren’t complex items to fix if they fail (which any brand can).
Thanks for the review , you have just ended my internal debate , sureshot it is .
You are welcome. Glad the video review helped.
Thanks, helpful.
Thanks for sharing. I like to support USA made items, but I bought the Vaper a week ago. Should have watched this video first 🙂

I wonder if any of the Sure Shot replacement parts cross over to the Vaper. I own the Vaper and would like to install the 12" flexible nozzle.
