  • G'day folks! It's been a long time between videos...sorry about that. Plenty of hold ups, some lengthy decision making processes and just general rigours of life dictating their terms. I have ticked off a lot of jobs on the wagon though and well, I think I'm close, very close to the end.
Thanks for sticking around and as always, stay well.
    Cheers,
    Mark.

Penultimate came into English in the 17th century from the Latin word paenultimus, a combination of paene, meaning “almost,” and ultimus, meaning “last.” So if something's penultimate, it's “almost last”: more specifically, it's next to last.

Hey there Chris. Yep, indeed it was the next to last episode. 🙂

Hi there, love your gypsy wagon. I am a wagon nut. I have a 3 tonne Omnibus and ran a dine on board horse drawn restaurant in Healesville for a few years using three huge Clydesdales. I have a pole and/or shaft set up and yes looks a bit like yours. One goes in the middle between the shafts, then you put a horse on each side. Each horse has it's own swingle tree. Are you going to drive horses with this wagon? You might need a team of three. When creating a wagon for horses, weight is always a consideration. When going along with horses, usually a heater that takes sticks you find on the sides of the road is enough to boil a kettle and keep a small space warm. It can get stuffy in a small space sleeping with the wood stove on all night. If your going to drive it with horses, maybe consider putting in a cup holder where you sit so you can have a cuppa or other whilst going along. Thanks for sharing your very cool project. Its beautiful.

      That Omnibus sounds cool.
I started this project with a vision of having it pulled by a horse, but I've since learned what I have here, (which I'll discuss in the next episode) , and that it was never a one horse carriage. And with that knowledge...I don't think I'll be pulling it by horse. But I still haven't ruled out a horse making an appearance! Cup holders in vehicles...no matter the vehicle...are the first thing I look for 🙂
      Thanks for watching 🙂

This was the most peace I have had watching this from start to finish. I was about to give up this dream of building mine, to many things kept happening. Inspiration is something we all need sometimes but this feels more like a "You can do it" I needed even more.

I'm glad you've got something out of it. 🙂
Don't give up! Those many things you mention have recently been preventing me from getting the next video up. But I'm glad to say I'm smashing through the brick walls and getting so close to finishing.

Thanks Christopher. I will equally be sorry and delighted to say, "Done". One of my final touches, which I haven't started yet, I need perfect weather, will be time consuming for me...maybe not for a professional...but worth it I think.

I'm having to employ that patience as well. Another roadblock forced me off my feet, a couple of seized up muscles causing a pinched nerve. Horrible stuff. Only just starting to recede.

@RedPathRambler I have to suggest getting a massage. If a good therapist isn't accessible try a foam roller.

@RedPathRambler good to see you are taking the natural approach to healing. I forgot to mention a tens unit as well. Head it off with all the alternatives available. Over 20 years a massage therapist myself. Let's see a quick recovery!

Sitting and doing nothing is the hardest part. But I'll get through it. Thanks for the concern. 🙂
