    You could have added more detail by subdividing it a couple of times in Blender, sculpting detail, baking it (as a Normal map), and then returning it to base resolution before exporting it all back to DAZ. The preceding would NOT make a morph, but would/SHOULD give you a figure that you could then apply existing DAZ morphs to, while keeping the subd detail you added in Blender. _This is a question_

    • @tomasistudios2618
      @tomasistudios2618  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that might be a problem if you change the amount of polygons the figure wont reimport
      into daz

    Excellent tutorial! This helped a lot. A couple of things:
    1) The effect being less pronounced in Daz Studio, is that because we're applying lo-res morphs to a high-res model?
    2) Does the fact you can save the morphs under a specific part of the body parts tree, also mean that you can make a separate body and head morph from one obj file?
    3) Oh yeah, be careful around eyes... The eyeball (and its texture!) morph along with it.

    • @tomasistudios2618
      @tomasistudios2618  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1 yes the change is resolution is why the changes become less pronounced, 2 Yes you can save morphs separately, but only if you create them separately, if you make a ton of changes and import them into daz, and save them all of them will be on the same slider bar. I recommend making one change at a time, and import them 1 by one, I ill spend a whole day making different morphs and then mix and match them on a custom character, and yes eye morphs are bane of my daz existence.

    Thank you for your tutorial. It works a lot better than another I have seen on the same topic. For one, yours didn't turn my figure inside out, LOL.
    However, I'm experiencing another problem. I'm using Blender 3.4. I When I import Genesis 8 and go to sculpt tab, she's not smooth, she's blocky (only in sculpt mode--smooth otherwise), I did everything exactly as I should have, as far as I can tell... but any ideas what maybe went wrong? I DID make sure to set her to base mesh. But her morph *seems* okay in DAZ, when I bring her back up to higher than base resolution. Still, I want to make sure I have the best possible resolution.

    • @MaxVenous
      @MaxVenous 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, you first have to take a G8 or G9 model and export it to blender, and then first set it up
      Plus I would recommend Zbrush rather than blender
      Sculpting is done in Zbrush

      I think you forgot to convert your resolution.... By default it sets to High resolution but you need to select the base resolution options before sending it to blender... You will find that option in Mesh resolution options under the parameters tab
