Phil Spector often used session singers instead of the original Ronettes on the recordings. In fact, I read that Ronnie would often be in the studio recording while the Ronettes would be on tour with a replacement. And you know, the audience did not seem to mind or even care or even know the difference.
As someone that shook hands with Tina Turner I must say I wish I had met Ronnie Spector. This song is so memorable and what a great voice she has! Absolutely Wonderful! What a great time we had!

Ronnie and Nedra did bring Estelle out at the end of the song to take their final bow. Estelle died a few months after they were inducted
I'm 71 now, and if I ever hear those drums beat out those first four thunderous sounds, my whole body 'tingles', Just as it did when I was just 18! I await that wonderful classic by the Ronettes. I thought it to be fabulous at 18, and I still do. My local Supermarket sometimes plays it, albeit, not as loud! But you can hear people close by quietly singing it or 'da daingit'
