Interesting. To be honest I haven't run this game in 3 years so I can't really comment much on that. But I know this route is far from perfect, there are many potential improvements here and there.

@@mooreanonumbers I see, and I realize you want to spend as little time in the menus as possible. But the car can likely reach 440kmh with longer gears on tracks like Le Mans if I remember correctly.

​@@dust133 Good point. The Toyota 7 is one of the few cars where spending time to set it up right is worth it because you spend so much time in it. I just did not really experiment much with this because this because my main priority was getting the race skips working, those were by far the lowest hanging fruits.

Hi, it's been a long time since I ran this game so I am not sure. Licenses are a high risk low rewards section in Gran Turismo runs in general so I was probably just being careful.

It was apparently the first or one of the first games made to fully support the dual shock controller also so that might be it

@@sebastianaliandkulche For GT1 and 2 I usually just tapped the d-pad, when I didn't have one of those mad catz spring-centered steering wheel controllers anyway lol I saved up my lawn mowing money and bought a Logitech force feedback wheel used from a pawn shop pretty shortly after I got my hands on GT4 and never went back... When I replay the old ones I usually stick to my original strategy of holding the d-pad until I've turned in enough and then quick carefully timed taps of press/releasing the button for the appropriate time to keep the steering angle. I personally always felt like I had better luck that way in the PS1 games at least. Adding the pressure sensitivity from the Dual Shock 2 to the face buttons for gas and brakes for GT4 was cool too, cuz you could get analog gas/brakes and analog steering, which got me to use the sticks more before I got the wheel... I never used the stick for steering before that really

I'm always worried about hardware and disc reliability on long runs(PS2 slims were not really built to last that long), I've always assumed not having to load music is suppressing one potential point of failure but don't quote me on it

Yeah, ditto for World Compacts. I wish GT4 race restrictions didn't have so many loopholes.

@@mooreanonumbers It's been forever since I played but I'm sure off memory you can do quite a few championships designed for Sports cars like a Corvertte C5 and enter with Race cars like an Audi R8 with just Sports tires and still be allowed. Seriously looking at this run it's amazed how many championships the Toyota 7 is allowed to dominate

100% was done before by a team of 4, it took them 230 hours but it could probably be shortened by 10 or 20 hours with better preparation and training.
