I paid 44k for my 2019 rav4 hybrid xse. 2 days after I bought it someone parked behind me and took a chunk out of my bumper. Well i bought both a front and back bull bar and yes it's for looks and protection
Which bull bar did you get for your back bumper?
I'll just bet that it LOOKS like shit!!! Bull bar on the rear bumper? What part of that makes you assume that would look good? You need to be slapped for such a dumb idea
Nobody brake checks me anymore since I got mine.....
lol
Right after I bought my 2017 Tacoma, a guy side swipped me in a low car on the highway. The 5 inch Lund side step bars took the entire hit. Zero damage to the body or paint. Just traded in for a 2021 Tacoma and I'm putting the exact same side steps on it day one. Researching front protection. Guy backed into my 2017 Tocoma and did 2700 worth of damage at 5 mph.
Small hit will damage a car it qlways better that you have somethong cheap to take the hit than the car that is expensive to fix
That was not correct. Bull bar on my CRV hit a deer approx 60 lbs at 70 MPH and did nothing to my car.
Does bullbars affect the sensors of airbags??
Yes
3 Reasons To Have Bull Bars On A Truck Or SUV:
1) Protects The Front End If Some Idiot Pulls In Front Of You And You Don't Have Time To Stop.
2) They Make Any Vehicle Look Better To The Owner Than They Already Are.
3) You Can.
It also doesn’t allow crumple zones to perform properly in serious crashes, leading to more energy transfer in the cabin, which means worse injuries.
I have a hitch step from amazon that cost me under $40. It's "impact plastic" and can only hold about 300lbs BUT it's visible from my rearview camera giving me a perfect way to line up my truck in a parking spot without risking my bumper.
I saw that one too and was considering it. But I am 275 and I wanted to be xomftable to jump on it without breaking. Bumper protection wise they do almost exact thing
The outtakes... lol
Its not a bull bar-its a nudge bar
It has lots of names, depending were you are from and were you use it.:)
The bigger ones you referenced is really a grill guard or some call it a brush guard.
I’m searching options for a nice solid Grill Guard/Brush Guard…
And all these tiny bull guards show up in the search,
They are ok if you like that sort of thing & look ok on small trucks,
But offers very little protection,
None to grill, none to the headlight area, etc…
But on a larger truck like I have,
They look kinda pointless
Will this protect you from when hitting a deer?
It might minimize the damage but it will not fully protect it. It may protecr your car feom small objects or if it goes under the car but not the grill
I have hit two with mine. The first didn't cause any damage. The second deer was much larger, and caused a little damage from the bar pressing against the top of the bumper. I only need to replace the small plastic piece of the upper bumper.
Would a bumper grille gaurd combo like what move or ranch hand has help better?
Just remember your airbags wont deploy , I had one of these on my explorer. Got into an accident and my face slammed against the steering wheel, took out my front teeth
This parlicular bar should not effect the airbags. But some bull bars might. Especially the heavy duty ones can stop airbags from deployment.
This is so bad, I dont know what else to say
Bro, just google “Bull Bar” and you’ll see that yours is just a nudge bar, only good for holding a led bar or whatever
Technicaly it is a bull bar but it functions as a nudge bar
Great Video - very informative and like all the other comments - I like the looks but also want the little protection from those bumper maniacs.
Liked the video...I too am getting a Bull Bar to protect the front of my truck. The bloopers were a nice touch. Well done!
Thanks! 👍
go visit a salvage auto site, look at the types of damages , you’ll get an idea what part of the auto is involved in accidents , don’t matter what you have, car truck suv. get a bull bar, as for the rear guard , get a full bumper guard
get it if little dings and minor scratches bother you, some dumb chic backed into my suv and made a 2 hair diameters thick scratch, it drives me crazy, if only i had a cheesy bumper guard
AYY fellow bostonian I can't tell how many clown almost hit me in downtown
So far i was rear-endend ince and I had at least 6 people opening their doors and hitting my side step bar. No damage to my car.
I'm putting one on my charger
This is a nudge bar
go pats
Just use heavy duty push bumper that cover the entire front
I loved your video especially the recorded bloopers hahahaha accent is cool too. I will subscribe if all your videos are like this one
Mi received alot of good feedback regarding that, i will try my best to make videos like that
I envision Christopher Walken when I hear this guy talk
STOP WITH THE DAMNED MUSAK
This video is hilarious
Great for defeating airbags from deploying
Bull bars are nothing more then cosmetic snd to hold lights on. You want protection get a 2in tube brush guard
Bro i Wouldn’t even put that on a golf cart
I think it might actually look good on a golf cart. I should try photoshop one on a golf cart
where i can buy this bull bar please suggest
There is a link to Amazon for the bull bar. I also have a video on instalation you may find usefull
Bravo. I like this. We have same opinions. You are smart guy 👍🏼
What is the measurement from bottom of door to top of side step?
I will try to get you the measurements by tomorrow
4" from the bottom of the door to the step
I live in mass where did you get your bull bar installed?
I did it my self and made a video at the same time. Not difficult.

Can’t respect a guy that side a guy that started a truck video saying it makes the car look good
I want my three minutes back.
3 minutes, you dint even watch the whole video? I left the best for last
Now I want my five minutes back!
@@marktobin5783 do you take your truck offroad?
I do but it’s for work generally. I had a Tacoma with that same exact bull bar. Was great for a light mount. Not much more. I got in a low speed accident and it crumpled up into the grill. Here’s what you need on the front my friend. Its more expensive, but your truck is also $40k. This winch mount is actually functional protection. Also if you install a winch, you can recover your truck or help others.
Warn 100044 semi hidden winch mount.
There's actually a study that bull bars do more harm than good for the vehicle it's attached to...
If you have new car. Any new scratch hurts, any way to minimize that helps
Link? I'm curious
Bull Shit.
I mean if you buy a shit one absolutely, but if you buy an ARB bumper then no it won't most of the trucks/SUVs that have them are fine it's usually the car that they hit that ends up being totalled
This guy is correct. These little bull bars are more harm than good simply because if you get into a collision the bull bar will exxagerate the damage because it is attached under front bumper and it will actually get pushed into your front grill and rip up from the bottom. I seen it. More harm than good.
Bull bar is not going to stop anything
It will stop small stuff that can rip your plastics off and protect your car from other cars bumping into yours when they are parking. Its not meant to stop big rocks or a pole but
I had a fender bender with mine, damage would have been much worst without the bull bar.
@@shadowtiger2363 if you can’t jack the car up by the bar it’s not going to stop anything. It’s sheet metal, maybe 2 lbs worth of it
