I love this and made one. My kids are so excited that I actually made this and it looks like a professional did it according to the kids. Thanks so much.
I'm really excited to try this! My husband and I got married in 2022, but didn't get stockings last year cause we don't really have a mantel/area to put them. We still don't, but I have been thinking about it and knowing I'd want something I could get more of for kids down the road without having them be mis-matched. Making them myself is the perfect solution!!
@katiebygrace I've never had a mantle growing up, so we put the stockings on our sofa. My daughter hangs them on the wall quite nicely until Christmas and then puts them on the sofa.
I'm having a hard time seeing where to actually attach the yarn for the ribbing... you don't show you attaching it, you go from one view of the stocking to the next one already being attached. I get this may not be a beginner pattern, but for this video to be labeled a tutorial, it would help a lot to see where to actually attach and join. This is just one of the many times it was hard to see something you were trying to show. But I was able to figure out the other parts... would be nice to follow along.
In the video when making the collar, you say that the traditional hexagon stocking will have more rows than shown in the video. Is that part of the pattern written somewhere? I don't see it included in your blog. Thanks!
I am making the traditional granny hexagons, & they’re coming out very wavy. Is that normal? Will it smooth out when blocking? Or is my hook too small?
Hi!! Love the pattern… I’ve never done a stacked single crochet. Does it make a huge visual difference when using the stacked single crochet versus chaining two or just a double crochet?
Someone please help 😭 the slip stitch is catching me up! She slip stitched 2x then is immediately back to the ch1 space, but mine isn’t adding up? What am I doing wrong? If I skip to the ch1 space it comes out crooked 😫
I'm making this with the traditional granny square pattern currently, and I'm having a lot of trouble with the ribbing pulling and bulging in different spots, it does not want to lay flat 😓
I’ve worked up a hex in both patterns and feel the same. Personally, debating a heavier yarn weight, which I think might diminish the appearance of the chain gaps, but I think some amount of hole is normal in the granny square style. (Not an expert though.)
I tried both of them again since commenting. I just can’t seem to get that last row aligned right. Something isn’t adding up for me. I did the first 2 circles and then single stitched 3 more rows to get the shape… but not I can’t get the flattened slip stitch. I am sure it is me… but I just can’t get it right. It’s a beautiful stocking. But it’s driving me nuts!!!
@tnarepus1 I ended up completing it but had the same problem that the final row that completes the toe doesn't sit right. I'm not completely happy with it but it is definitely a Xmas stocking
@tnarepus1 yeah I'm making a second one now. I changed up the join to something I'm more comfortable with that still sits flat. But that last row of two for the heel and toe of the stocking is driving me insane. I'd love for the creator to reply and help us out!
Do you have the written instructions anywhere? The last row of the puff stitch you never gave a count and I am confused on how many puffs I should have and how many ch 1 there are. Please help
Im confused. The pattern on your website under supplies says H hook. Is there a reason u are using a G hook in the video instead? I know i can use whatever hook i want, whether preference or for gauge, but l wasnt expecting the hook in the video to be different
@IthilwenRose in crochet you can use any hook and any yarn combination that you want. The size of your item will change depending upon the choice you made.

It's perfect for that one person that has everything!!
Great pattern, quite clever with the tie construction. I am just doing my first one.
Thankyou❤
This is the cutest granny stitch pattern.. I love I can just whip the hexagons up and relax from the counting…

Thank you! I made it and it is beautiful! My most challenging so far ❤
I'm struggling to see where to join for the ribbing. I can't quite tell from the video
You're not the only one. Did you ever get it figured out?
Tap the screen and zoom in
OMG! I already made christmas stockings but I LOVE this pattern. Im really liking these hexagon granny square designs

Uuuuuuuhhhh ...meraviglioseeee😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
What sort of yarn is best please?

Never mind, I accidentally did row 3 the same as row 2.
Beautiful:)
Hi!! Love the pattern… I’ve never done a stacked single crochet. Does it make a huge visual difference when using the stacked single crochet versus chaining two or just a double crochet?
Yes it does! It makes for a cleaner edge. But you can always substitute with a chain two if you prefer.
@@BrianaK thanks soo much answering my question!! 😊
Mine had huge gaps in the granny square and the outside was hardly a hexagon. Any idea what went wrong?
The outside was really curly

If it’s bulging you might need to adjust your tension or go down a hook size.
I’m like a beginner beginner but ima try this anyways
How is it that we get the written pattern? Is it for sale somewhere?

My puf stitch in the stackt stitch looks weard in the end iit “comes” out my hexy
I'm making this pattern at the moment and mine seems overly hole-y. Have I don't something wrong?
Same. I have taken it apart 4 different times. I finally had to sit it down. 😢

And in the video description she says 4.00MM, which in my hooks is an F 😭
It might be depending on what weight yarn you use, I used a G with Medium (4) yarn and it was a little tight but still worked up fine

I love these stockings!!🤗😍
