    I live in the midwest in the suburbs. Most difficult "terrain" in my town is speedbumps. I don't camp; I have no skills and I'm allergic to moss. I drive a Kia. The last tent I pitched I was four and it was in my parents' living room and it was made from my dad's grill cover, sheets off the bed in the guest bedroom and my little sister's security blanket. I'm terrified of owls. I work in a sterile environment sorting surplus zoo medications. I sleep in hospital linens. I bathe with surgical soap. I boil my socks.
    AND I STILL WANT ONE!

      It sounds like you have what's called a "hillbilly bone"... From Siberia to all other parts of the world, this condition provokes a broad grin, a healthy appetite for fire and meat, and promotes bragging, LOL! Given the chance, not too many people would turn down a chance to drive a Sherp in the filthiest backwoods mudhole around. Boiled socks be danged!

    So easy to figure out why the sherp was the superior vehicle at that rally, it was purpose designed for forging through mud that would literally swallow modern fwd trucks and vehicles.have a friend in Russia that has one and is always sending me videos of trips out into the Russian tundra. The sherp will go places where even the famous Russian DT-30 can't go due to the mud. Amazing little mini trucks.

      Шерп с ДТ-30 рядом не стоял - ДТ-30 это другой уровень, те более Шерп не может ехать по глубокому снегу, а по не глубокому в горку

    What an amazing vehicle. I love how russians can turn a relatively simple idea into something amazing. No suspension, primitive "tank steering" system, and yet it just works wonderfully.
    How do the trails look afterwards? Seems like it flattens out the ruts that the ATV's leave

      It's $60,000.
      CJ5 with CTIS axles and you have more mobility then this, and drive it on the street.
      It is a great idea, but it costs around the same as a New Corvette Stingray..

    • @budnixon
      @budnixon 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      biggest advantage would be only that its "street drive-able", keep in mind that SHERP was never built to be driven on the street, so not exactly comparing apples to apples... and CJ5 could never do all of the things even with portal CTIS axles that SHERP does...
      For one - CJs dont float... :)
      p.s. I'm a Jeep owner myself...

      Pasko New Year No its not. Some of the Formula offroad trucks can literally driver across water and drive straight up cliffs. This truck can drive on literally any trail and over small bumps. But it couldn't do any grades which is when you really get "offroad."

      There is no best offroad vehicle, as there is no best on road vehicle. Applications are too different. I doublt that Sherp is very usefull for mining companies. Whereas somethig like Shaman or Trekol is not very usefull for hunters.

    • @MrPaukann
      @MrPaukann 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jordan Prier, they can indeed, but in like 50% of times they try they fail and that can result in flooding the engine.

    • @jordanprier4016
      @jordanprier4016 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MrPaukann Yeah but this really ain't close to being the best off-road vehicle. Great for muddy roads though.
