  • Thank you so much for watching my video! I hope you enjoyed watching this Girl of Today #10 be restored! I am aware of the many preferences and variations to restoration techniques, and this is just a few of the ones I used on a doll for myself.

    why would people be mad about cutting the longer hairs? i think she looks so much better after ❤

      thank you so much!! I just felt like people might say it takes away from her value to “cut the hair” but it’s just a trim, she’s fine 😅 thank you for your kind comment 🖤

      I think even the AG Salon will cut stray hairs.

    Beautiful! She's number 19, though. Number 10 has really dark hair, almost black.

    I love using a clothing steamer on doll hair, I really prefer it to a boil dunk. She looks great! It’s so satisfying cleaning up a dirty doll.

    • @devilclawz_
      @devilclawz_  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Me too! Depending on the condition and goal of the hair, I definitely think there's perks to both! For older girlies like her, the steamer is the move for sure :) Thanks for commenting!

    I have that same doll, she’s one of the most beautiful GOT transitional dolls. I’ve seen the PC #10 and she’s also extremely beautiful, hopefully I will also be able to get her one day for my GOT collection.
    Just a couple of comments - never wash/rinse Kanekalon wigs with hot water, it will frizz up and dry out worse because it’s plastic. Always use cool water.
    - And it’s best to use a shampoo made for synthetic wigs, one that doesn’t have any oil in it since oil degrades the plastic hair fibers. Once the hair is washed and no longer musty smelling, you can use a steamer if you need to restyle her pie bangs. I use a steamer and a half inch dowel to get the perfect inward (not outward) curve for the pie bangs and the ends of her hair.

    This was great! Thanks for sharing! I am curious how you made sure there was no water inside the limbs? I haven't restrung a doll yet but so far this looks like easiest way to do so! Your doll is GORGEOUS!

    • @devilclawz_
      @devilclawz_  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much!! I just try to let them dry and cool off before attaching. I've also heard of people putting the limbs into a ziplock before putting them into the water, but I haven't tried that yet!

    • @ALT-vz3jn
      @ALT-vz3jn 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can use a hair dryer to soften up the limbs instead of boiling water. That way you don’t get water in the limbs. Then make sure they cool down before restringing the limbs.

    Conditioner doesn’t deposit anything into human hair either LOL conditioner literally coats the hair and seals it so it’s more manageable and doesn’t tangle. My dolls have amazing extremely soft hair because I use conditioner , also if that’s the case why use shampoo? Just use dish soap.
