That Toyota 7 sounds like a jet plane once it reaches the 300kmh+ mark. I absolutely love the attention to detail in sound design in this game. Hugely underrated aspect of the game imo. Hardly ever see anyone talk about it. Excellent run and this video definitely makes me wanna try and get the Toyota 7 at some point!
Wow, Amazing effort. Just started the game again over Christmas and going to try and get 100% with no b-spec, already got the 24hour nurburghring and mission 34 out of the way so it's try and find the time to do the rest. Still one of my favourite ever games
After you get the turbo for your Toyota 7, it’s probably worth tuning the gears to be as long as possible (just set the preset to 25). The car has so much power at that point that it doesn’t need short gears and you’ll spend less time shifting in general, not to mention the massive top speed increase.
Interesting. To be honest I haven't run this game in 3 years so I can't really comment much on that. But I know this route is far from perfect, there are many potential improvements here and there.
@@mooreanonumbers I see, and I realize you want to spend as little time in the menus as possible. But the car can likely reach 440kmh with longer gears on tracks like Le Mans if I remember correctly.
@@dust133 Good point. The Toyota 7 is one of the few cars where spending time to set it up right is worth it because you spend so much time in it. I just did not really experiment much with this because this because my main priority was getting the race skips working, those were by far the lowest hanging fruits.

@@mooreanonumbers It's been forever since I played but I'm sure off memory you can do quite a few championships designed for Sports cars like a Corvertte C5 and enter with Race cars like an Audi R8 with just Sports tires and still be allowed. Seriously looking at this run it's amazed how many championships the Toyota 7 is allowed to dominate
To think there are only three posted speedruns for the any% of GT3 and only two for GT4. It's insane. To me this has the appeal of a GTA speedrun because you could go about completing the game in any way you'd want to - picking cars and what races to do and so on. Sad really.
@@mooreanonumbers i think run woud be more fun if u didn't need to use toyota 70s car for like 80% of it. Like if driving missions weren't allowed or smth. This way even tho i love the game and play it still from time to time i woud never bother to speedrun it
@@mooreanonumbers I'm watching this just because I was thinking of what would be a good game for me to start speed running on. Gran Turismo is what I played most growing up. It would be hard for me to have 9 continuous hours, but it would be fun to try for the record on weekends.
I was going to make nasty comments staying you skipped some stuff, but after checking the linked guide it does not require some of what I thought was skipped. I would like to see how long it would take to 100% this game, in a speedrun fashion.
And don't forget the 100% Includes Events like the Dirt,Snow,Tarmac and Special Condition Races. Those are races that you cannot B-Spec'd. That will take a long time seriously.
Is there any place where I can check out the individual wr for each track? Also, would be cool to have new categories such as licenses only or extreme conditions
Hi, cyberscore is probably the best place for individual levels. Most of the times are pretty old, and proofless though. I agree, new categories would be nice, but we need more runners for that.
You can actually beat the gt world championship with the Suzuki escudo pikes peak Thats how i did it, you just have to tune it right The toyota 7 is an interesting choice though

If you like the part where he drives the car then you'll love the part where he makes it in time

The part where he goes through the menus isn't bad either

The cars in GT4 sound all like vacuums because of audio compression. WTH are you talking about

100% was done before by a team of 4, it took them 230 hours but it could probably be shortened by 10 or 20 hours with better preparation and training.
@@mooreanonumbers damn that like a week
Did you plan on speedrunning the game 100% including the endurance?

Yeah, there are many cars that can win the GTWC, the reason we use the Toyota 7 is that we can obtain it very early in the game.
